There are many reasons for the same. Though get scaling done and if require flap surgery if your gums are compromised. If severe sensitivity persists later then intentional root canal therapy to get rid off sensitivity.

Correct brushing technique means placing the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle toward your gum line and gently moving the bristles back and forth in short strokes. Make sure to brush the outer, inner and biting surfaces of all your teeth. Brush your tongue as well, or use a tongue cleaner to remove the bacteria.

Mix one teaspoon of baking soda with a little water to make a thin paste. Dab it on the affected area. Repeat this several times a day. Alternatively, you can simply put baking soda directly on your mouth ulcer. Also apply little honey. It takes 7-10 days to heal.

Hi, If alignment of teeth is not proper, this problem can b solved by orthodontic(braces) treatment and if alignment is normal then u can go for veneers which covers front surface so gap won't be visible.

Bleeding from gums suggests there is inflammation in the gums. Visit a dentist for a clean-up and to know the cause and treatment of the bleeding.

Bad breath can be reduced or prevented if you: practice good oral hygiene. Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to remove food debris and plaque. Don't forget to brush the tongue, too. Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months or after an illness. Use floss or an interdental cleaner to remove food particles and plaque between teeth once a day. See your dentist regularly -- at least twice a year. He or she will conduct an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning and will be able to detect and treat periodontal disease, dry mouth, or other problems that may be the cause of bad mouth odor. Drink lots of water. This will keep your mouth moist. Chewing gum (preferably sugarless) stimulates the production of saliva, which helps wash away food particles and bacteria.

Gum diseases can be treated and reversed in their initial stages very easily. By getting the accumulated tartar and plaque removed by a dentist, there is a chance that they can get better without much ado.

We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning, root canal treatment & capping. Until then apply clove oil on the decayed tooth. Rinse frequently with mouth wash.

My gums keep on bleeding frequently although I brush twice a day and keep it clean. I use colgate sensitive toothpaste. Can it be related to my menstruation as it started after I started taking pain-killer pills (meftal-spas). Is it poisonous to my body in any way? can you please recommend some proper remedy?

Give remedy for yellow teeth and for halitosis.
Yellowness can be reduced by cleaning and polishing and if need be by bleaching, for halitosis first of all your digestion should be proper and than make it a habit to brush after every meal and use listerine mouthwash after every meal.

Dear lybrate-user, nerve block treatment is generally safe if performed by a qualified practitioner. Any treatment can have its side effects. You should ask your treating doctor to explain the procedure and its side effects to you. You should also ask your doctor any questions and doubts you have. Your doctor knows what is the procedure to be performed. To understand your problem in detail I would like t have your symptoms and reports in detail. You may consult me or have a second opinion by a qualified practitioner.

Cavity can be treated either by filling or rct depends upon the condition of pulp. Get one x-ray done. It will help to decide the treatment you need. For prevention you should take care of your oral hygiene. Brush twice regularly. Rinse after every meal. Floss your tooth to prevent food impaction.

It may be an ulcer or could be some pathology. Visit your nearest dentist. If required biopsy can be done.

The Benefits of Sealants

BDS

Ask Free Question
Dental sealants act as a barrier to prevent cavities. They are a plastic material usually applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth (premolars and molars) where decay occurs most often.
Thorough brushing and flossing help remove food particles and plaque from smooth surfaces of teeth. But toothbrush bristles cannot reach all the way into the depressions and grooves to extract food and plaque. Sealants protect these vulnerable areas by 'sealing out' plaque and food.

Sealants are easy for your dentist to apply. The sealant is painted onto the tooth enamel, where it bonds directly to the tooth and hardens. This plastic resin bonds into the depressions and grooves (pits and fissures) of the chewing surfaces of back teeth.

The sealant acts as a barrier, protecting enamel from plaque and acids. As long as the sealant remains intact, the tooth surface will be protected from decay. Sealants hold up well under the force of normal chewing and may last several years before a reapplication is needed.

During your regular dental visits, your dentist will check the condition of the sealants and reapply them when necessary.
The likelihood of developing pit and fissure decay begins early in life, so children and teenagers are obvious candidates. But adults can benefit from sealants as well.
