Dear Lybrate User, *Cleansing shall be one of the most important steps of your skin care routine. Even if you are not having an acne problem washing the face twice a day helps in removing dirt, oil and dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. Less oil and dirt also means less acne. While washing your face never apply soap and always use a mild face cleanser. Also wash the face only with warm or cold water as using hot water can cause pimples. *Avoid more salt, dry, junk foods. Consult to get prescribe suitable for pimple and detoxification.

I used to be fair now I am very much on the tan side how can I remove tan by eating and applying things?
1) use a sunscreen daily 20 mins before sun-exposure and every 2-3 hrs. Also keep the sunexposure to the minimum. 2) use certain prescribed skin lighting agents.(don't use without prescription) inclinic treatment: 3) tca peels at 3-4 week intervals (these peels have a 5-7 day down time). 4) co2 fractional laser. It is a fungal infection 1. Apply panderm plus ointment twice daily for (1-2 week) 2.. Take one tablet of levocetrizine(5mg) at bed time if itching is severe 3.Thoroughly dry the area after taking bath and keep it dry and sweat free. Apply candid powder in the affected area 4.Use loose cotton under wear instead of tight synthetic one 5. Change the under wear daily and use clean and washed one 6.Maintain personal hygiene 7.consult doctor for further advice

1.Use amla (gooseberry) juice on scalp and also to drink. 2.Mix curry leaves with coconut oil and heat up and let it cool. Wheat Germ oil to massage your head at night. You can also put some fenugreek powder in the oil, heat the oil a bit and apply it on scalp for hairfall, whitening and dandruff. 3.Apply hair packs like Egg with Yogurt, Banana. 4.Have lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits rich in Vitamin C. 5.Protein is the most important element for maintaining hair health. Make sure your diet in protein rich sources like eggs, fish, chicken, soyabean, sprouts, pulses and grains 6.Zinc, iron & copper promote healthy hair. Some sources of this are – eggs, whole grains, all types of seeds like flaxseed, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, Dry fruits and nuts etc.

At this age it happens but its torturing then need to observe the case. Reduce salty n sour food drink from diet, apply paste of well ripened papaya in masur flour in day time for 7 days.

Hi! Dandruff is a common occurence. It has a tendency to recur. You have to take continuous efforts to keep it at bay. 1. Shampoo hair as frequently as required. Keep the hair clean. 2. Avoid hair styling products till dandruff goes off. 3. Use anti dandruff shampoo which contains ketoconazole once or twice a week. 4.Oil clean washed hair. 5. Do not try to scrape or comb away the flakes. Be gentle with your hair and scalp. 6. Wash your combs and brushes regularly. Do not share them.  See a Dermatologist personally for products which suit your needs and hair scalp type. For hair loss start with hair vitamins containing biotin and zinc for 3 to 6 months.

Hi, Be happy from inside and taking nutritious, healthy food and daily yoga or some kind of exercises as that will be automatically reflected on your face. Yes, the colour which is inherited from your parents/ ancestors, cannot be changed, but you can try to get glow on your face! Daily Regime: Apart from these, you do follow CTMP, i. E. Cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally sunscreen with SPF-30 – a thick layer of Bakson's Suncare cream may be, 20-30 minutes before going out daily and repeat it's application after every 3-4hrs.) after washing your face daily; use the products as per your skin type. This will change the skin texture and skin tone. In case you do have tanning, apply honey with a dash of lime on your face. Eat right and healthy that too on time, relieve your stress/ tensions, sleep well, stop smoking, as this restricts blood flow to your face and leaves you with a greyish complexion. Lead a healthy lifestyle! Apart from this, avoid anger, anxiety, fear which increases stress hormone in the body and subsequently makes your complexion darker! (Hormonal imbalances also plays a major role). If the dull and dark skin tone is due to any underlying ailment or diseases, need to look into the matter. Diet: -Increase your Vitamin C intake (lemon, orange, gooseberry, etc. Fruits/juices, strawberries, sweet peppers, tomatoes, can notaloupe, and green peas). - Eat more Vitamin A (nonfat milk, oysters, and egg yolks, carrots, watermelon, papaya, tomatoes, or other dark colored produce). If you feel your skin is weak or not tight enough, that usually suggests a lack of Vitamin A. Medicine: Use homoeopathic cream - Medicynth's Whitch Hazel or Bakson’s Fairness cream daily at night. Home remedies: Apply fresh-squeezed lemon juice to your entire face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes And then wash it off with lukewarm water. After this, rub cucumber slices on your skin to soften and moisturize it. Do this daily or every other day. Another option is squeeze the juice of one-half lemon and mix one to two tablespoons of raw honey in it. Apply it on your face, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off. Make a paste of'Kasturi Manjal' (wild turmeric) with rose petals, saffron and raw milk which is very effective.

