Hi sir I am having pain in my hips and pelvis and also in the inner part of thigh since 5 months. Got MRI done 2 might months ago. Report is normal. From past one month pain has increases on activity. Have been trying hot fermentation and physiotherapy, not much help.

Hello lybrate-user it's very good to be proactive to live a healthy life. It depends very much on your food intake and lifestyle. Do regular exercise. Eat less oily and spicy food. Decrease your sugar intake. Drink lots of water. Eat fruits and leafy vegetables. To keep liver healthy eat 1. Avacado that contains antioxidant glutathione. 2. Garlic contains sulfar, decrease cholesterol and inflammation. 3. Turmaric 4grapes 5spinach 6citrus fruits like oranges and lemon. For heart 1. Green leafy vegetables 2oats 3whole grains 4soy protein 5olive oil 6tomatoes 7apples 8dry fruits like almonds, pista 9red wine 10. Flax seeds 11. Fish oil capsules 12blue berries or purpule fruits 13beans and lentis canola oiloil for kidneys apples cabbage garlic onion red bell peppers.

Dear Lybrateuser, - At your age your chest pain could be due to acidity, anxiety or sedentary habit - avoid fried, spicy & junk food, also restrict intake of tea, coffee to 1-2 cups per day if you take more - chew your food well, do not skip meals, have meals on time, have 4-5 small meals including snacks rather than three large meals, have dinner 2-3 hrs before bedtime - take syrup gelusil, 2 teaspoonful there times a day half an hour after meals - have 8-10 glasses of water for proper digestion - also do regular exercise like jogging, swimming, playing a game, yoga & deep breathing to keep your body fit.

Avoid salty diet. Take sarpgandha vati twice a day. Take pranacharya diabeto capsule and shilajeet capsule 1-1 twice a day. Avoid sugar. Sweets. Potatoes. Rice. Tea. Drink bitter gourd juice. And walk for atleast 1 hr in a day. Do light exercise. And do pranayama early morning. Avoid alcohol consumption.

I'm 58 years old woman. My recent report shows that my total cholesterol is 183 while as hdl and ldl are 38 and 81 respectively. My triglyceride is 522 and vldl is 104.4. What should I do to lower triglyceride and vldl and increase ldl? I'm vegetarian and non alcoholic. My weight is 70 kgs height is 5' 6" My BP is normal. I'm not diabetic.

Dear lybrate user, cholesterol is naturally produced inside the body of every living animal. Human beings are no exception to that. But when we take mutton, chicken, yellow part of a boiled egg, ghee, butter etc we intake cholesterol from external source. This extra cholesterol from external sources increase the total cholesterol content of human body. You should always keep your cholesterol level within normal limits as high cholesterol serves as a precursor to various cardiac diseases. Avoid the aforesaid food. Walk at least 1 hour in a day without any interval. Also you can take homoeopathic mother tincture fucus vesiculosus q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water.

Yes green tea is very effective as it has antioxidant property maintaining weight, regular physical exercise/ low fat diet are basic life style modification to prevent heart attack some supplements like salmon omega 3 along with garlic heart care (from good company like nutrilite) that can be start after complete evaluation.

Hi Kundan... No doctor will say that it is not necessary.. But if she is stable and you decide not to take it then I won't oppose for that, but I will surely tell you to start homoeoapthic treatment for that.. You may give her Crataegus Q 10 drops tds in water... and other medicines can be prescribed after proper case study...so better consult if you wish to...

Can I take medicines to lower down cholesterol levels while breastfeeding. Please suggest.
Statins (cholesterol lowering medicine) are not recommended during breast feeding so unless your cholesterol levels are extremely high and in that case if you need to take medicines then avoid breastfeeding, you should discontinue cholesterol lowering medicines while you are breast feeding, instead try to exercise daily for 30 mins and bring diet control by eating a cholesterol lowering diet (consult a dietitian in detail) during this time. You can restart once you stop breastfeeding.
