Hi My mother is suffering with varicose veins from 3 years in the left leg feet. She is 63 years old. The blood is not passing upwards and her foot is terribly swollen. We tried all medicines like ayurveda, accu pressure, siddha but no use. She is afraid of taking allopathy treatment because in allopathy they have only one solution, that is surgery. At this age she fears of surgery and more than all her body condition is too weak to go for surgery options. Now her weight is just 45 kgs only. We are pure vegetarians. The condition worsened day by day. When her foot turned blackish and completely swollen and some openings on the surface of the skin occurred. Some serum oozing out from the open of the skin. Finally we went for homeopath doctor. He prescribed lachesis 1M 1 dose. The next day half mug blackish blood came out through the opening on her foot. Then the coming out of blood stopped automatically. Then the doctor prescribed echenisia, hamamelis, r 42 and r 63 mother tinctures and dilutions thrice a day. The swelling decreased a little. And then he referred lachesis 200 one dose once a week. And then after 15 days again he referred vipera 200 1 dose just for one day. She started the medicines 2 months before and the doctor advised to take echenesia, hamamelis, r 42 and 63 regularly 3 times a day each dilution 10 drops in a little water. But now the problem is her foot again swollen worse and the wound in the opening on the foot is not healed a bit from 2 months. The wound is still opened and the flesh inside is visible. Some serum is always oozing out. She is unable to walk. Whenever she land her foot on the land it severely pains for her. More over the leg is swollen more and at present her right leg also started swelling a little. More over some swelling started under her both eyes and it turned to bluish black now. Even her eye lids also swollen. She is not able to open her eyes widely. She is loosing her weight day by day and also becoming very feeble. She is suffering a lot. It seems very horrible for me also to see her suffering at this old age. My question is, Is the medicines given by that doctor is right? If he given right medicines, then why there is no improvement? Why the wound is not healed? And why the condition of the leg is worsen and swollen more? Why the swelling started in her right leg also? Why she is loosing weight? If any other medicines should she take? If the doctor is giving right medicines then why the curing process is delaying this much? How long this treatment should be taken? I want to save her from this disease and she must spend her rest of life healthy and peacefully. Can any experienced home doctor whoever read this can help me? Kindly answer my questions on humanity basis. I will share her present photos of her legs if needed. Please help me. Thank you.

Avoid toward y lifting weight, long sitting, do neck stretching exercise and isometric exercise, do hot fermentation in travel you can you use cervical collar.

See, don't focus on" I have to forget her" Because energy goes there. More you try about forgetting; more you will remember. Instead focus on what you want to become" Happy, Fresh, Energetic isn't it. So, focus on that with great conviction. Follow some basic tips. •Accept the reality: This is the most difficult stage. Mind will not accept the reality easily but, you have to do it. Stop becoming victim. Accept the reality and stop self destruction. You don't need to prove anything to anybody. Understand this and prepare your mind set. •Now stop having self pity and make your life interesting. And surely for that you don't require your ex. You are the only one who can make it. Do following things: 1. Meet up your friends talk to them, share our feelings and enjoy their company as we used to do when we were young. You will feel free. 2. Meet parents, if possible talk to them take their blessings. It works really. Surrender yourself with all your problems and fears, happy and sad moments to them and god or any supreme power you believe in. Surrendering is the most important thing in this process. It helps in letting go the emotional blockages you have. 3. Stop contacting your ex (of course). Always remember She was past and past is passed. Remove her number also from the personal diary and mind. Stop stalking him/her. 4. Have a faith that, you can do it. Do your sadhana (the worship and work) daily. This helps in increasing confidence in yourself. Make a commitment to yourself with a conviction about your sadhana. 5. Hit Gym and get physically fit. See, mind is subtle part of body. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

In that case my advice for you will be to get few investigations done and send the reports across to me: cbc, esr, crp, serum electrolytes, serum vitamin d levels and thyroid profile. Also you will have to elaborate your problem as to a detailed discussion of your back pain which means duration of pain and mode of onset. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any leg pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias (electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Please also tell me about any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss etc. What medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Back pain after prolonged sitting in your situation can be most likely due to muscle strain. You should follow good posture during work. 1. Sit with straight back and change posture in between. 2. Take breaks in between work and walk. 3. Do back strengthening and stretching exercises daily. 4. Take simple painkillers like paracetamol if pain is persistent. 5. Hello. I am a 33 year old male living in Denmark since 10 years. I am originally from India. Recently on my trip to India, I was sleeping on hard mattresses, as is the case usually with beds in India. And for some reason it has probably not gone very well with my back. In Denmark we sleep on very soft mattresses. And my back has usually been pretty good and have had no complaints around it. Even though I have knee problem due to my history in sports. But this time around, the pain has been very consistent. The problem is that when I sit on my bed, in a fairly nice posture, with back straight, and leaning back on a pillow or something, my middle back starts feeling sore and irritates me, and then I have to sit with out any support for a while to relieve the tension. Even when bending sometimes, I can feel the tightness in lower and middle back, can feel its sore. It's been a month and now I am back in Denmark since a week, but still don't see any changes. In general what do you think is the problem and could it be linked to the mattresses? On a side note, an MRI of my lower spine was normal, with a slight slight disc bulge, without any significant nerve compression, according to the radiologist. So I am assuming the structure and things are good, but maybe it's just a passing thing. But still need to do something so it does not get worse, and hopefully to get it back to normal sooner. Kindly suggest. Thank you

hi, You have a slight disc bulge, but you did not mention the exact area. Depending on your history given i can suggest you complete body rest in proper position whenever pain starts. Don't carry heavy objects. Use hip bandage during prolonged sitting and travelling. Make sure to get proper bowel evacuation. You can manage the discomfort and further increase of the condition through traditional ayurveda therapy along with some internal medication. I can suggest you accordingly if you revert back in private consultation.

If the surgery was done in time and clot removed. Chances of damage to the leg muscles and tissues will be minimal. Physiotherapy will be required. Recovery will be good.

Dear do bhujangasana, sarvangasana, shalabhasana, dhanurasana and natrajasana daily 5 min each pose properly in morning and evening. Also follow the tips they will help to relieve the pain.:: 1.Warm mustard oil or sesame oil (1 teaspoon) with 3-4 cloves of crushed garlic and 1 tsp of ajwain (carom) seeds until it roasts to a reddish brown colour. Ensure that it does not get burned. Massage this oil on your affected areas. After that do hot fomentation with salt potli (bag). 2.Take 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. 3.Increase the consumption of vitamin C in diet. 4.Take fresh Ginger into pieces, place in the cup of water and boil it for 30 minutes in low flame. Cool for 30 minutes after boiling. Consume this solution with Honey. 5.While sleeping, lie straight on your back or with bent knees supported by a pillow. 6.Taking hot and cold compresses on an alternate basis can be quite helpful in relieving pain...

Homoeopathic medicine-- adel-39 drops (adel) drink 20 drops in 20 ml fresh water 3 times daily----------- magnesia phos 6x (adel) chew 4 tab every 2-3 hrly till pains subside---------- take a calcium rich diet constituting milk and its products and 1 egg daily.----taking fish oil capsules is also beneficial in your case.
