Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this - 1) Do a clinical examination by your treating Doctor[neurologist]and do MRI scan to confirm it. 2) You can take OTC pain killer like [ibuprofen]with any PPI for pain 3) Consult with a physiotherapist for exercise plan for 2 months Do follow lifestyle modification like this - 1) Exercise. Strengthening the trunk muscles helps stabilize and support the spine. 2) Try to maintain good posture. Good posture reduces the pressure on your spine and disks. Keep your back straight and aligned, particularly when sitting for long periods. Lift heavy objects properly, making your legs not your back do most of the work. 3) Maintain a healthy weight. Excess weight puts more pressure on the spine and disks, making them more susceptible to herniation. Hope that helps.

Hello, I met with an accident on 25 august 2016 my forefoot bone broke down right foot. Now after getting plaster for 6 weeks bone is still not fully joined. I am worried for it, my plaster was removed on 7 October. I feel pain while walking I am unable to put body weight on my foot. Can anyone help me or guide me in this? Can my bone break down again if I walk or there is no such type of risk? Can I resume my activities or driving?

I am 53 years old I have acute pain in my right lower border of ribcage I am having chronic bronchitis. I have some sort of mild pain in my right shoulder joint since from last week.

Dip. SICOT (Belgium), MNAMS, DNB (Orthopedics), MBBS
Orthopedist, Delhi
Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. This pain in rib cage can be a reflection of your bronchitis condition. Your shoulder pain can be due to degeneration setting in joint. You can start with: 1) physical therapy for shoulder in presence of a good physiotherapist initially 2) you can take short course of anti-inflammatory medications as per your suitability 3) ice packs for 4-5 days ( 10-15 min every 2-3 hours) if it does not help, then please let me know and we might get some x rays done for you. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards Dr Akshay Kumar Saxena
