Knock knee is not due to heavy thighs but due to abnormal bend in the knees. People with knock knee try to keep their legs straight, due to which the thighs touch and cause discomfort. It is possible to measure the exact degree of bend in knock knee. If it is more than the acceptable range then the bend is usually corrected surgically which gives a lifetime relief. Ignoring knock knee can be dangerous as it can lead to premature degeneration and failure of the knees.

Don’t worry. You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. As soon as you start seeing the results, you will be surprised as well as motivated to go beyond your weight loss and adopt a lifelong healthy attitude. For a start please follow some instructions as stated below: 1. Watch what you eat – Are you eating too much junk, drinking excessive alcohol or eating too much white food and sugar? Please cut it down to as low as you can from tomorrow. Cut down tea/coffee if you are too addicted to it. It is creating havoc inside your body. 2. Alter your lifestyle – Are you a late sleeper and late riser? You can’t imagine what this schedule of yours is doing to your metabolism. It is degrading your digestive system from inside and your looks from outside. Try to go to bed early (before 10 pm is ideal) and wake up early as well (between 5 am and 6 am is good for a start). 3. Be physically active – If you are a couch potato who loves to watch TV whole day then throw that couch of yours in the street and get yourself a treadmill tomorrow. Yes it is as simple as that. Who is stopping you? You have to be physically active all day long if you want to burn those extra calories. Do daily brisk walk, Pranayam, atleast 20 surayanamaskar everyday to start seeing the results. Take break between office work to walk a little or rather just climb some stairs to get that food you ate in lunch have space and heat to digest and absorb. What’s the harm in using your washroom to do a little middle of the day squats. Do that – No one is watching you. The key is to stay physically active all day long, no matter what. 4. Try to eat healthy and eat on time – Not only eating healthy is important but also eating at the right time is equally important. Have an early breakfast and early dinner and have 4 small meals between breakfast and dinner. To guide you a bit, here’s a sample diet you can follow: A. Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B. At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea C. Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D. Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E. Between 4 p. M – 5 p. M – Cup of Green Tea F. Evening (4-6 p. M) – Have some nice sprouts with tomatoes and cucumber. G.Dinner (2 hours before sleeping, preferably before 9 p. M) – Paneer & veggies salad with olive oil, Roti or brown rice with Daal. H. Have a glass of warm milk. Weight loss is 80% about what you eat and 20% about exercises. That said, both the things go hand in hand. If you want to lose weight in a more healthy way than be patient and just follow the regimen every day. Slow and steady wins the race.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. MASTURBATION is normal, natural and never unhealthy. Even animals do masturbate. As a human being, you are also an animal. Every animal has sexual instinct because they are designed to reproduce. Human being also has sexual instinct and therefore he needs to satisfy sexual instinct. Therefore, to satisfy sexual instinct, a man or woman, masturbates. In any case, masturbation is never unhealthy or will never affect your physical or sexual health or it cannot affect your future sex life and the ability to have children. Masturbation cannot affect your growth or cause pimples or cause hair fall or cause shrinkage of penis or loss of vital nutrients or cause problems in testis size or colour etc. Masturbation cannot increase your belly fat or cause obesity. You should try to reduce the masturbation frequency to thrice a week and continue masturbation. You can be sure; there are no side effects to masturbation if you are able to restrict it to thrice a week. Jogging and physical exercise are always good to keep you fit and stop worrying about sex and allied thinking. I suggest online sex counseling and therapy. Take care.

Hello it appears that your diabetes is not in control. If diabetes is severe and uncontrolled, lot of complications can occur related nervous system, blood vessels and heart. Please get your lower limbs for extent of neuropathy then treatment can be planned. Also check your hba1c periodically.

Breast pain is a common problem if it occurs before periods, because it happens due to hormonal changes, however if the pain stays all through the month or if you can feel some lump/swelling then you may need to do ultrasound examination of breasts. Wearing a well fitting bra may help.

The next month in July doctor had done my ovulation study again all was gud egg we're also released and the size of egg was Also gud it was 22 and after that she told me to get test on 16 the Aug. hi,It must be only your periods.Soon after the miscarriage the cycles will be little bit irregular.Also just because there was good sized egg in the clean does not mean that you could have been pregnant again.please don't worry. Actuallyspeaking please wait for atleast three months to get pregnant again as your hormonal changes due to previous pregnancy should come back to normal.

The mucosal surface of the human gastrointestinal (GI) tract is colonized by 1013-14 bacteria of 400 different species and subspecies. Gastrointestinal microflora is catagorized into two types, autochthonous flora (indigenous flora) and allochthonous flora (transient flora). Autochthonous microorganisms colonize particular habitats, i.e. Physical spaces in the GI tract, whereas allochthonous microorganisms cannot colonize particular habitats except under abnormal conditions. Most pathogens are allochthonous microorganisms; nevertheless, some pathogens can be autochthonous to the ecosystem and normally live in harmony with the host, except when the system is disturbed. Our gut consists of its own environment of micro organism called gut flora. They are responsible for proper digestion of food. Once this flora is depleted by toxins released by bacteria many of G.I symptoms like bloating belching vomiting constipation loose stools etc can be there. I would suggest you to take a good probiotic for 1 week. This will again replenish the depleted flora. Once the flora is replenished intestinal motility and secretions will be improved. Tablet Pantoprazole (40 mg once daily before breakfast) can be taken along with it to provide relief. General advice- thrice daily, take two tea spoon (or one big spoon) ispagula with 200 to 300 mL water -warm water intake as much as possible - eat small meals (rich in fiber) -eat plentiful "fresh oranges" and "pear"- avoid COLD milk and yogurt and AVOID junk food (NO burger, pizza) altogether - mix few drops of lemon juice in warm water. Drink on empty stomach, early in the morning, to aid in bowel movement - avoid beverages / alcohol/ soft drinks - do some exercise (push-ups etc) early in the morning.

I am diebetic for last 12 years, despite taking oral medicine of all sorts, combi drugs, metformin, pioglitasone etc etc my fasting sugar remained at high level of 140-180 range, almost equal or more to the PP level, but recently both the level showed around 280 while the Hb1C was 8.9, which is the highest till date. What should I do?

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. If the milk intake is inadequate, infant may not pass much stools. Now a days other than breast milk nothing is to be given in first few months. It is better to consult your pediatrician. But do not give sugar water for now. Breast milk is the only nutrition for the baby. Thanks.

I will suggest you to follow up with reports for further guidance and till than I will suggest you to buy a steam inhaler machine of crescent company and Take a flow of steam (of plain water only) over the forehead through the inhaler and can repeat the process after eight hours as and when required.
