1.Prepare a mixture of powdered dried ginger root, black pepper and long pepper in equal amounts and store in an airtight container. Have ½ teaspoon of this powder mixed with honey. 2.Add one teaspoon of turmeric powder to one glass of hot water. Drink this sip by sip frequently during the day. 3.Dry roast 3-4 black raisins and add pinch of black pepper and rock salt to it. Have this 2-3 times a day for 15-20 days. 4.Drink luke warm water 3-4 a day. 5. Take 2 tab giloyghan vati twice a day/ 1 month.& swallow 2 basil leaves daily empty stomach with water 6. pour 2-2 drops of badam rogan shrin/hamdard at night just before sleep. follow up after 10 days.

Improving Immunity and taking proper diet-regimen with medicine can help in this situation. A in-person check is needed to rule out the severity - whether nasal polyp sinus related, etc you may require lab test of blood routine (to see Eosinophill rate.), x-ray as per clinical assessment. Don't neglect. In general you avoid cold, take luke warm water, nutritious food, have tulsi-golmarich-honey regularly empty stomach in little quantity.

Mastubation will not cause infertility but stop mastubation because it will lead to psychatric disturbance in near future and you have to stop watching porn video and spend quality time with your friends and family members.

Follow these best methods to easily gain weight and get a healthy body - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Yes you should dilute the mouth water with water and rinse because long term use of concentrated mouth wash will cause discolouration of the teeth.

What is Acne?

Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease of the pilo sebaceous follicles (i.e. Hair with oil producing glands attached to hair) characterized by comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules, pustules, nodules and ultimately leading to scars.

Who gets Acne?
Close to 100% of people between the ages of twelve and seventeen have at least an occasional whitehead, blackhead or pimple regardless of race or ethnicity. Acne starts between the ages of ten and fifteen years of age and usually lasts till twenty years of age; however, acne can persist into the late twenties or thirties or even beyond. Some people get acne for the first time as adults and this is known as adult acne.

What are the causes of Acne?

  • Bacteria: Bacteria that normally lives on the skin plays a role in acne development. The bacteria are known as propionibacterium acnes (p. acnes). The bacteria content can increase in people whose faces are not clean. 
  • Hormones: During the teen years increased levels of sex hormones causes the oil glands of the skin to produce increased amount of oil. These excess skin oils tend to bind with cellular debris causing a blockage and producing a fertile environment for the bacteria to grow. 
     

The bacteria causes inflammation, pus, swelling and redness. In adult acne, excessive hormones produced due to polycystic ovaries and other hormonal imbalances causing excess oil production and inflammation, which leads to acne.

What are the factors that precipitate or aggravate acne?

  • Stress- Stress is frequently implicated in aggravation of acne while acne itself induces stress. 
  • Sweat- Sweating in a hot and humid environment causes deterioration in 15% of acne patients. 
  • Menstruation- Pre menstrual flare of acne occurs in 70% of female acne patients. 
  • Friction and pressure- Friction and pressure from helmets, backpacks and tight collars can induce blackheads and papules. Pressure from face massages or facials can aggravate acne.
  • Pregnancy- Pregnancy has an unpredictable effect on acne. Pre-existing acne may aggravate or remit during pregnancy.
  • Diet- High glycemic load foods (sugar loaded and starchy foods), oily foods may aggravate acne.
  • Drugs- Oral contraceptives, anti tuberculosis medication, oral steroids, anti depressants may aggravate acne.

It is advisable to visit a board certified dermatologist for treatment of acne instead of over the counter treatment as the dermatologist treats the root cause of acne.

