There can be indigestion, heartburn, impatience, swellings, more frequent urination, leg cramps anmd backache during these months------------ Inorder to keep yourself fir and free from these above problems follow below give steps---------- 1. Sweep and broom your room.------------ 2. Try to broom if sweeping is not possible with your baby bump. It gives enough relaxation to your back, spinal muscles and bones. Your baby inside would have a ‘in a jhoola’ effect when you broom.------------- 3.• Eat a well balanced diet consisting of oats, brown rice, rotis, green leafy vegetables, milk, fish, meat, eggs etc. -------------- 4.• Get plenty of rest. And sleep for 1-2 hrs every noon!------------ 5.• Have oily fish in your diet. Have it in a curry rather than fried.-------------------- It is beneficial for the brain and nerve development in late pregnancy and for your baby’s birth weight. Take fish curry every alternate day for lunch------------------- 6.• Take the supplements prescribed by your doctor.------------- 7• Try to use the Indian toilet as gives you a squat position, beneficial for you at the time of delivery------------- 8• Be stress free. I know it’s not an acceptable term for you in your last months with all that curiosity, tension and impatience, but you can get a relaxing massage from your partner----------- 9• Pray well everyday for a few minutes or an hour. I would suggest you use lignocaine instillagel- 1% to be applied in vaginal half an hour before sex to see if things get a bit easier. If not consult a gynaecologist in person for further examination and advice.

Hi lybrate-user back pain and vomiting are common during first 3-4 months of pregnancy. However, you can take medicines that are safe in pregnancy after consulting gynaec. Appendix operation and pregnancy in your case are most likely unrelated.

Dear lybrate-user, When Your Wife will missed periods, kindly have pregnancy test done. Common Pregnancy Symptoms are 1. Missed period 2. Swollen breasts 3. Nausea with or without vomiting 4. Increased urination 5. Fatigue.

Yes surely, now, this stomach pain & a set of 150 symptoms are described during periods. But to indian women it is told by mother, that this is normal, but this is clnical condition called as dysmenorrhea. A lot of products happen to cure the same. Please take advice of a nearby consultant. Now stomach ache can be cured by wonderful ayurvedic product called as himcospas tablet by himalaya. Take 2 tablets immediately when you have stomachache. Take care.

PCOS IS NOT A DISEASE BUT A CHANGE IN TEH BODY. UNLESS YOU ARE MARRIED YOU DONT NEED ACTIVE TREATMENT. BECAUSE EVEN IF YOU TAKE TABLETS NOW THE PERIODS WOULD BE REGULAR TILL YOU ARE ON THE TABS. Hello, It's good to reduce weight at right time as many problems are directly related to overweight! Read the following guidelines and implement them in your routine: Management: 1: Drink plenty of water (at least 2-3 l/d) or other calorie-free beverages. 2: Be choosy about nighttime snacks. 3: Enjoy your favorite foods. 4: Have 6 meals per day - 3 main courses and 3 snack meals (snack meals should be healthy). 5: Do regular exercises daily (start with light and later may be little vigorous) . Exercise decreases the stress hormone in your body, burns calories and also increases the blood circulation. 6: Eat seasonal fruits. Fruit helps to satisfy your sweet tooth thanks to its natural sugars, while fresh vegetables help you fill up more quickly. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber to help you feel full quickly. 7: Eat more whole grains and cut simple carbs. Whole wheat bread, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta, sweet potato, and brown rice are all excellent sources of energy and sources of nutrition. 8: Choose lean proteins instead of fatty ones. 9: Cut the salt from your diet. Eating more sodium causes your body to retain water, which can cause you to feel bloated and gain more weight. 10: Don't skip meals.When you skip meals, your body stops breaking down fat and starts breaking down muscle tissue. Muscle tissue burns more calories at rest than other tissues, so you're actually working against your goals 11: Eat at home. Going out to eat makes it too easy to cheat. Food sold at restaurants is commonly much higher in fat, sodium, and other weight-loss killers. 12: Give yourself a treat now and then. If you're attending a party or going out for a special occasion, allow yourself an indulgence. Just make sure that these indulgences don't become daily habits. Medication for obesity & irregular menses: Start taking Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before the meals for 1 month, Calcarea Carb. 1M/ one dose once daily and Pulsatilla 1M/ one dose once a week - take for 1month. Everything You Wanted To Know About Calories

Calories – A word you often come across when watching your weight. Counting calories is a healthy habit and quite the fashionable trend. Just knowing the word or counting calories will not help though. Here is some more information on how calories work. This will bring you a step closer to your health goal.

