Since then I have been experiencing these blisters and other such symptoms on a regular basis. Want to know how should I get sure that I have herpes or not? Which test is required? It is herpes simplex labialis. It is recurrent, it means, it keeps on occuring agai and again. It is also known as cold sores. What Is Recurrent Herpes Simplex Labialis? Recurrent herpes simplex labialis, also known as oral herpes, is an infection of the mouth area caused by the herpes simplex virus. It’s a common and contagious infection that spreads easily. The infection causes blisters and sores on the lips, mouth, tongue or gums. After an initial infection, the virus stays dormant inside the nerve cells of the face. Later on in life, the virus can reactivate and result in more sores. The herpes is recurrent when this happens. These are commonly known as cold sores or fever blisters. Recurrent herpes simplex labialis is usually not serious, but relapses are common. Many people choose to treat the recurrent episodes with over-the-counter creams. The symptoms will usually go away without treatment in a few weeks. A doctor may prescribe medications if relapses occur often. Herpes simplex labialis is the result of a virus called herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1). The initial infection usually occurs before age 20. It typically affects the lips and areas around the mouth. You can get the virus from close personal contact with someone who has the virus. You can also get oral herpes from touching objects where the virus may be present. These include towels, utensils, razors for shaving, and other shared items. After the first infection, the virus lays dormant inside the nerve cells of the face for the rest of a person’s life. This means that symptoms aren’t always present. However, certain events can make the virus reawaken and lead to a recurrent herpes infection. Events that trigger a recurrent infection of oral herpes might include: fever menstruation a high-stress event fatigue hormonal changes upper respiratory infection extreme temperature a weakened immune system recent dental work or surgery Simplex Labialis Treatment You can’t get rid of the virus itself. Once infected, HSV-1 will remain in your body forever, even if you don’t have recurrent episodes. Symptoms of a recurrent episode usually go away within one to two weeks without any treatment. The blisters will usually scab and crust over before they disappear. At-Home Care Applying ice or a warm cloth to the face or taking a pain reliever like acetaminophen might help to reduce any pain. Some people choose to use over-the-counter skin creams. However, these creams usually only shorten an oral herpes relapse by one or two days. Medication You may take oral antiviral medicines such as acyclovir, famciclovir, or valacyclovir under medical supervision to fight the virus. These medicines work better if you take them when you experience the first signs of a mouth sore, such as tingling on the lips, and before the blisters appear. These medications don’t cure herpes and may not stop you from spreading the virus to other people. For cases of recurrent herpes simplex labialis that result in frequent mouth sores, your doctor may advise you to use the medication all the time. Preventing the Spread of Herpes The following tips may help prevent the infection from reactivating or spreading. Wash any items that may have had contact with the infected sores, like towels, in boiling water after use. Don’t share food utensils or other personal items with people who have oral herpes. Don’t share cold sore creams with anyone. Don’t kiss or participate in oral sex with someone who has cold sores. To keep the virus from spreading to other parts of the body, don’t touch the blisters or sores. If you do, wash your hands with soap and water immediately. Long-Term Outlook Symptoms usually go away within one to two weeks. However, the cold sore episodes can frequently return. The rate and severity of the sores usually diminish as you get older. Infections near the eye or in immune-compromised individuals can be serious. You should see your doctor in these cases.

Hi, Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i. E. Cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Prevention: -Take healthy food only and avoid unhealthy ones (although sebaceous glands are not excretory glands then as well!) as what you eat is reflected on your face! -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension as it encourages secretion of stress hormone in the body as thus affects skin or any other tissue of the body. -Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water in a day. -Take 6-8 hrs. Of sound sleep everyday. -Don't use others towels, handkerchief on your face as well as never share yours. -Never ever rub your face as it damages the skin (even towel should be dab on skin softly) and break outs of acne get worsened! -Maintain hygiene, wash your face 2-3 times in a day, changes the pillow covers, bed sheet daily, use cotton bed sheet only (try to sleep on your back). Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 30 days.

To prevent hair fall, you can follow some simple steps as listed below: 1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home). 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like egg, yogurt and lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply raw amla juice on hair thrice a week. 5. Rub your scalp with the juice of white onion. 6. Use a paste of bhringraj on hair. 7. You can use some good hair packs like - fenugreek and yogurt, egg and green tea. 8. You can rinse your hair with organic apple cider vinegar after washing your hair to maintain pH balance of your hair. 9. Hair health depends on the amount of protein in your diet. Foods like chicken, eggs, fish, nuts, dry fruits gives you the required nutrients to keep your skin and hair healthy. So consume plenty of them. Eat things rich in vitamin C like amla and oranges.

