I am 30 years old. 8 years ago I was disorganized with CRVO disorder. Due to small town and non availability of good doctors, I was told to leave the condition as it is and keep a check over the swelling occurred due to it. After 3 years I consult some other doctor in Pune where he told me I have swelling in my right eye as well. He prescribed few medicines but after few years my right eye vision became blur. I consulted few other doctors in Jaipur who prescribed steroid (prednisolone) to control the inner inflammation. Using steroid was a temporary solution but it helped developing cataract in my right eye. Now doctor says my left eye actual had CRAO instead of CRVO and it cannot be cured and as far as my right eye is concerned it has chronic uveitis along with cataract. Doctor has again prescribed steroid to settle uveitis post which a cataract surgery will be performed. Doctors are not giving a specific time for the surgery and I am facing challenges to perform my day to day activities. Can somebody please review and help me.

Vessel occlusion- CRVO or CRAO can be secondary to inflammation like uveitis. In cases of Uveitis immunosuppresants- steroids or steroid sparing ones are given to suppress the inflammation. The dosage n duration depends upon disease activity. Sometimes a maintenance dose is required for years. Also, you should have undergone a series of blood and radiological investigations to try and detect any systemic disease. Uveitis is an inflammation of eye frequently but not always associated with disease involving multiple organs of the body. One of the prerequisites for operating an eye with history of uveitis is to ensure no episode of active inflammation predlferably for 6 months or at least 3 months. And to operate under steroids cover. This is important as any intravascular surgery induces inflammation 8n the eye and in patients with history of uveitis it can be sight threatening. By what you have described. Your treatment seems to be online. Please contact if you need further clarifications.

get eye sight test done and use glasses according to the number, Apple is a miracle fruit for the skin. The alpha hydroxy acids or AHA’s present in apples improves skin color and elasticity of the skin.Soak peeled apple slices in milk for 20 minutes and then blend to form a creamy paste.Place in the freezer for 10 minutes, and then mix a tsp of lemon juice, apply all over your face and neck.Rinse off after 15 minutes with cool water and massage an ice cube. The skin looks baby soft, smooth with a rosy white glow.Follow this for a week to get fair skin naturally. or All the natural ingredients (Tretinoin, Hydroquinone and Cortisone) inlcuded in Melamet have only one goal: to improve your skin tone. Tretinoin helps prevent and treat acne and wrinkles by peeling off dead skin cells. Hydroquinone is the skin lightener agent in this equation that improves the overall tone of your skin. Cortisone is an anti-allergy ingredient that reduces inflammation and/or itching.' How to Use: Use the Melamet Cream just before bedtime. Wash it off in the morning, and apply some sunscreen if you intend to go outdoors. Failure to do so will cause significant damage and even result in your skin turning black.

Glaucoma prevention not help full any idea to fix this. When I can stop drops? How can I get relief? Please suggest something.

MS - Ophthalmology, FICO, FRCS - I & II
Ophthalmologist, Mathura
Dear patient yes to prevent glaucoma is very difficult but what is required is regular checkup of vision and eye pressure (intra ocular pressure) by eye specialist after the age of 40 years specially if you have family history of glaucoma. If glaucoma is diagnosed early and treatment started loss of vision is reversible and vision is stabilized. How to fix glaucoma depends on type of glaucoma. Silent or painless glaucoma also known as chronic simple glaucoma, painful glaucoma (acute congestive glaucoma. In first type patient does not know till late as no pain so diagnosis is delayed. But in acute type it is diagnosed early so vision is restored fast. Many tests are required to confirm the diagnosis of glaucoma and type of glaucoma like eye pressure measurement, automated visual field analysis, fundus exam specially optic disc, corneal thickness, retinal nerve fiber thickness around optic disc and gonioscopy. Once glaucoma is diagnosed use of anti glaucoma eye drops are life long under supervision usually causing lot of financial burden on patient that, s why glaucoma surgery is done bit early to reduce medications but this is case specific. You will get relief by properly following doctor, s advise. Normally first medical treatment is started. Many anti glaucoma eye drops and tablets (diamox) are there, best decided by eye specialist. If eye pressure is controlled by medications usually medications are life long but in very select cases surgery is done to control eye pressure. One of common side effect of long use of anti glaucoma eye drops is dry eye which also need to be tackled with eye soothing eye drops like refresh tears. Hope this answers your query about glaucoma.
