Ever increasing temperature during summers make it very essential to be hydrated with lots of fluids taken in a frequent interval. Proper hydration not only helps general health, it also helps the oral health by maintaining right moisture in the mouth. Natural juices like tender coconut, buttermilk, lassi etc make good choices while carbonated drinks should be avoided.

In present life style, it has become a part and parcel, as we use, for example, tooth paste. But what is the alternative? That suggestion is not given. It will be highly appreciated, if right suggestion to alternative use of plastic bottles is well explained. D. Banerjee Pune (Maharashtra) Email: dlpbanerjee1950@gmail. Com.

You dont require surgery. You have to go for orthodontic (wire & braces) treatment. Visit to a dentist for detail.

I am told that I am having leukoplakia under the right hand side of my tongue and for the last 2 years 6 months and ulcer is observed near the white patch which has increased a little. I am a smoker. So I like to know that is it cancer and will it be cured automatically if I can quit smoking?

MDS, BDS
Dentist
Ask Free Question
A biopsy report is required to confirm the diagnosis. Leukoplakia is a precancerous condition. It won't be cured just by quitting. You will require medication to treat it. And surgery to remove it. It's better to quit smoking as it has a direct effect on the healing. You continue with smoking you will get cancer or your present case will worsen.
