(A) Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. (B) Use no pillow under the head. (C) Kindly take BioD3 Max 1 tab dailyx10 Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x5days (D) Do back(spine)/shoulder/knee exercises (E)Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take (F) Do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. (G) If no relief in 4_5 days,then contact me again.

Would you please explain what an autoimmune disease is? I have been told this is the cause of my arthritis.

Auto-immune means diseases in which your immune system which usually protects you, gets automatically activated and starts damaging your own organs. Hello Lybrate user,  Back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms. The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced Stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid Cruntches or Sit-ups: they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to Slip Disc. Always maintain a healthy Lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking, meditation, eating healthy. P. S: Try to avoid pain killers (Analgesics) as much as possible as many are associated with Side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay Healthy. Stay Happy God bless you.

Before advent of MRI & ARTHROSCOPIC SURGERY these patients were treated with medicines Plaster cast & physiotherapy with almost equally good results.

Take some hot fermentation on your back, for 5 to 10 mins. take proper back support. So u have to do this for 1 weak. If the problem persists, then u have to see a physiotherapist. Thank you.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana? lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Dear Mr. Lybrate-user, do following:- 1. Geriforte syrup (himalaya) - 2 teaspoonfuls three times a day after food. 2. Brento tablet (zandu) - 2 tablets twice daily after food. 3. Ashwagandha capsule (himalaya) - 1 capsule twice daily after food. Take 8 hours sound sleep daily. Do bhrahmari pranayam. You can also go for ayurveda body massage and steam, which will relax and strengthens you body.

My father had undergone hip replacement operation. In last 20 days after the operation it has got dislocated twice. This time the dr. Has replaced the steel implant with the cement one just to take a chance. Dr is senior and experienced what can be the problem. Patent is 82 yrs old

Hamstring Stretch Lie on your back with your left leg flat on the floor. Loop a towel or rope around your right foot and pull your leg as far as comfortable toward your chest, while keeping a slight bend at the knee. Keep your back pressed to the floor throughout the stretch. Hold for 10 to 30 seconds and then release. Repeat 3 or 4 times with each leg. Do this stretch 5 or 6 times a week. Short-Arc Knee Extensions In the same starting position as the straight-leg raises, put a ball (about the size of a basketball) under your left knee so that your leg is bent. Slowly straighten your leg. Hold, then slowly lower. Repeat with your right leg. Exercises To Avoid A few of the following exercises can be done safely if you have chronic knee problems; they're on this list because they're more likely to be done improperly. The exercises above are safer, while still giving you similar results. •Full-arc knee extensions •Lunges •Deep squats •Hurdler's stretches.

Hello all. I have severe pain in my right ankle and calf muscles, to be precise the muscle right above the ankle and the muscle to right under the knee. My arches of both legs are collapsed a bit. The right leg has more collapsed arch. Even a little pain in knee, hip and back. A cracking sound of bones is usually heard from my feet and knee, even in right hip at times. Sudden pain in some nerve in my back. From past four days I couldn't walk or sleep properly. As I started to put little force on right leg and walk has made my other leg to experience the same kind of pain. I even had bunions. Is this a kind of flatfeet or overpronation. Or is this a neurological problem. Can it be cured?

Yes it can be a flat feet. That's why you. Are getting multiple joints pain of your lower leg. As you said arch is completely collapsed so weight bearing of the body is disturbed. You can get your EMG NCV done to see which all muscles are weak and then take a good Neuro opinion and do regular. Supervised ex's for your lower limb muscle. Nowadays you get custom made shoes with arches or you can get it done with prosthesis. People which will support your muscles as well as help in proper weight distribution. All the. Best.

Dear lybrate-user ,Your problem is due to varicose veins, so always avoid long standing or walking, Wear leg stockings, do massage with Lakshadi tail, use tab. Rhumatil 2-2-2 + Rasanadi gugule 2-2-2 ,Three times a day with lukewarm water. You will get relief.
