I have a problem of piles since 1 year pls give me information about how to cure piles without operation.

MBBS
General Physician, Hyderabad
Hi lybrate-user. First of all I need to say that there is no cure for piles without surgery in allopathy. So kindly take some precautions before that like eating fibre rich diet, drinking plenty of water, also taking lactulose syrup or syrup cremation. Those are to avoid from recurrent bleeding from piles.

Constipation-Its not a disease, it's a habit of intestines

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Constipation-Its not a disease, it's a habit of intestines
Constipation

Its not a disease, its a habit of intestines

Many people in this world suffer from chronic constipation. It's not a disease but a habit of intestine who have forgotten proper peristaltic movements which help in expelling waste material out of body.

People indiscriminately use phenolphthalein type of drugs to help easing expulsion of wastes out of body. These drugs are not good for health. These make intestines further lazy to act on its own.

Ideal remedy is long walks/ jogs/ runs/ yoga asans, deep breathing/ kapal bhati, lots of water intake, lots of fiber intake in diet and easily digestible, non spicy, non greasy foods and cow milk, buttermilk etc

These help intestines to expel wastes by regaining peristaltic movements. If intestines are forcibly evacuated by allopathic drugs or ayurvedic strong purgatives, the many ft length of intestines get evacuated. Following days are needed to fill up the length and expellable material will need to traverse full length before reaching rectum. This makes people apprehensive and impatient and they think constipation was removed but has come again today. It is ridiculous.

There are other factors too but are manageable accordingly.

Soaked dry grapes and figs are very helpful in boosting peristaltic movements and providing fibers as well as essential enzymes and minerals to gastro intestinal tract.
Well acclaimed chyavanprash which is full of fibers, minerals, vitamins and enzymes is very useful in maintaining peristalsis besides good health. It lubricates intestines too.

Tip: chronic constipation sufferers should use simple chyavanprash 4-5 tsp or more empty stomach daily. Do not take breakfast or lunch until fully hungry. Dry grapes/ anjir soaked overnight in 20-30 gms daily will also help same way when eaten every morning.

Mild laxative tarunikusumakar herbal powder (chooran) may be taken 1 tsp at night with warm water, if still needed.

Get plenty of rest, especially while you have a fever. Rest helps your body fight infection. Drink lots of fluids such as water and clear soups. Fluids help loosen mucus. Fluids are also important because they help prevent dehydration. Gargle with warm salt water a few times a day to relieve a sore throat. Throat sprays or lozenges may also help relieve the pain. Use saline (salt water) nose drops to help loosen mucus and moisten the tender skin in your nose.

Before some day's feeling lazy. I feel sleeping during day please help me out.
Thank you.
Hi, get your blood tested for cbc, hb%, s. Calcium, s. Ferritin and esr. Simple nutritional deficiency can cause general weakness of the body. Would advise you to take homoeopathic medicines - alfaalfa tonic and five phos. - both thrice daily, and let me know about your condition after a month. Management: daily intake more of healthy, nutritious and balanced food which includes green vegetables, seasonal fruits, salads, legumes, pulses, eggs, milk & milk products, oats, cornflakes, muesli, nuts, lean meat (chicken & few seafood), etc. Keep yourself well-hydrated by taking at least 10-12 glasses of water in a day, also increase intake of other fluids like coconut water, shikanji, jaljeera, gulkand, rooh-afza, lassi, curd, etc. Which has got cooling effect on the body during this hot summer weather. Sleep for 6-9 hrs at night and 1-2 hrs. During daytime. Avoid going out or playing under the sun, best time is after sunset. Wear a hat with broad brim, wear sunglasses whenever you are out in the sun. Don't awake late nights, follow motto of'early to bed, early to rise' avoid unnecessary exertion or stress.

Having cough with out fever from four months, x ray normal, blood tests normal, took many antibiotics like azitheromicine, cough syrups, xop, etc but nothing works. Please suggest what should I do. Currently I am not on any medicine as I took medicines for two months and now I fear that continue medicine taking can cause any problem, doctors says no lung problem or asthma. What should I do. How can I cure my cough. Please note that some times it is productive cough and many times dry cough. Please suggest to help me from this cough.?

PG Hom, London, BHMS
Homeopath, Mumbai
Hi , may I know if you smoke? smoking is one of the widest reason for causing cough. If not, then I would suggest that you undergo an ecg, just to be sure that it is not related to heart i. E. Cardiac cough. The chances of any abnormality in the ecg might be low, considering your age, but it is better to rule out.

Iam 19yr old I am suffering from piles I dnt recognize earlier now a days I got to know that it is very pain ful what shall I do to overcome it. Or get rid of it.

