My baby is doing green mucous poop since she had her 10 week vaccination. Is it normal?

My baby is doing green mucous poop since she had her 10 week vaccination. Is it normal?
The Vaccination does not have any kind of relation with colour of stool. If the frequency of stools has increased then colour can become greenish. You can do Stool routine and microscopy test. If it shows any kind of abnormality then you need to meet your Paediatrician.

My 16 days old baby experiencing stomach upset, frequent episode of potty and vomiting. Please help.

My 16 days old baby experiencing stomach upset, frequent episode of potty and vomiting. Please help.
Newborns pass potty 12-15 times per day and that is absolutely normal for them. Taking out some milk (5-8 ml) after each feed, is also considered normal. Other normal things for babies are sneezing and hiccups almost 20 times per day. Sleeping for 22 hours a day and more awake time during night time. Whenever doubt comes in your mind make a note on mobile or on paper and when you visit your paediatrician, clear all of them.

3 year old child can not make stool that hard which can make her bleed. Blood in stool at this age is most commonly due to infection, which is called as Bacillary dysentery. Not necessarily she should pass more number of loose stools. In this case she will need antibiotics. If due to chronic constipation she has developed anal fissure then she will have fresh blood (streaks) encoating the hard stool. In this case she will need laxatives and the duration will be 2 months or more to avoid recurring the problem in future. Meet your paediatrician and clear all doubts.

My 4 year old daughter is suffering from eczema .Now for her we are using cetaphil lotion, momerex ointment and cetrizine syrup. But not seeing much change. Now it's her growing age so can we avoid dairy products and all. Its all needed for her growth. Can you suggest any medicine for better helath?

Eczema worsens during drier season like winter which is why you are not seeing any betterment in it. Good thing is that, it is not worsening despite such a cold temperatures nowadays. It shows, the ongoing treatment is right and adequate and no extra medicines are needed. You can stop all dairy products. After 6 month of age, growth does not depend on milk and milk products. Make her ear fruits, vegetables and food cooked at home. There is no magic medicine which can bring 100% disease free health. Good diet and sleep is the key. Don't fall for 100s of health tonics or vitamin supplements available in market.

If Inj. Survanta was given, it means your baby was born prematurely. Premature babies can not produce a special substance called as 'Surfactant' in their lungs which is necessary for oxygen from air to reach blood. You can call it as life saving injection for premature. It does not cause side effects beyond 48 hours of administration hence I feel you should forget about it and relax yourself. Lips becoming bluish or blackish in colour when baby cries is not considered normal. There are various reasons. If I type few of them over here then your anxiety will increase and that will result in decreased breast milk output. Meet your paediatrician as soon as possible. Stay calm and relaxed. Have proper sleep and do not indulge in house work for at least 3 months. Drink lots of fluids and milk. Your premature baby has gone home within 8 days of NICU stay is really a big achievement. You should be thankful to the God, treating doctors and nature. My opinion is to consult your Neonatologist earlier regarding the above issue.

My daughter is 8 months old. Dr. Suggested to give her asthakind 2.5 ml twice a day. Is it safe?

My daughter is 8 months old. Dr. Suggested to give her asthakind 2.5 ml twice a day. Is it safe?
Asthakind syrup is given for chest congestion or childhood asthma. It can cause Irritability, crying and shaky hands. The dose would be thrice daily and not twice daily. There are better and effective alternatives like Syp. Asthalin or Syp. Ventorlin with better safety. Meet your paediatrician to clear doubts.

Fever for 2 days after vaccination is normal. The pain happens at injection site for 2 days and baby cries. You need to give Crocin or Calpol drops every 6 hourly for 2 days to keep baby comfortable and fever free. Neopeptine drops are safe to give but they don't have any visual benefits on digestion.

Yes you can use it. It is safe to use on face. There are alternatives like Nivea body soft cream or Atogla lotion. Use it twice daily - after bath and before going to bed.

Neopeptine drops do not change colour of stool. There are various causes for reddish discoloration of stool, most of which are not serious. Do Stool routine laboratory test to make sure there is no blood in it. Meet your Paediatrician for baby examination and further management.

My baby is 5 month old. She is on formula milk. She won't put her feet down to stand. What is the reason?

My baby is 5 month old. She is on formula milk. She won't put her feet down to stand. What is the reason?
5 month old baby neither sits nor stands. When you hold her up to. Make her stand, she will flex her legs and draw it up to avoid touching it to ground. The brain connections are yet to develop. There is no relation between formula feeding and development. Don't compare your baby and it's development with others as each baby is unique and if you keep comparing then it might increase your anxiety than helping it in any way.