Calories - What are they?

Every living being requires energy to survive. Almost everything we eat, except water, provides us with calories. Every food contains some macro and micro nutrients, which, apart from providing calories, have an important role to play in our metabolism.

1 gm of carbohydrate = 4 calories
1 gm of fat = 9 calories
1 gm of protein = 4 calories

In terms of micro nutrients, vitamins, minerals, fiber and some plant chemicals do not supply calories.
 
Calories – How many do you need?

Calorie requirement of every individual is decided based on factors like height, age, weight, sex, the daily activity level and your body composition. The recommended average daily calorie intake is of 1940 calories for women and 2550 for men. Larger people with more muscle, need more calories. Calculate your basic calorie requirement.

Calories and weight loss?

For weight loss, it is essential to consume lesser calories and burn excess ones that are stored in the body as fat.

A] Consuming lesser calories – This can be done by keeping a track of calories you consume throughout the day. Simply substitute high calorie food (fried, otherwise fatty, sugar-laden food) with fiber-rich, low-calorie food (whole grain cereals, veggies, fruits, green leafy vegetables). High fiber food also helps you in cutting down on the quantity intake, leading to further calorie reduction. Subtracting 500 calories every day will lead to 500 gm weight loss per week. You may be interested in a sample 1200 calories indian diet plan for weight loss.

B] Burning excess calories – Increase your physical activity level by changing your lifestyle. Take up an exercise that suits your body and age. Exercise like jogging, running, walking, swimming, gymming and cycling will help in losing those extra calories.

What if I go on an extremely low calorie diet for speedy weight loss?

A very low calorie diet is the gateway to ill-health. It may give you great results in the beginning but, it ultimately leads to muscle loss, fat storage and a slower metabolism. In extreme cases it may also lead to gall stones and cardiac problems. Consuming a minimum of 1100 – 1200 calorie diet every day is the recommendation by medical authorities.

If you are already consuming only a 1200 calorie diet, do not reduce your calorie intake any further. Instead, try to burn around 300 calories through exercise or any sport. Get active by taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Walk from office to your home.

Is the source of the calorie important?

Well, a calorie is a calorie is a calorie, but the calories derived from protein and carbohydrates are considered to be healthier, as a more complex process is required in processing these calories which in turn increase your bmr.

These macro nutrients also have some very important roles to play in the body mechanism.

Fat provides more calories in comparison to carbs and protein. It is processed in a simple way, making your system sluggish. The excess calories are easily converted to fat and this results in weight gain. [you may be interested in reading our article butter vs margarine].

Calories remains a common factor of consideration in case of weight loss, weight gain and weight maintenance. It is all about how you apply the mechanics of calories.

Your report says your baby is ok and your date for delivery is 6-9-16 which can be plus or minus a few days but actually speaking these are the calculated dates from your periods in fact actual date of delivery nobody can predict.

Hi. I am 23 years old. I look very lean. And flat chest. I am getting married soon but I don't have that personality to carry sarees and bridal elegance. I think it might be problematic with my husband's satisfaction level too. And I have been recently affected by urine infection I.e ecoli bacteria. Took antibiotics and consulted doctor and again m feeling burning sensation now. Could you please help me with nutrition I should take to grow fat and breast size improvement or are their any surgeries I can cope up with? Also help me with this ecoli infection. I almost took 10 antibiotic injections into nerves few months back now again it came. I drink lots of water.

I think you should avoid unnecessary medications specially antibiotics. U should follow ayurvedic treatment bcoz I think you are resistant to most of allopathic medication or they are not helping you. Avoid spicy oily and junk food. Have protein and fat rich diet. Drink plenty of liquids daily to avoid urine infection. For treatment plan you may consult privately. It would not be possible to discuss here.

Dear Lybrate user It's normal that aome of the semen comes out after sex ,but this doesn't mean that conception will not occur. There is enough semen left inside for pregnancy.Still,for better results,your partner should keep lying for atleast 15 minutes to ensure that maximum amount is retained inside

Diet in second trimester should be healthy, home made food preferably, not very spicy/ fried/oily, protein rich (pulses, daals, eggs, fish, sprouts). Include all seasonal fruits except raw papaya/ pineapple, take dry fruits like 1/2 almonds, preferably soaked, 1/2 walnuts, figs, black raisins, it gives you iron & calcium required for pregnancy. Eat small frequent meals, every 2/3 hrly which reduces discomfort/ nausea after meals.
