Follow these best methods to easily gain weight and get a healthy body - * to gain weight, first take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calories food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of bournvita or complan powder with breakfast. * after 2 hours of breakfast, take 2 bananas or a bowl of boiled soyabeans. To increase your hunger & proper digestion of food - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. How Stress Creates Depression: 6 Ways to Manage Stress

Stress is a normal physical response to events that make us feel threatened or upset our balance in some way.

When we sense danger – whether real or imagined – the body’s defenses kick into high gear in a rapid, automatic process known as the “fight-or-flight” reaction, or stress response. The stress response is the body’s way of protecting us. So it’s important to know effective ways to manage stress.

Stress can lead to depression. In fact depression is one of the major outcomes of stress.

How Stress Creates Depression

From the Ayurvedic point of view, most depression is an imbalance of doshas. A dosha is a fundamental principle in the body that goes out of balance. If left untreated imbalanced doshas can lead to more serious problems.

There are three doshas in the body.

Kapha dosha is the earth and water principle in the body. Kapha forms the glue and structure of our bodies. It’s qualities are heaviness, slowness and steadiness. Depression is an imbalance of kapha dosha that begins to set in when stress occurs.

In depression, first the air principle (Vata dosha) and then the fire principle (Pitta dosha) get out of balance. In other words, the brain’s electro chemistry has an erratic overreaction to a stressful circumstance. This triggers a loss of enzymatic activity in the metabolism.

The body responds by trying to glue everything down, bringing about heaviness, darkness, and stagnation. The mind-body interprets this as a negative message of hopelessness and depression ensues.

In other words, because of specific etiological factors, Vata from the colon, pitta from the intestine, or Kapha from the stomach enters the general circulation and lodges in the nervous system. These imbalanced doshas interfere with the normal functioning of the mind and nervous system and cause depression.

So before stress gets control over your body and mind you must learn ways to manage stress. It is actually easy to do.

6 Ways To Manage Stress

1. Keep a daily routine.

If you follow a daily routine, stress never can be a part of your life.

In Sanskrit the daily routine is called dinacharya. It means to merge your daily cycle with the natural cycle of the Sun, Moon, Earth and the other planets in our solar system.

Dinacharya is one of the best things that you can do to stay in balance, prevent disease and heal almost any disease. Set your daily routine from the moment you wake up to the time you go to bed in a correct manner and follow it regularly without any excuse.

Fix your time of waking up, breakfast, lunch, dinner, time with family and time you go to bed. To conquer stress, it is very important to manage your daily routine in this way.

2. Get A Relaxing Massage

An oil massage is an integral part of the daily routine recommended by Ayurveda for overall health and well-being. Traditional Ayurvedic texts wax eloquent on the benefits.

Give yourself a full body oil massage on a daily basis. It is nourishing, pacifies the doshas, relieves fatigue, provides stamina, pleasure and perfect sleep, enhances the complexion and the luster of the skin, promotes longevity and nourishes all parts of the body.

3. Do Yoga 

Make Yoga and Meditation a your part of your daily life. Yoga helps to connect our body to our mind and our mind to our soul. This is the best natural way to health and happiness, realizing our inner self and our true nature.

4. Meditate Daily

An ordinary person may consider meditation as worship or prayer. But it is not so. Meditation means awareness. Whatever you do with awareness is meditation. Watching your breath is meditation; listening to the birds is meditation. As long as these activities are free from any other distraction to the mind, it is effective meditation.

5. Receive Shirodhara

Shirodhara is an ancient Ayurvedic therapy where warm oil or other liquid is poured in a continuous stream over the forehead. This treatment is perfect for stress and other imbalances of the nervous system. It’s deeply relaxing, rejuvenating and loved by all.

How to overcome depression and how to put on some weight in that way eating not only food.
You need to meet with a counselor immediately and if that person feels you need to meet with a doctor too, you must do so. You must cooperate with both therapies and be consistent. I suggest that you visit these professionals along with your parents because their involvement is quite critical to your recovery. If it is of recent origin, you could easily pin-point it and take care of it. But I suspect that it may have to do with something in your developmental years, or your family background. In the meantime do the following, sincerely: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scotching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love: find someone to love and to love you back. If you love yourself adequately, you will never do harm to yourself. Be positive always and learn to do everything possible to invest into yourself. Life is extremely precious and because the depression, which is a mood disorder, makes you feel like giving up you must still persevere. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive everyday and learn to be contended with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved. Because you are young the prognosis is good subject to your cooperation. You want to put on weight you must exercise regularly and eat well. Sometimes you may suddenly feel that you are over-weight and will want to reduce and may have a problem with that. So do give this a serious thought and then do whatever is necessary. Any way exercise is a must for healthy living.

The cholesterol levels are deranged. As first line, you need to attempt diet change and exercise, if even after 6-8 weeks of these precautions, he may require treatment. Daily 40 mins of brisk walking for exercise. Quit smoking and drinking (if he does). Ask for a detailed dietary consult from a dietician. Get his blood sugar and TSH tested. Follow up with a General physician or cardiologist after 6 weeks with lipid profile report.

No smoking, no alcohol if any. Avoid outside spicy and fried food. Walk about 3-5 kms daily. There should be gap of 2 hrs after dinner and sleep. hi sasi... have you did sonography after delivery to diagnosed why abdominal belly not redused. it might be because abdominal rectii muscles... better you use abdominal belt do yoga as possible aerobics also help you. for diet avoid excess protein diet like chicken etc avoid milk and milk products... thank you
