I am suffering from alopecia I lost hair on my scalp on my hands chest and legs too. I have used some minoxidil 8 years back and it was of no use and I stopstopped using any medicines. As I am a hypo thyrodism since 11 years some Dr's said my thyroid problem is the reason for my hair loss and now I'm started loosing my eye brow and my beard hair too please suggest me some medicine or treatment to save remaining hair on my scalp.

Apply bhringraj oil on your scalp then give hot water fomentation. 1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep. Take pranacharya allergin capsule 1-1 twice a day. Take lots of proteins like soyabean. Egg white. Etc.avoid tea. Coffee.spicy food. Fermented food. Junk food. Apply only ayurvedic shampoo on your scalp. Do pranayama early morning.

I am facing some skin problem for the last 2 years but it gets more irritable in winter with red colored few lining on various part of the body. This red colored mark/lining will disappear withing fe minutes and will again developed in other spot, with changing spots frequently in different spot of the body with itching. I shown to many skin experts, medicines get me somehow relief, but not permanent relief. Recently I change the doctor, he suggested me "hydil 10" tabs and one lotion (dr. Reddy's venusia -lotion cream) cream for application on affected area. This medicine also reduced and controlled, but not permanent relief. Some doctors told me it is "urticaria" thanks please suggest me.

Hello, Common reasons for dark circle are aging, genetics, nutritional deficiency (of vitamin A, C, K, E), sleep deprivation, worm-infestation, anemia, smoking & drinking, dehydration, sun exposure, allergies, stress/ tension and hormonal changes. Dark circles are linked to anemia, and liver diseases. So, in case of dark circles which are there due to some underlying cause can be get rid rid of once the causative factor is rectified. But the dark circles which are inherited from our genes can't be removed completely, to some extent can make slightly better. Diet and Management: Always take a balanced diet rich in green leafy vegetable, dairy products and all types of fruits to keep your body healthy. It is advisable to have at least 10-12 glasses of water and include fresh fruit daily. It is also advisable to restrict the intake of caffeinated drinks such as tea, coffee, alcohol and other caffeinated drinks as it aggravates dehydration. Take enough of 6-8hrs. Of sleep. Avoid taking stress/ tension. Do daily exercising regularly as it increases oxygen carrying capacity of the cells and tissues. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines – Schwabe's Cina 1M/ one dose at night for 10 days; Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. - both twice daily for 20 days. Revert me there after.

Choose glycerine soaps or bodywash with moisturisers in it. Avoid use of washcloths or loofahs while bathing. They can harbour bacteria and fungi. Skin does not need vigorous scrubbing for it to be clean. Be gentle and get healthier skin.

1. Berries

Different types of berries like strawberries, blueberries, mulberries, blackberries, cranberries, raspberries, cherries and boysenberries are considered great skin foods due to their high antioxidant content.

In fact, a 2012 study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry found that berries have potent antioxidant capacity.

Antioxidants combat free radicals and slow down the aging process by reducing oxidative damage to cells. Along with antioxidants, berries have anti-inflammatory properties.

Berries are easy to eat as a snack and you can add some to your cereal, smoothies or yogurt everyday to enjoy healthy and beautiful skin.

2. Olive Oil

Olive oil is a good source of polyphenols, antioxidants like vitamin E, and essential fatty acids, which can actually help delay the aging process in a beautiful way.

It is also rich in squalane, a natural emollient that is great for your skin as well as nails, lips and hair. The high amount of vitamin E in olive oil helps protect cell membranes and guards your skin against damage from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays.

You can apply olive oil directly on damp skin as a great moisturizer after taking a shower. It also makes a great hand moisturizer and can be used as a makeup remover.

To enjoy the health as well as beauty benefits of olive oil, sprinkle it on your salad and use it for cooking your meal.

3. Wild Salmon

Wild salmon is one of the best food sources for omega-3 fatty acids, which help maintain cell membranes to allow water and nutrients in while keeping harmful toxins out.

