failure of family planning operation is 2%. it looks like her case is of failure if you mean baby and operation as family planning only and not baby delivered by operation. every woman who had had family planning operation is advised to get back to doctor if she skips by few days. it's not fault of doctors or patients but nature has its own wonders.

Hello doctor I'm 24 years old. Under fertility treatment I took hcg 5000 injection on 25 th October. (i.e 15th day of my period) when will check my pregnancy using HPT? When will the test give reliable result?

Hello doctor I'm 24 years old. Under fertility treatment I took hcg 5000 injection on 25 th October. (i.e 15th day of...
It works by causing the testes to release male sex hormones (e.g. Testosterone). This medication is also used in women to treat fertility problems. It is given after finishing another medication (menotropins) to cause the release of an egg (ovulation). Use HCG exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use it in larger amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow the directions on your prescription label. Trace amounts of hCG can remain the body for as many as fourteen days after hCG injections. HCG is the “pregnancy hormone”, or the hormone that is produced in the body when a woman is pregnant. HCG begins to be produced right after the fertilized egg begins to implant in the uterus. HCG is released by the placenta. Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone produced by the placenta, but it is also made in a laboratory and given as an injection to help with certain fertility problem. A urine pregnancy test (HPT) tries to detect if the urine has hCG or not. If you have been given an hCG injection (Profasi, Pregnyl) to trigger ovulation or to lengthen the luteal phase of your cycle, trace hCG amounts can remain in your system as long as 10-14 (sometimes even more) days after your last injection. These hcg hormones from the injection can give you what's called a "false positive pregnancy test" a pregnancy test that is positive without actually being pregnant. If you use a home pregnancy test after an hCG injection, it is advisable to wait 20 days before interpreting the test as positive or negative. The best way to detect a pregnancy after an hCG injection or shot is the hCG beta blood test. The blood test is much more sensitive than an urine pregnancy test. The blood hCG test can detect a pregnancy as early as 10 days after fertilization with one caveat. You need two tests several days apart. If you are not pregnant, then the blood hCG numbers will be zero or they will decrease. If you are pregnant then they will rise. As a general rule, in a normal pregnancy hCG beta numbers should go up by at least 60% in 2 days. If your blood hCG levels increase by at least 60% on the second day, then you are likely pregnant.

Uterine Prolapse - Things That Put You At Risk!

MBBS, DGO
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Uterine Prolapse - Things That Put You At Risk!

The uterus or womb is a strong structure that is held up by the pelvic muscles and tendons. In case that these muscles or tendons extend or get distinctly powerless, they are no longer ready to support the uterus, bringing about prolapse. Uterine prolapse happens when the uterus hangs or slips from its ordinary position, into the vagina or birth channel.

Uterine prolapse might be fragmented or complex. A deficient prolapse happens when the uterus is just halfway drooping into the vagina. An entire prolapse depicts a circumstance in which the uterus falls so far down that some tissue rests outside of the vagina.

The danger of having a prolapsed uterus increases as a woman ages and her estrogen levels diminish. Estrogen is the hormone that keeps the pelvic muscles solid. Harm to pelvic muscles and tissues during pregnancy and labor may likewise lead to prolapse. Women with more than one vaginal birth and in their postmenopausal period are under the most significant risk. Any action that puts weight on the pelvic muscles can expand your danger of a uterine prolapse. Different variables that can increase your risk for the condition include:

  1. Obesity
  2. Constant coughing
  3. Constipation

Women who have a minor uterine prolapse might not have any side effects. Direct to serious prolapse may bring about side effects, for example:

  1. Having an inclination that you are sitting on a ball
  2. Vaginal bleeding
  3. Expanded discharge
  4. Issues with sex
  5. Feeling the uterus or cervix leaving the vagina
  6. A pulling or substantial feeling in the pelvis
  7. Constipation
  8. Bladder infections

In case that you experience these symptoms, it is important to see your specialist. Without appropriate diagnosis, the condition can weaken your vagina, bladder, and sexual capacity. Treatment is not generally fundamental for this condition. In case that prolapse is serious, talk with a specialist about which treatment choice is suitable for you. Nonsurgical medicines include:

  1. Shedding pounds to take the strain off of pelvic structures
  2. Maintaining a strategic distance from truly difficult work
  3. Doing Kegel works out, which are pelvic floor exercises that strengthen the vaginal muscles
  4. Taking estrogen substitution treatment
  5. Wearing a pessary, which is a device embedded into the vagina that fits under the cervix and pushes up and settles the uterus and cervix

Surgical medications include uterine suspension or hysterectomy. During uterine suspension, your specialist puts the uterus once again into its normal position by reattaching pelvic tendons or utilizing surgical materials. During a hysterectomy, your specialist expels the uterus from the body through the stomach area or the vagina. Surgery is usually successful; however, it is not suggested for women who anticipate having a baby later on.

Period 5-6 din late hone se koi problem nahi hai, ovacet ke karan bhi period late ho sakta hai, agar apne koi test nahi kiya hai to dawa khane se pahle test karna chahiye.

Myth - Breast feeding spoils the Mother's figure

MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Agra
Not at all! Breasts sag from obesity and lax muscle tone - not because of nursing a baby. To the contrary, the baby's sucking leads to the uterus contracting, which helps restore the belly to its normal position quite quickly. What you really need is a well fitting bra to give you support, with nursing flaps to allow your baby easy access to your breasts.

Hiccups

bachelor of science, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Hiccups
Only 2 remedies have I ever know to actually work. The first listed makes the most sense, since a hiccups is simply a spasm of the diaphragm, and you need to disrupt this spasm. The second offers no rhyme or reason, but works nonetheless.
Breath in as deeply as you can, then exhale as hard as you can; repeat 10 times; when exhaling the last time, keep the air pushed out, not taking another breath for as long as you can stand. This normally works the first try, but repeat if necessary. Be sure to sit down when doing this.
This is a remedy only feasible when sitting at a bar. Have the bartender fill a small glass with club soda. Light a match and drop it, then drink the water quickly (being careful not to drink the match). It works, but I don't know why!
Drink 1/2 glass water, slowly.
Keep a tsp. Of sugar in your month and suck slowly.
Suck 2-3 small pieces of fresh ginger.

Hi Doctors, Actually my friend has been married since last two months. Even after daily sex his wife is not getting pregnant. What might be the reason? He says that his penis size is small about 3.5 inches after erection is this the reason? Even he says that his wife didn't bleed on the first night. So is he not performing sex correctly because of his small penis.

Dear friend, three inches of penis size is more than sufficient for the conception. Bleeding or not bleeding has no bearing on pregnancy or right or wrong method of intercourse. The couple should try for conception on days 10-18 from the start of the menstrual cycle or periods of the female. They are most fertile period. In case the pregnancy still doesn't happen after trying on these days for some months, they should consult a gynecologist and get the necessary tests done.

Dear user. You heard it right. One week prior and one week after the first day of period, having sex is safe and cannot cause pregnancy. There are other methods like withdrawal, copper t, female condoms etc. Choose the right one and take the right decision. Take care.