It is normal to lose about 30-80 strands of hair in a day. Common reasons behind hair fall are 1) lack of essential nutrients in the body 2) improper and unhealthy dietary habits 3) hormonal imbalance 4) certain medications, 5) dandruff, alopecia and other scalp disorders, 6) anemia and thyroid issue 7) increased body heat 8) stress and tension etc. 9) use of hard water to wash hairs tips to stop hair loss 1) use natural oils such as coconut, almond etc. To massage gently the scalp for countering hair fall. 2) have more proteins and trace minerals in diet. 3) start taking ayurvedic hair nutrition supplement. 4) keep stress away with regular exercise, yoga, meditation. 5) get the underlying scalp condition like dandruff treated. 6) milk with 2 spoon cow ghee on empty stomach 7) avoid hard water to wash your hairs.

Dear patient, 1.I suggest you some natural antioxidant with Vitamin C combined diet like.. green tea with lemon juice,Sprouts with slice of ginger and lemon, Lemon juice with lukewarm water that will help you weight reduction and protection from skin damage. 2. But green tea and lemon water not to take at empty stomach. 3.Avoid oily food, spicy foods,jam jelly,ghee, honey, salt, sweets, fried foods, junk foods. 4.Green vegetables, fresh fruits, Skin less fish, chicken add in your diet chart. 5.Do not be at fasting more than 3 hours 6.take low amount of food at regular interval. 7.Do brisk walk for 45 min in a day at any time. Hi lybrate-user, sorry to hear about your lack of improvement with the acne you have been suffering. There are plenty of factors to the acne your suffering. So if one type of treatment does not work, the you have to look for other underlying causes, like a pcos hormone profile. These blood tests rule out a hormonal cause of the acne. If not you could start with medications or do acne peels.

There is in ayurveda mention pinda swed. It is a type of swedan karma [phomentation] but it do some another manner. 1. Boiled a rice in milk then take this rice in one white cloth then tied it properly and warmly it rub on your face every morning for 15 days then stop it and do next month again 2. Apply almond oil on your face and massage for 3-5 min at night. By doing above thing you will get good result on pores and dark spot.

Hi doctor, I am a 25 years old female. I am getting pimples from so many years .A dermatologist prescribed me to eat Ivotex 20 tablet daily for 30 days. But when I did google I found so many negative comments and found that it is dangerous for womens. Is it so? Can you please advice? Is this harmful for a women? Because I got heavy menstrual cramps and too much pain after having just 5 tablets of ivotex 20. I am so much scared. Please help me. I am worried because I need to stop these pimples as I am planning to get engaged. These pimples are not stopping at all and in turn leading to bad scarring. I have also got deep pitted acne scars. Female normally suffer with iron deficiency. Iron has different components. It is very important first to correct that. Hair is made up of minerals, protein and iron. Food rich in protein like sprouts, beans, nuts along with that green leafy vegetables helps to maintain the strength of hair. Drink 3 lit of water/day oil the scalp 3/week and wash it 3/week.
