The beating of heart is decided by the S A Node which itself is controlled by nerves and hormones from the brain. At times due to imbalance in sympathetic and its opposite para sympathetic tones the heart may beat at higher or lower rates. There need not be something abnormal if this is an isolated occurrence, but if this is repeated often then proper investigations are advised.

Cholesterol level should be measured at least once every five years in everyone over age 20. The screening test that is usually performed is a blood test called a lipid profile. Experts recommend that men ages 35 and older and women ages 45 and older be more frequently screened for lipid disorders. The lipoprotein profile includes: Total cholesetrol LDL (low-density lipoprotein CHOLESETROL also called "bad"CHOLESTETROL HDL (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, also called "good" cholesterol) TRIGLYCERIDES (fats carried in the BLOOD from the food we eat. Excess calories, alcohol, or sugar in the body are converted into TRIGLYCERIDES and stored in fat cells throughout the body. High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation, yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. Dietary and other lifestyle changes can help you control and prevent high blood pressure. Eating a diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products and skimps on saturated fat and cholesterol can lower your blood pressure by up to 14 mm hg. This eating plan is known as the dietary approaches to stop hypertension (dash) diet. Get plenty of potassium, which can help prevent and control high blood pressure. Eat less saturated fat and total fat. If you're overweight, losing even 3 kgs can lower your blood pressure. Strive for at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day. I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. I will also suggest home remedies. Do reply back for private consultation for rx.

Go for 30 minutes of casual walk in the evening every day. That's all you need. You will get blood pressure and may be other diseases if you neglect your health. Check your blood sugar, thyroid also. Nowadays people in 20 get sugar.

I am 35 age but severely getting BP. Is there any suggestion ?
Hi , its not unusual for people of your age to get bp. The reasons could be either many or none at all. Sometimes, its simply essential (idiopathic) hypertension with no known cause. On the other hand, mostly, it is because of lifestyle issues and also can be attributed to stress at work. I would advise you first to consult a medicine specialist / a cardiologist at the earliest. He/ she may appropriately advise further diagnostics to understand the underlying cause, if any, and may also require referring you to other specialists including a nephrologist consultation. Simultaneously, you will have to check your dietary habits, especially cut down on salt, and other greesy/ oily & fatty foods. Ensure that you streamline your lifestyle, with adequate room for relaxation and de-stressing. See how you can streamline your occupational aspect as well to reduce stress at work. Hope this helps. You may please connect with me in private, for a discussion, should you require still. All the best. Sincerely,