Laser Skin Tightening - How Is It Beneficial?

MD - Skin,VD & Lepxsy, MBBS

Laser Skin Tightening - How Is It Beneficial?

Ageing is often the harshest foe to the skin. The years will take its toll on the skin’s tightness, resulting in loose saggy skin. However, there are many techniques which allow for the rejuvenation and tightening of the skin and help you get your youthful look back. Most of these are usually non-invasive or minimally-invasive and include creams, peels, dermabrasion and other such forms of treatment. One such method which has become quite popular is laser skin tightening.

What is Laser Skin Lightening?

As is evident from the name, this method uses a laser or an infrared light source of a specific wavelength to heat up the treated area. This method of treatment specifically heats up the collagen present under the skin and stimulates it to cause tightening. This treatment also encourages the growth of new collagen under the skin.

Benefits of Laser Skin Tightening:

Some of the benefits of laser skin tightening are mentioned below –

  1. It works deep beneath the skin– While most other treatments make you look younger by treating the superficial layers of skin, laser skin tightening works by stimulating the collagen under the skin and thus works from way deeper, making it a more effective treatment. It can easily correct all forms of lines on your neck, forehead, eyes, wrinkles and blemishes.

  2. Minimally invasive– There is no involvement of surgical tools and thus no incisions, stitches or even injections are used. Although the skin is heated up from beneath the surface with the help of a laser, it is still a minimally invasive procedure.

  3. Less painful– Although the lower layers of the skin are heated up, the laser mechanism allows for the top-most layer of the skin to remain cool, thus lessening the pain and discomfort faced during the procedure.

  4. Minimal downtime– Laser skin tightening is a minimally invasive process and is usually done on an outpatient basis. The total downtime is quite minimal and you can resume daily activities quite quickly after the procedure.

  5. Lasts for longer– As the new collagen develops under your skin, the effects start to show in full swing in about a couple of months. You may at best need a follow up treatment to ensure that the best results are achieved. However, once the treatment is completed and the skin tightens, the effects do stay for quite a while.

I am 22years old male and have hair fall problem for last 2years What should I do?
Hi. It's normal to lose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg, eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin), different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regularly massage head and hair with coconut oil, almond oil (depending upon your scalp type) 1 to 3 times a week. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash.

I am 27 years old and I have a very hairy face. Is there any way I can get rid of them? permanently.
Facial and body hair in women is considered unfeminine and is quite embarrassing for many women. The good thing is there are many methods to get rid of unwanted hair. We will discuss some common methods here natural remedies/home tips for unwanted facial hair: 1. Lemon juice is a natural bleaching agent. Mix gram pulse flour (besan), wheat flour, milk cream, a few drops of fresh lemon juice, mustard oil and water together. Rub this paste in circular movements and wash it off. Do it regularly. Start this treatment from an early age as hair is soft and fine at that time. 2. Mix sugar, water and lemon juice to a thick paste. Apply it and wash it off when it dries. Do this once a week to prevent hair growth. 3. Mix 2 tsp of barley powder with little milk, few drops of fresh lemon juice and make a paste. Apply it on your face, remain for 15 minutes and wash it off with warm water. If done regularly, you can get of fine facial hair. 4. Take equal quantities of moong dal powder, neem leaves powder, kasthuri manjal powder and few kuppaimeni leaves. Grind it to a paste with very less water. Apply on skin and leave it to dry. After 15-20 minutes, scrub your face gently in the direction of hair growth to remove unwanted fine hair. These natural remedies, if followed regularly, discourage hair growth over a period of time. It also helps to get rid of very fine facial hair on upper lips and chin. Electrolysis and laser treatment are also effective ways to remove hair and reduce hair growth but should be done by licensed professionals in that field. Any queries inform me.

Avoid cosmetics and over the counter face products. Overwashing won't remove pimples or spots. You need to use cold water and wash face with a salicylic acid containing wash twice a day and not more. It vil help reduce the oiliness to a large degree. You can also use a natural face pack of orange, honey and curd for fifteen minutes once a week and wash it off. This vil decrease the the oil, whiten and moisturise your skin.
