Hi, 8 days back I fall from a bike. I consulted with the doctor and did the proper medications. I got hurt in the fingers and toes of left foot. Till now if I give pressure on left foot while walking get hurt on the toes. But nothing have broke bones. So please suggest me some remedies.

may be your ligaments are injured just take rest and applybwarm castor oil on your foot at night before bes time and tie the foot with a cotton cloth and leave it overnight and remove the bandage next morning. repeat this for 5 nights and see the difference

Shoulder Dislocation

This is very common problem. It occurs in every 2 persons out of 10000 in an year.

In case of first dislocation because of trauma, accident or fall, main treatment is closed reduction and physiotherapy in people more than 30 years of age.

In recurrent dislocations, treatment depends upon number of dislocations, patient expectations and bone loss. Most of the cases can be done arthroscopically. It is very safe procedure. Keyhole surgery is done and very small holes are made for surgery.

This is costly treatment because implants are costly. Its preferable to use best quality implants which yield good results. If anyone gets shoulder dislocation, I would suggest you to go for Insurance policy with adequate cover without delay. This way, whenevr treatment is required, it can be done under insurance cover.

You may be suffering from Sciatic pain . Because of your lower back problem all other problems have come. Sciatic is the longest nerve starting from lower back moving along with your thigh knee up to the ankle. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Myopathy is usually a progressive disorder but sometimes it is self arrested. Do physiotherapy to prevent contractures & deformities. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Following may help inj dinabol 25 mg im weekly x 6wks. You will need other supportive medicines also. This disease does not affect the intelligence of the patient use your intelligence. You can work on computer etc. Keep your moral up.

Dear, low back pain are often referred for physical therapy for four weeks as an initial conservative (nonsurgical) treatment option before considering other more aggressive treatments, including back surgery. The goals of physical therapy are to decrease back pain, increase function, and teach the patient a maintenance program to prevent future back problems. Common forms of physical therapy include: 1.Passive physical therapy (modalities), which includes things done to the patient, such as heat application, ice packs and electrical stimulation. For example, a heating pad may be applied to warm up the muscles prior to doing exercising and stretching, and an ice pack may be used afterward to sooth the muscles and soft tissues. You are too young to suffer from cervical spondilosys. Confirm by x-rays of cervical spine ap & lat. Views no pillow under the head during sleep. Do neck & shoulder exercises. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days contact me again if need be you will need other supportive medicines also. Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi there are multiple causes for shoulder and knee pain like. Muscular, tendonitis, ligament tear etc. It will be good if you visit physiotherapist or orthopaedic doctor for diagnosis. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Please do a x-ray of cervical spine first. Take hot and cold compresses alternately for pain. Also take Rhus tox 30 and Hypericum 30 - thrice daily for next 10 days. Also have your eye-power checked once. Take good sleep.

Last 2years 6 months back I have gone through the surgery at right neck and removed tumor Schwannoma, this has come to around the sweating nerve so they cut the both end and removed and now am getting still pain.

Schawnnomas may not need treatment if they are not causing any symptoms. Surgery is sometimes needed if the tumor is pressing on a nerve causing pain or other problems. The most common treatment for neurofibrosarcomas is to remove them with surgery. Radiation therapy is often used after surgery to help decrease the risk of recurrence. May be it was not fuly removed t save the nerves. You have to review with the surgeon.

Exercises for cervicogenic headache hi dear, I hope you will fitt and fine The following exercises are commonly prescribed to patients with this condition. You should discuss the suitability of these exercises with your physiotherapist prior to beginning them. Generally, they should be performed 2 – 5 times daily and only provided they do not cause or increase symptoms. Your physiotherapist can advise when it is appropriate to begin the initial exercises and eventually progress to the intermediate and advanced exercises. As a general rule, addition of exercises or progression to more advanced exercises should take place provided there is no increase in symptoms. ________________________________________ Initial Exercises Chin Tucks Begin this exercise by sitting or standing tall with your back and neck straight, shoulders should be back slightly. Tuck your chin in as far as you can go without pain and provided you feel no more than a mild to moderate stretch (figure 4). Keep your eyes and nose facing forwards during the movement. Hold for 2 seconds and repeat 10 times provided there is no increase in symptoms. Repeat 3 – 5 times daily. (N. B In some cases it may be beneficial to perform this exercise every 1 or 2 hours provided the exercise does not cause or increase symptoms). Shoulder Blade Squeezes Begin this exercise by sitting or standing tall with your back straight. Squeeze your shoulder blades together as hard and far as possible pain-free (figure 5). Hold for 5 seconds and repeat 10 times provided there is no increase in symptoms. Repeat 3 – 5 times daily. (N. Start with physiotherapy sessions and learn exercise for spine. Don't sit on floors. Don't lift heavy things. Use lumber spine belt also. Take calcium and methylcobalamine supplement with omega3 for three months minimum.

Hi Thanks for your query and Welcome to Lybrate. I am Dr Akshay from Fortis Hospital, New Delhi. You are quite young and should not be having persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - To maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - If pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - Physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - Adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - Ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - Analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - Avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc We will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation.
