It may be an onset of osteoarthritis of knee. Get your x-ray b/l knee and consult an ayurvedic physician. Ayurvedic medicines along with panchkarma therapies helps relieve the pain and retards the progress of degenrative disorders like arthritis.

Ask your friend to take essential rest for better healing of his condition. Avoid overusing knee, stop climbing stairs, sports activities etc in case it is aggravating his knee pain. Ice will reduce pain and swelling. Apply ice or cold packs immediately to prevent or minimize swelling. Apply the ice or cold pack for 10 to 20 minutes, 3 or more times a day. Elevate the injured or sore area on pillows while applying ice and anytime you are sitting or lying down. Try to keep the area at or above the level of your heart to help minimize swelling. Compression, or wrapping the injured or sore area with an elastic bandage, will help decrease swelling. Don't wrap it too tightly, since this can cause more swelling below the affected area. Loosen the bandage if it gets too tight. It’s important to find the cause behind the pain and swelling. Please consult a Physiotherapist.

Eliminate Knee and Joint Pain in Only 1 Day Using This Amazing Recipe!

Eliminate Knee and Joint Pain in Only 1 Day Using This Amazing Recipe!

More than millions of people worldwide suffer from joint and knee ache on a daily basis. Usually, this type of pain comes with age, although it can also be a consequence of wearing uncomfortable shoes and having a poor body posture.

Luckily for those who have this health issue, there is a 100% effective and natural cure. The ingredients of this remedy are rich in magnesium and silicon, known as pain-soothing compounds that have the power to strengthen the tendons and ligaments as well.

Let's take a look at the recipe for the so called gelatin treatment:

Needed:
2 tbsp of unflavored gelatin
1 orange
A ripe banana
2 tbsp of honey

Preparation:
First, squeeze the orange. Next, peel off the banana and mash it. Afterwards, add the honey to the mashed banana. Then, dissolve the gelatin in water. Use a double boiler to heat it and improve its consistency. After you do this, warm up the orange juice a bit, and add the gelatin to it. Stir the mixture to prevent lumps.

Next, transfer the gelatin blend into molds and put them in the fridge for 20 minutes. Then, remove the gelatin from the molds, turning it upside down on a plate, and add the honey and banana mixture.

Hello. I'm 23 years old and my weight is about 77 kg. I have knee knock problems since last 2 t0 3 year in both legs. How can I overcome this naturally by diet and exercise.

Hello.
I'm 23 years old and my weight is about 77 kg. I have knee knock problems since last 2 t0 3 year in both legs....
1. Avoid all snacks and commercial products with sugar in them - biscuits, cakes, bournvita, horlicks, coke, pepsi, energy drinks, sweetened yogurt etc. 2. Cut down on your daily intake of tea/coffee and maintain it at 3-4 cups a day. 3. Try to add little sugar to any beverage (coffee, tea, milk, lemon water etc.) that you have and ideally you should refrain from adding any sugar altogether. 4. If you have a sitting job then ensure that you do not sit for more than 30 minutes at one stretch. Get up and move a little after every 30 minutes. 5. Try to work out for 20 minutes each day. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym. You can incorporate some pretty powerful exercises in your daily routine like - squats, skipping, surya namaskar and core exercises. 6. Do not eat for 3 hours before you go to sleep. Eating before going to bed is one of the main cause of rapid weight gain. 7. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday but remember that tea/coffee are not substitutes for pure water.

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery - A Guide On What To Expect?

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics, Fellowship in Shoulder Surgery

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery - A Guide On What To Expect?

Spine surgery is conventionally performed as ‘open surgery’, which means the region being worked on is opened with a long entry point to permit the surgeon to view and access the area. Technical and scientific advances have permitted more back and neck conditions to be treated with a less obtrusive surgical technique. The minimal invasive spine surgery (MISS) does not include a long cut, and it prevents causing damage to the muscles around the spine. As a rule, this causes less pain after the surgery and a speedier and healthy recovery.

Spine surgery is normally suggested when non-surgical treatments like medicinal or exercise based methods have not helped in lessening the excruciating symptoms of your back problem. Moreover, surgery is just considered if your doctor can pinpoint the correct reason of your pain, for example, a herniated circle or spinal stenosis.

MISS is also called less obtrusive spine surgery. In these procedures, surgeons utilise particular instruments to get to the spine through little cuts. The surgery process is as follows:

  1. During the surgery, a little entry point is made and the tubular retractor is embedded through the skin.
  2. It is also inserted into the delicate tissues down to the spinal cord.
  3. This makes a passage to the little range where the problem exists in the spine.
  4. The tubular retractor holds the muscles open and is set up all through the surgery.
  5. The surgeon gets to the spine utilising the little instruments that fit through the focal point of the tubular retractor.
  6. Any bone or disk material that is expelled goes out from the retractor.
  7. Any gadgets needed for the fusion process, for example, screws or rods, are embedded through the retractor.
  8. A few surgeries require more than one retractor.
  9. Keeping in mind the end goal to see where to put the entry point and embed the retractor, the surgeon is guided by fluoroscopy.
  10. This strategy shows ongoing X-ray pictures of the patient's spine on a screen throughout the surgery.
  11. The surgeon additionally utilises a microscope to enlarge the view through the retractor.
  12. Towards the end of the procedure, the tubular retractor is expelled and the muscles come back to their original position.
  13. This restrains the muscle damage that is more ordinarily found in open surgeries.

It is very important to talk about these risks with your doctor before your surgery or procedure.

  1. Infection: Antibiotics are consistently given to the patient some time before, during, and regularly after the surgery to reduce the danger of infections.
  2. Bleeding: A specific measure of bleeding is normal; however, this is not commonly dangerous.
  3. Pain in the grafted area: Some patients will encounter surgical pain at the bone joint site.
  4. Recurring symptoms: A few patients may encounter a repeat of their side effects.
  5. Pseudarthrosis: Patients who tend to smoke are more prone to pseudarthrosis. This is a condition wherein there is insufficient bone formation. In case that this happens, a minor surgery may be required.
  6. Nerve damage: It is possible that the nerves or veins might be harmed during these operations. These complications are extremely uncommon.
  7. Blood clots: Another complication is blood clots in the legs. This poses a threat because these clots can break off and settle in the lungs. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Orthopedist.