MBBS
General Physician, Faridabad
In the majority of cases, piles resolve on their own without the need for any treatment. Treatments can help significantly reduce the discomfort and itching that many patients experience Diet - piles can be caused by too much straining when doing bowel movements, which is the result of constipation. A change in diet can help keep the stools regular and soft. This involves eating more fiber, such as fruit and vegetables, or switching your cereal breakfast to bran. Water is the best drink, and the patient may be advised to increase his/her water consumption. Some experts say too much caffeine is not good. Body weight - if the patient is obese, losing weight may help reduce the incidence and severity of hemorrhoids. Simple things you can do yourself to help prevent piles: Try not to strain when you go to the toilet Avoid laxatives Exercis take tab pilex 1tab tds, anovate cream locally inside anus, siltz bath [hot water in a tub, add kmno4 in it, sit 1/2 an hr in tub, it will help.Avoid spicy , Oily food.Drink 3- 4 Litre of Water Daily. welcome for further help. or go for surgery

You will have to learn exercises focused on that particular part only and also get a general physical examination done from a physician to rule out any pathology.

This is for my husband. He is working in abroad. His problem is sweating. Mainly in hand, foot, private parts and under arms. If it is very cold he feeling sweating. Its very irritating. What type disease this? This is curable disease? Tell me any home remedy?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Heavy sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis) is a very real and embarrassing problem, but there are some effective ways to treat it. What Is Hyperhidrosis? Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is a common disorder which produces a lot of unhappiness. An estimated 2-3% of people suffer from excessive sweating of the underarms (axillary hyperhidrosis) or of the palms and soles of the feet (palmoplantar hyperhidrosis). Underarm problems tend to start in late adolescence, while palm and sole sweating often begins earlier, around the age 13 (on the average). Untreated, these problems may continue throughout life. Sweating is embarrassing, it stains clothes, ruins personal contact, and complicates business and social interactions. Severe cases can have serious practical consequences as well, making it hard for people who suffer from it to hold a pen, grip a car steering wheel, or shake hands. Causes OF Hyperhidrosis:- Although neurologic, endocrine, infectious, and other systemic diseases can sometimes cause hyperhidrosis, most cases occur in people who are otherwise healthy. Heat and emotions may trigger hyperhidrosis in some, but many who suffer from hyperhidrosis sweat nearly all their waking hours, regardless of their mood or the weather. Antiperspirants This may be the first treatment that a dermatologist recommends. It is affordable. When applied as directed, an antiperspirant can be effective. Your dermatologist may recommend a regular or clinical-strength antiperspirant. Some patients need a stronger antiperspirant and receive a prescription for one. Iontophoresis (the no-sweat machine) If excessive sweating affects your hands, feet, or both areas, this may be an option. You will use this treatment at home. It requires you to immerse your hands or feet in a shallow pan of tap water. As you do this, a medical device sends a low-voltage current through the water. Many people obtain relief. Some people dislike that this treatment can be time-consuming. Uses: Hands and feet It works by the electric current shuts down the treated sweat glands temporarily. Side effects: Some people develop: • Dry skin • Irritated skin • Discomfort during treatment Prescription medicine Some patients receive a prescription for a medicine that temporarily prevents them from sweating. These medicines work throughout the body. However we cannot prescribe in open question answer session as a rule but you can ask in consultation. These medicines prevent the sweat glands from working. Athletes, people who work in a hot place, and anyone who lives in a warm climate should use extreme caution when using this treatment. The body may not be able to cool itself. Uses: These medicines can effectively treat sweating that involves entire body. This medicine also can be an effective treatment for post-menopausal women who sweat excessively only from their head. Side effects: The medicines that prevent the sweat glands from working can cause: • Dry mouth • Dry eyes • Blurry vision • Heart palpations (abnormal heartbeat) Surgery If other treatments fail to bring relief, surgery may be considered. Surgery is permanent and carries risks. The following surgeries can stop excessive sweating: • Surgically remove sweat glands • Sympathectomy A dermatologist can surgically remove sweat glands from the underarms. This surgery can be performed in a dermatologist’s office. Only the area to be treated is numbed, so the patient remains awake during the surgery. A dermatologist may use one or more of the following surgical techniques to remove sweat glands from the underarms: • Excision (cut out sweat glands) • Liposuction (remove with suction) • Curettage (scrape out) • Laser surgery (vaporize) Sympathectomy is another surgery used to treat hyperhidrosis. This is major surgery, which a surgeon performs in an operating room. During sympathectomy, the surgeon tries to stop the nerve signals that your body sends to the sweat glands. To do this, the surgeon will cut or destroy certain nerves. To find these nerves, the surgeon inserts a mini surgical camera into the patient’s chest just beneath the underarm. The patient’s lung must be temporarily collapsed so that the surgeon can cut or destroy nerves. Uses: • Surgical removal of sweat glands is used to treat the underarms • Sympathectomy is mainly used to treat the palms