These healthy fats also reduce inflammation in the body and lower the risk of skin cancer. Salmon also contains selenium, a mineral that protects the skin from harmful UV rays.

Aim to eat at least two servings of this fatty fish each week. One serving equals two to three ounces. You can enjoy salmon grilled or baked, in pasta or salad, or as a side dish. Along with wild salmon, herring, mackerel and sardines will help promote smooth, clear and glowing skin.

4. Spinach

This leafy green vegetable is rich in antioxidants along with vitamins B, C, and E, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, and omega-3 fatty acids, which are great for the overall health of your skin.

In a study published in the International Journal of Cancer, people who ate more spinach suffered less from different types of skin tumors compared with those who ate the least amount of spinach.

This is possible due to the high amount of folate in spinach that helps repair and maintain DNA, prevents cell damage and slows down the aging process. Also, the water content in spinach penetrates cell membranes and can give you plumper and less wrinkled skin.

5. Tomatoes

Tomatoes are the best source of the anti-aging antioxidant lycopene. Lycopene helps reduce inflammatory response to harmful UV damage, thus protecting the skin from the damage due to sun’s rays. To enjoy the skin benefits of lycopene, you need to cook the tomatoes rather than eating them raw.

Tomatoes also contain a good amount of vitamin C, which helps in collagen production and protects cells from damage caused by free radicals.

6. Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes contain a good amount of vitamin C, which helps in the production of collagen, a protein that reduces wrinkles and helps keep your skin nice and smooth. In addition, the vitamin A in sweet potatoes gives you a brighter complexion.

You can include sweet potatoes in your diet by adding them to casseroles, soups or salads. You can even try them baked as a side dish.

Hello, there can be many reasons behind it like physical or emotional stress, inadequate protein intake, genetics, anemia, aging, hormonal changes, prolonged illness, deficiency of vitamin b6 and folic acid, over-styling, thyroid diseases take homoeopathic medicine weisbaden 30 (4 drops in little water) twice a day for 15 days and update. Most important is hygeine. Keep your body clean and scrubbed, wear cotton clothes. Bathe twice with anti bacterial soap like Cetaphil or Sebamed. Improve your diet, leave junk food. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables

Diffuse hair fall can be caused by multiple causes like prior stress, prolonged illness, enviornmental pollution, nutritional deficiency and endocrinal factors. First of all avoid trauma, heat and cosmetic products on hairs, avoid use of shampoos containing sodium laurayl sulphate, take diet rich in proteins and vitamins. You can take nutritional supplements with 10mg of biotin. You can do hair massage with argan oil.

Avoid exposure to sun and dust for glow skin and you can try some home based treatment. 1. Take 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of honey. Mix it till the honey dissolves properly. Moisten your face and apply it on your face and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Both honey and lemon works as a natural bleacher, which makes your skin glowing and radiant instantly. Wash your face thoroughly with cold water. 2. Take rice and make a fine powder in the grinder. The powder should feel like a smooth white scrubber. Mix enough milk in it to form a paste. Apply it on your moisten face and scrub your skin for 15-20 minutes. The paste will fall automatically while you rub your face. Let the whole scrub fall, and then, wash your face with cold water. Follow these tips to lightens and remove the pimples marks -. 1. Take fuller, s earth (multani mitti) and sandalwood powder (chandan powder) mixed in same quantity mixed in water and apply on the mark in night and wash it after 1 hour. It will slowly removes the marks. 2. Take a piece of aloe vera. Apply gel of leaves on mark daily. Wash it after 30 minutes. 3. Crush one tomato and apply the paste on mark. It will lightens the mark definitly. 4. Soak cotton gauze in rose water and clean the dark spots 2-3 times daily. 4. Take carotene rich vegetable suchas carrots, beetroot and fruits- mango, pineapple, strawberry regularly.
