There are several causes of backache. Most commonly (due long driving, abnormal sitting posture, lying on soft mattresses, previous injury of lower back) people suffer from lumber spondylosis. Other causes due to renal stone, enlarged prostrate gland etc so there can be any cause & you are already 45 years of age. You should go for usg lower abdomen &mri lumboscral region. Rx lycopodium 1m/2 dose at 1/2 an hour interval only once. Berberis vulgaris q/bd 15-15 drops+1/2 cup water. Bryonia 200/ bd 4-4 pill for 21 days.

This I bit awkward. I had suffered an accident when my head (neck) got too much turned and I heard a cracking sound. Although it did not cause any pain it made me believe I have broken a bone or two. I have consulted with a psychiatrist but he found no problem in me then. It's been 8 years since then but that thought still sometimes gives me trouble. I have learnt to live with it. But I would rather want a better solution to cope with it. please tell me how do I deal with it and how do I stop to bother?

Hi I will prescribe some harmless but effective flower remedy available in homoeopathy shops. Try to buy original medicines. Mix 3 drops of mimulus + 3 drops of white chestnut. Mix these with 100 ml water and drink it every morning and night.(same dose) on empty stomach.

As per your concern you need to do following remedy 1. Soak 10-15 raisins overnight in water 2. Eat them on an empty stomach next morning 3. Follow this with 1 glass of water 4. Our suggestion would be to do hot water fermentation along with Cold(ice) therapy. Pain in the ankle is due to constant pressue which falls during standing and walking activities, as ankle is such a stong joint and it generaly leads to ankle dislocation in majority of the cases. After applying Ice, ankle brace to restrict the joint movement thereby it will make you to feel comfortable and also it will enhace quik healing. To divert the weight fallling on the injured ankle you can improve the blood circulation to the particular injured area by doing hot water fermentation and I also suggest you to wear MCR chappals to divert the weight falling on the painful ankle.

Hello apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation .take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. Avoid fermented food. Junk food.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Do contrast bath therapy- take hot water in one bowl & cold water in another bowl. First dip your fingers in hot water for 3 min then immediately in cold water for 1 min, keep repeating for 20-25 min twice a day.

Dear lybrate user, my advise would be to consult a specialist either ortho/pain specialist for diagnosis, as low back pain can arise from disc, facet joints, sacroiliac joints, piriformis muscles, ql muscles etc. It is important to find out the source of problem and treat it rather than taking pain killer or doing physiotherapy without knowing the problem. Hope it will guide and help you understand your problem and you take steps accordingly. Thanks.

Hello according to your condition you have to take hot water fermentation through towel and do it 3 times in a day duration-15 min along with stretching and back exercises like straingh leg raising, bridging with -20 min repetition -5 sec hold do it for 3 days sure you will get well soon take care.

Gentle massage over the affected part with lukewarm herbal pain relieving oil for 20 minutes followed by hot fomentation. It will relax the muscles and the veins of your affected part improving the blood supply to the organ and giving strength to it. Please avoid over-use of the part affected i. E. Lifting weight - pushing or pulling heavy objects. Give proper rest to the part - let it heal with the time.

For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Take maha yograj guggul 1-1 after lunch and dinner. Avoid fermented food. Spicy food. Junk food. Eat green vegetables. Fuits. Drink minimum 7-8 glass of water everyday. Sleep for 7 hrs minimum. Do pranayama early morning. And do exercises.

The repetitive action of bowling is the biggest cause of low back pain in cricket, but bending to field the ball and standing in the field for prolonged periods also put stress on the back which can cause back pain. Bowling practice should be carefully monitored to ensure the lower back is not being overloaded. Core stability exercises are important to prevent back problems in cricket players and shock absorbing insoles can help to reduce stress on the back. A soothing heat pack can reduce back pain and back muscle spasm. If you are experiencing severe low back pain following cricket, particularly when bending backwards, please see a orthopedic doctor to diagnose stress fracture. Once diagnosed, stress fractures of the lower back usually require 6 weeks of rest to allow the bone to heal. During this period, an exercise programme under the supervision of a physiotherapist can be started. Best wishes.
