I want to increase my concentration level I am unable to concentrate for more hours What shall I do Also want to increase immune power Suggest some remedies.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
CONCENTRATION TIPS Here’s some tips to get into a state of deep concentration where work / or studies flow easily so that you can do well in examinations/ and or do your work well. 1) Cut Off the Noise Getting into a state of concentration can take at least fifteen minutes. If you are getting distracted every five, you can’t possibly focus entirely on your work. Request that people don’t interrupt you when working on a big project. If you are required to answer phones and drop-in’s immediately, schedule work when the office is less busy. 2) Structure Your Environment The place you work can have an impact on your ability to focus. Try to locate yourself so you are facing potential distractions such as doors, phones or windows. This way you can take a glance to assess sounds that would otherwise break your focus. 3) Clarify Objectives Know what your goal is clearly before you start. If you aren’t sure what the end result is, the confusion will make it impossible to focus. 4) Divide Blobs. If you have a large project that needs work, clearly identify a path that you will use to get started working on it. If the sequence of actions isn’t obvious, it will be difficult to concentrate. Taking a few minutes to plan not only your end result, but the order you will complete any steps, can save hours in wasted thinking. 5) Know the Rules Get clear on what the guidelines are for the task ahead. What level of quality do you need? What standards do you need to follow? What constraints are there? If the rules aren’t clear from the outset, you will slip out of concentration as you ponder them later. 6) Set a Deadline Deadlines have both advantages and disadvantages when trying to force concentration. A deadline can make it easier to forget the non-essential and speed up your working time. If you give yourself only an hour to design a logo, you will keep it simple and avoid fiddling with extravagant designs. Time limits have disadvantages when they cause you to worry about the time you have left instead of the task itself. 7) Break Down Roadblocks Roadblocks occur whenever you hit a tricky problem in your work. This can happen when you run out of ideas or your focus wavers. Break down roadblocks by brainstorming or planning on a piece of paper. Writing out your thought processes can keep you focused even if you might become frustrated. 8) Isolate Yourself Become a hermit and stay away from other people if you want to get work done. Unless your work is based on other people they will only break your focus. Create a private space and refuse to talk to anyone until your work is finished. Put a sign on your door to steer away drop-ins and don’t answer your phone. 9) Healthy Body, Sharper Mind What you put into your body affects the way you concentrate. Nobody would expect peak performance if they showed up drunk to work. But if you allow yourself to get chronic sleep deprivation, overuse stimulants like caffeine or eat dense, fatty foods your concentration will suffer. Try to cut out one of your unhealthy habits for just thirty days to see if there is a difference in your energy levels. I’ve found even small steps can create dramatic changes in my ability to focus. 10) Be Patient Before I write an article, I often sit at my desk for a fifteen or twenty minutes before I put finger on the keyboard. During this time I feel a strong urge to leave or do something else. But I know that if I am patient, I’ll stumble upon an idea to write about and enter a state of flow. Without a little patience, you can’t take advantage of flow when it rushed through you.

I want to eat muscle mass and fat. Can you suggest me proper diet keeping in view that I am lactose intolerant.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
I want to eat muscle mass and fat. Can you suggest me proper diet keeping in view that I am lactose intolerant.
You may think that if you’re lactose intolerant, you just have to sacrifice the benefits of dairy. Yet there’s an alternative: Popping a couple of lactase enzyme supplements right before consuming dairy could help ensure that all the nutrients wind up in your muscles, not the toilet. Lactase enzymes have been shown in several clinical trials to effectively increase lactose digestion; these studies indicate that even subjects who are considered highly lactose intolerant can consume dairy products if they take enzyme supplements. When choosing a lactase enzyme supplement, look for a product standardized for Food Chemical Codex (FCC) lactase units. This signifies the product is produced according to FCC standards to break the bonds holding lactose together. Each person’s ability to digest lactose varies, so you have to experiment to find out how much supplemental lactase your body needs. If you consider yourself to be moderately lactose intolerant, start by taking 2, 500–5, 000 FCC units of lactase when consuming dairy-based protein supplements or foods. Those who are more sensitive to dairy should start with 10, 000–20, 000 FCC units. If your lactase supplement is in capsule form, make sure you take it at least 15 minutes before consuming dairy so your stomach has time to break down the capsule. Lactase powders or chewable supplements can be ingested at the same time as dairy. The meal plan below is designed for a bodybuilder who suffers with lactose intolerance and who wishes to gain lean, quality muscle and strength. If lactose is consumed it can cause bloating which is undesirable for someone who needs to eat frequently. Use the structured plan to give you an idea of what are suitable foods to consume and when to consume them in relation to weight training. The plan is a guide and it's important to vary choices; don't relay too much on supplements and make sure the brands you purchase are of good quality. Adapt the plan to suit your own needs and daily routine and vary portions and food choices from day to day. Also, for maximum performance ensure plenty of rest and drink plenty of fluid. Wake 7.30am1 scoop whey protein isolate in water 8.00am Breakfast Large bowl porridge made with 250ml soya milk* + tbsp ground linseeds (+ sweetener, if desired) 2 slices granary bread toasted + natural peanut butter 200ml orange juice 10.30am2 sandwiches (4 slices granary bread) + tuna or sliced chicken breast Banana Drink water 12.30 pm LunchLarge chicken breast 200ml fresh vegetable soup 4 slices granary bread + olive oil** spread Salad Drink water 3.00pm2 squares Easy Flapjack 1 scoop whey protein isolate in water Item fruit Drink water 45 mins pre-workout 80g chicken breast Large handful mixed nuts 2 oatcakes TRAIN – 45-60 minutes Immediately post workout 2 scoops whey protein isolate + 20g maltodextrin in water 7.30 pm Lean steak or 2 lean pork chops 100g boiled Basmati rice or 5-6 small boiled new potatoes or large dry roasted sweet potato Large serving of vegetables 9.30pm No Allergy Fruit Smoothie + 1 scoop whey protein isolate 2-3 oatcakes or rye crispbread with natural peanut butter Bedtime 80g mackerel fillet.

