Common causes: is an infection or ,Cow's milk protein allergy. Infection can be because of bottle feeds due to inadequate sterilization. Also putting hands or cloth in the mouth may cause it. Hence get a stool culture test. Also give only breast feeds for 6 months. CMPA can be because of giving top feeds, even formula. It can also happen due to milk products consumption by mother who is breast feeding. Stopping cows milk in mother and child is the answer. Soya formulas may be used.

Avoid powder, strong smell (lotion, cream, antiseptics, oils) smoke, use normal saline nasal drops. Don't put oil on the head. If it continues with fever, cough, green yellow colour discharge then see a pediatrician.

Hello weight is almost ok may be your baby have dysentery, wait for 2- 3 days, isomil and temporary stopping breast milk will help in reducing amount of loose stool. But stopping beast milk in 5 month baby is not ideal head control completes by 5-6 months, delay in another 1-2 months is acceptable, please provide birth details.

Its a benign disease and spontaneous remission occurs in 60% cases. However local/oral steroids, co2 laser, are effective in selected cases.

Hello lybrate-user, congratulations on being a new parent. Firstly I would say mostly babies spit out milk in a curdled form which is quite normal. If the baby vomits after feeds then the best way out is to keep the baby upright for about 15-20 minutes after feeding the baby. This will lessen the chances of baby vomitting out the milk. Secondly your wife can eat anything and everything as that has no relation to the baby vomitting. She needs good amount of nutrition post delivery and more so while lactating so kindly do not cut down her vegetable intake but give her plenty of it and a good balanced diet.