Dear lybrate user, the initial stages of type 2 diabetes & blood pressure are known as pre-diabetes and pre-hypertension. The most important fact one needs to keep in mind is that these are predominantly lifestyle disorders hence one needs to lead a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent these. The following tips could be useful: - Sleep well for at least 6-7 hrs everyday - Eat small meals at regular timings everyday, eat well balanced meals. Do not skip your meals. - Avoid eating outside food very frequently (once a week should be fine) - Reduce the amount of salt you take in a day, and preserved/ processed foods (pickles, papad, ready to eat meals, etc) - Avoid too much of coffee, tea, alcohol and stop smoking or taking tobacco - Exercise everyday starting with 20 mins and increasing it to 1 hr (any form like walking, running, swimming, weight training, or even a mix if fine as long as you do it consistently everyday) - Do not take stress about issues, be positive and try to be happy - In case you have a family history, regular check-ups wih your family physician is preferable Though many of these might seem difficult to follow in one go, but slowly you could adopt these measures, which will help you remain healthy and reduce the likelihood of you developing these cardiovascular disorders. Hello, this may be because of acidity/ indigestion/ gas you can take(if no drug allergy): 1. Tablet Meftal spas one tablet stat after food 2. Tablet Pantocid 40 mg before food once a day for 2-3 days. And follow care advises given below. Avoid food from outside, junk, fried, spicy fatty food take home made light food like moong dal, Dalia, chapatti also tell me associated symptoms like vomiting sensation, loose motion/ burning sensation in chest or any other symptoms are present or not? so that we can reach diagnosis. Consult physician/me for further management

Follow these simple steps to ensure a good sleep every night and stay away from sleep disorders and other health problems associated with unhealthy sleep habits: 1) maintain a regular sleep routine - try to get at least 6 to 7 hours of uninteruppted sleep at night time Go to bed at the same time. Wake up at the same time. Ideally, your schedule will remain the same (+/- 20 minutes) every Night of the week. A good sleep hygiene routine promotes healthy sleep and daytime alertness. 2) avoid sleeping during the daytime. It can disturb the normal pattern. 3) avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol near bedtime. While alcohol may speed the onset of sleep, it creates problems in he second half of sleep. 4) exercise can promote good sleep. Exercise should be taken in the morning or late afternoon. Yoga, can be done before bed to help. 5) have a quiet, comfortable bedroom. Set your bedroom thermostat at a comfortable temperature. Generally, a little cooler is better than a little warmer. Turn off the tv and other extraneous noise that may disrupt sleep. Background 'white noise' like a fan is ok. If your pets awaken you, keep them outside the bedroom. Your bedroom should be dark. Turn off bright lights. Have a comfortable mattress. 6) avoid heavy meals close to bedtime. 7) ensure adequate exposure to natural light. 8) avoid emotionally upsetting conversations and activities before trying to go to sleep. Do not think of, or bring your problems to bed. 9) stop using all your digital devices and stop looking at digital screens be it mobile phones or televisions at least 1 hour before the time you plan to sleep. Instead try reading a fiction book near bedtime so it makes you help relaxed and de-stressed. Sleep well live healthy and live longer. If you have tried all these and still have problems, please consult me for prescription medication.

That is not the sign of pregnancy. Do a urine test for pregnancy. For pain please consult your doctor to exclude any pathology. It is important as you have missed a period.

I am suffering from pain in my right shoulder from last 4 months or so. Consulted doctor about it; he told me to get a xray of shoulder and after seeing it told me that there is internal swelling in it and advice me some exercises and medicines. I consulted a physio abt it and she told me that might be my ligaments are injured. Don't know whom to consult so that I get complete relief from pain. I am not able to lift a light weight also. Help me out.

You need to consult doctor but a specialist in shoulder. Orthopaedic surgeon who is specialist in shoulder. He will evaluate you properly. Will get mri if needed. After that if physiotherapy is required, he will write down which exercises you need to do and physiotherapist will teach you those exercises.

this could well be piles or a fissure. Anal fissure improves with general measures but may require surgery. Piles of an early grade also improves with general measures. The general measures I would suggest are 1. Take lot of vegetables & fruits in your diet 2. Avoid chillies & spices 3. Take lot of fluids 4. Avoid constipation 5 periodically do anal exercises (alternately contracting & relaxing the buttocks, anal area & upper thighs) 6. Take sitz bath 3-4 times a day. This means sitting in a tub of warm water & doing anal exercises 7. Atleast once get it examined by a general surgeon.