AUTLS, CCEDM, MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS

There are several things you can do to prevent a cold. they are all easy. -Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing into your hands, blowing your nose, after touching someone who is sick, or when using public restrooms or telephones. -Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough. -Get plenty of rest/sleep.staying at home will keep you from spreading germs.Avoid people who have a cold or cold symptoms. -Drink plenty of fluids(veg/tomato soups, dal water/coconut water/herbal tea etc), and eat nutritious food(like sprouts/boiled eggs without yolk with milk). Avoid foods or drinks with caffeine which can impair your sleep -Treatment:A cold usually lasts for a week or two. Unless you develop complications, you shouldn't need medical treatment. -Complications like infections of the ears, throat, sinuses or lungs must be treated with antibiotics. -Gargle to keep from getting a sore throat. -Use saline nasal sprays or nasal irrigation. -Tablet nasorest-p once/twice daily may ease breathing. -Do steam inhalation once or twice daily

Masturbation and Hairloss

Does Masturbation contribute to Hairloss?

Yes, during sex or masturbation testosterone levels increase and at the point of ejaculation, some testosterone is converted into DHT. If the DHT makes it to the scalp and the scalp is sensitive to DHT, the result could be increased hair loss.

Solution: You can stop masturbating or having sex (at least to the point of ejaculation.

Homeopathy Treatments for Infections

BHMS, MD - Homeopathy
Homeopath, Gurgaon
Homeopathy Treatments for Infections

Infection is generally understood as the invasion into the body tissues by certain foreign bodies, such as bacteria, parasite and virus. They are transmissible diseases and can be transmitted from one person to the other via sneezing, coughing or physical contact. They can be mild, moderate or severe.

  1. They can be acute that is can last for a short time or chronic that lasts for a long time or a latent infection that may not cause any symptoms at first but reactivates and resurfaces over a period of time.
  2. Although each infection has its own distinct symptom, generally these symptoms include fever, swelling, redness, inflammation, burning, cough, diarrhea, fatigue, muscular pain, nausea, vomiting, rapid pulse or rapid breathing.
  3. If the patient has severe headache, difficulty in breathing, painful swelling, and unexplained prolonged fever or cough, he or she should immediately consult a doctor.

Conventional drugs that are given to treat infections like antibiotics, antiviral, antihistamines and steroids have many side effects on the human body . They, on one hand hampers the digestive power of the system and on the other hand lower the immunity power of the body. In the long run, these medicines can have adverse effects on the body. Though conventional drugs suppress the disease for some time, the disease tends to resurface in future.

However, Homeopathy has been found to be a great success in treating both acute and chronic infections. The best part is that, there are no side effects of this treatment and the disease is cured permanently. Homeopathy also boosts our immune system so that the body naturally develops the strength to fight against infections in future, when foreign bodies invade. Homeopathic medicines have also proved to be effective as preventive measures against infections.

Some of the homeopathic medicines for the treatment of most common infections are discussed below:

  1. Throat infections: Belladonna, Lachesis, Lycopodium, Phytolacca, and Mercurius are most commonly administered to cure throat infections.
  2. Skin infection: Common homeopathic remedies are Sulphur, Calendula, Hypericum, Silica, and Hepar sulfuris.
  3. Bladder infection: Berberis, Chimaphila, Hydrastis, Apis, Cantharis, and Sarsaparilla are commonly prescribed.
  4. Stomach infection: Arsenic album, Nux vomica, Carbo veg, Lycopodium, and Pulsatilla are commonly recommended
  5. Sinus infection: Kali bichromicum, Pulsatilla, Mercurius, Natrum muriaticum, and Allium cepa work well in cases of sinus infections.

Note: Although, the names of the medicines have been mentioned here, still it is strongly recommended that no medicine should be consumed without consulting a homeopathic doctor. The  potency and dosage of the medicine will vary from person to person and can only be decided by a trained practitioner.
