U better visit a dentist. As no tooth paste can cure cavity. And if it's pyrrhoea in your mouth tooth paste only can't help you out.

Hi could you please recommend any teeth whitening gels or anything that would help to remove the yellow stains and make teeth white again?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with whitening (bleaching) procedures and / or artificial enamel filling. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

I have a teeth which needs rct but I am very much scared of the pain. As I also have a injection phobia. Get faint out. How to get rid of tooth pain. I put cotton to cover cavity so temprly no food goes there. Please advice.

Certified Implantologist, BDS

Fainting during injection is due to fear of something. What do you fear of. Ask your doc to spray anaesthetic over area where it's to be injected. This will reduce the pain of injection you r taking.

I got pain sometimes in my teeth and after two or three days it automAtically went off. What should I do?

MDS Prosthodontics
Dentist, Amravati
Brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water to keep the area clean. - avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums.

I'm having pulpitides on my two wisdom teeth. Now I'm taking antibiotics for three days. And I'm going to get my teeth removed 3 days later. The problem is that my heart rates keep accelerated, and I have some headaches too. Looks like my infections are not 100% under control. Q1, Can I still go for teeth extraction 3 days later? Or can I still wait for 3 days? Q2, What should I do to minimize any complication during and after the surgery? Thanks a billion.

BDS, CDE Endo-Prostho, CDE - Cast Partial & Complete Dentures
Dentist, Pune
Hello, it is a systemic problem. You need to consult a physician, and get your blood pressure and cardiac levels checked. Under the physician's recommendation, you can get your tooth removed or not.

Lybrate-user your father is having less saliva in his mouth from last six months. There can be many reasons for dry mouth. See dental surgeon for check up and follow advice. Ask him to drink plenty of water. More of fluids and soft diet. Rinse mouth frequently and before going to sleep.

Hi good morning sir/madam in my mouth left side down of last teeth was in half black colour and right side down line last teeth was in small black can you please give suggestions for good health mouth fresh.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Cavities are black colour discoloration of teeth, which is the initial symptom of tooth decay. •If your cavity in the tooth is caused by decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection.

What is the permanent cure for peridontis. I've few loose teeth and the dentist I approached did flap surgery. Situation was fine for two years and after that they started moving again.

BDS
Dentist, Hyderabad
Maitaince of oral hygiene is the only permanent treatment coz flap surgery removes the infected granulation tissue around the bone to rejuvinate the gums with new blood circulation but if you don't maintain than the recurrance of the previous treatment.

I am 59 years mail suffering from gum pain and swelling on gums. Unable to eat hard food and spicy food. Pls. Advice medicine.

Certified BPS Dentist
Dentist, Trivandrum
It is due to gum infection which is again due to calculus deposit on teeth and into the gums. You have to see a good dentist who will clean the teeth with an ultrasonic scaler or a periodontist who is specialised in gum surgery. You have to take medicines and mouth wash. If you are diabetic please check and report that to doctor. If you have any chewing habits or smoking habits please stop that. Please tell the doctor that you have difficulty in taking spicy foods and hard goods and then he will check the mucosa for any specific diseases.

I have been taken gutka since 4years and my jaw is not elongate as usual. And I cant open my mouth as usual I do. Please give a suggestion to qure it. Thank Q.

MDS, Cert. Laser Dentistry, BDS
Dentist,
Kindly stop gutka. Visit your dentist soon; preferably an oral pathologist or oral medicine specialist. By your symptom and history it may be an early submucous fibrosis, a condition in which there is reduction in mouth opening when person is habitual to gutka or supari chewing.
