Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

I am a 30 years old healthy male with no medical condition accept occasional acidity. For past few years I have issue of popping sound from my chest sternum. No pain only popping. Is this anything to worry about. From past few weeks my left shoulder (back part) aches when I wake up in the morning. Pain is severe, but subsides post I wake up. Dear Lybrate user, You should rake half glass milk and half glass soda in breakfast with fruits boiled egg. Sand witch etc. Only. No junk food no oil o spice. Before lunch you can take salad first and normal food. Sam e thing is in the dinner. Do it for one week. Avoid constipation. Also take a ginger PC. With salt in your mouth and chew it for half an hour atleast. Within a week you will feel relax. If there is any other problem, call back with detail.

I am 45 years female . I have a prob lame of urinary burn. In a gap its comes, after urine start burning, very lower abdomen is feeling uneasy and I am going to very ill for 2 to 3 hours and 2nd urine its come again. I take medicine SPORIDEX 500 CAPSULE . Uti is a chronic problem. You should take treatment minimum for 4 wks. Take plenty of liquids to flush the kidney. You should get urine c& s tested from any pathological laboratory to select the drug which is effective to you.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Try this for joint pains try this. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

Dear lybrate-user, I appreciate your care towards your mother. Frozen shoulder is a very common complication of diabetes and affects females more than males. It is because of deposition of glucose and proteins in shoulder capsule which is also called adhesive capsulitis which is seen as self limiting but painful condition which is treated by 1) good control of blood sugar 2) physiotherapy when it is not very painful 3) pain relievers, vit d and calcium. Already she has gone thru 6 months. Please be patient as she'll surely come out of it in next few days.

Hello, your knee joints are in degenerative phase. To prevent further damage to your knees, follow these advise:- 1. Walk regularly for at least 15-20 min in the morning. 2. Wear knee cap to protect your joints. 3. You have to exercise twice a day. 3. Apply ice pack after exercise perform vigorous knee exercises which i'll teach you in the next session. Dear lybrate-user. I think you have a referred pain from spine. It is unusual to have pain for so long and it will not show up locally if there is some local cause. You need detailed evaluation and imaging to come to a diagnosis. Once diagnosis is made we can treat you accordingly.

While playing cricket we throw balls but while throwing I don't feel power in that and after throwing the shoulder pains a lot for e.g. As if my should is cut down. That kind of pain. Firstly you should start with active exercises for shoulder in slow motion. Do the strengthening exercises for all your muscles of the shoulder. Then you should do stretching and make sure you gradually progress to light weights. These are resisted exercises which will help you to build up strength. Shoulder is a very important joint in the body as it can perform a lot of movements. Do not ignore the exercises make sure you do these exercises everyday at twice a day. Infact a physiotherapist can help you to to train you with the exercises because your a player you do it the right way so that you can get back onto the field soon. Important notice kindly take rest during your sessions of exercises atleast for 10 days because doing the exercises can cause a little pain and then when you go back to the feild and play and exercises the pain will not reduce. Lybrate-user you seem to be suffering from a lumbar disc problem. It sounds as if you are having a nerve compression. I would advise you to get an mri done and come here again to consult with the reports. Till then avoid any pulling or pushing activities. Avoid forward bending and sudden jerky movements and do hot fomentation of your lower back and hip areas. Homoeopathy has some excellent medicines to relieve you off the pain.

*look for back pain associated with it. If it is go for treating back pain. *look for the pattern of walk. If there is any deviation in walk then it has to be corrected. Look for movement in hip. If there is restriction of some movements in hip then it has to be eased. All the best for your dad!

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Do hot fomentation x twice daily. Postural correction- always sit with a small pillow at your low back. Sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises like bridging and bhujang asana x twice daily. Sleep on your back with a pillow under your knees. Avoid lifting any heavy weights. And get vit d levels checked.

Too much back pain. Please advise.
