Hello, 1.You can take Tablet Paracetamol 500 mg one tablet stat after food 2.Hot fomentation twice a day for 3 days I am giving to some common reasons for LEG PAIN 1. generalized weakness 2. Anaemia 3. physical exertion 4. lack of protein in Diet 5. any infection present on leg or foot 6. muscle weakness and any trauma 7 abrupt start/ stop of physical exercise 8. Vit D and Calcium Deficiency consult orthopedic surgeon for further management

Hi lybrate-user if you don't want to go for knee transplant operation then the best way to maintain a good lifestyle and your joint mobility is to go for Intensive Physiotherapy. Sir for this in ayurveda a very well known medicine is available. Please apply maha narayan oil on both side. Twice daily. Try to protect knee from wet cool air. Also start some physical exercise to increase circulation. After 10 days tell the progress.

You might be suffering from shin splints. After jogging or running (specially for beginners) the muscles and flesh along the edge of the shin bone become inflamed, so it hurts to walk, run, or jump. Jogging on hard surfaces can bring this on. You are more likely to get shin splints if you have flat feet or your feet turn outward. Some tips to deal with this condition : 1.Rest your legs, do not jog when in pain. 2. Ice pack application. 3. Anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen. 4. Stretching and warm up to be done before jogging or running. 5. Gradual and step wise increase in physical activity. If problem persists consult again.

1. Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. 2. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. 3. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. 4. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. 5. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling.

Since you have not mentioned whether she has pain in rt. Leg or rt. Hand, I am assuming she has pain in her rt. Upper limb (arm+forearm+hand). As per her mri reports mentioned here she should avoid bending forwards and use a" soft cervical collar" throughout the day time. She must also take help of a physiotherapist for" intermittent cervical traction" also she must undergo a neurological screening at an orthopaedician or neurosurgeon clinic.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) - 3 Ways You Can Get it Treated

The anterior cruciate ligament is one of the most delicate yet vital ligaments that holds the knee bones in place and stabilizes the movement. Injury to the ligament, on account of a sprain, can prove to be a cause of severe distress. This may lead to a partial or a complete destabilization of the knee joints and impair the normal movements to a great extent.

Causes
Some of the most common causes of this sort of a ligament tear are accidental injuries during a sporting activity, unexpected collision or incorrect body postures. This is a fairly common occurrence among the athletes. However, the physiological and neuromuscular controls make women more susceptible to damage to the Anterior Cruciate Ligament than men.

There are two cruciate ligaments in our body, i.e. the anterior and the posterior cruciate ligaments. They run in crosses to connect the insides of the knee joints. They regulate the back and forth movement of your knees. They therefore, may incur substantial damage through sudden movements like jerks or an abrupt change of direction; the degree of tear may vary from minor strains to complete detachment. Accordingly, treatments are available to cure the distress. The treatments may either be surgical or nonsurgical, depending about the extent of the injury as well as the age of the patient. A complete tear in the ligament necessitates surgery for recovery. However, one may choose to opt for other non - surgical methods to minimize the damage.

Some of the most effective treatments for a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament have been enlisted below:
1. Bracing: Wearing a brace or using a crutch for the purpose of movement can accord the knees with some stability. It also keeps the joints intact and alleviates pain.
2. Physiotherapy: Once the inflammation reduces, you may opt for physiotherapy to restore movement and reduce the pain. Heat and Ice therapies work as ideal adjuvants to physiotherapy in such cases.
3. Surgery: Regrowth of the anterior cruciate ligament may be possible through a surgical process of grafting. This enables the tissues to repair themselves. Knee caps and adequate rest accord better rehabilitation. You must have a balanced high protein diet. Increase fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. Protein sources like egg whites and soya. However if weakness persists get your thytoid, blood sugar & vitamin d levels tested and review.

As your rightly said you have to go for traction and also you can do IFT. Please consult the near by therapist for quick relief. Since you have pain for more than 10 years it is suggestible to go for cervical muscle strengthening exercises.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. For acidity take cyra 20 mg tab od x5days.
