With out proper examination it's difficult. Still pain means something wrong, if it unites wrong then might be pain due to compression of some structure. Consult Orthopedic. For time being do warm foamentation.

My mother is 65 years had a right hand wrist fracture of radius bone on 26 Dec 15. Her cast was removed on 27 Jan 16. The x ray shows proper reduction of the bone fracture but her hand is swollen and has pain. After removal of cast she has been taking wax heat and doing some basic hand movement exercises. Although the swelling has reduced since 27 Jan, but its not gone fully. What is the reason and remedy?

It takes lot of time. Sometimes 6 to 8 months for swelling to go. Don't worry. If x Rays are good, she will recover fine. She needs good physiotherapist now. Your orthopedic surgeon had done nice job.

You're having what is called plantar fascitis, a condition in which the fascia of the foot get inflamed and causes pain. It could also be due to e weakening of the heal bones or a raised uric acid level. I would suggest that you get your vitamin d and uric acid done fasting to know the levels. In the meantime start to wear soft sole footwear and do contrast bath both feet ie dip both feet in hot water for 3 mins and then normal water for 1 min-continue with hot and cold bath alternatively for upto 20 mins 3 times a day. Revert back with blood test reports.

L1 vertebrae fracture Hello! I am 22 years 2 months back I had an accident with an car I was on bike. I got several injuries in that accident like my was foot broken so I had operation of that doctors put k-wires in my foot and the major injury was my back. Earlier doctor did not see it but when I got x-ray of my back it was a fracture in my L1 VERTEBRAE. Doctors says that it is pressed not a major issue. So I just want to know that whether I can continue my gym with the same high intensity as I am very passionate about gym but worried a little now as since 10 weeks has been passed but still pain is there in my back. Although my doctor says that after rest I can continue gym abd make my body as I want. So I request you guys can you help me out please.

Hi lybrate-user, Sounds like a simple question but there is are some considerations, Pain level, tolerance to activity, is the surgical site stable. The list of considerations can go on and on so lets imagine we get past all of the physical limitations and now we have to start were we are and how we are. What is the state of your physical being, to start you need to identify imbalances in your physical being, you must first be assessed or assess your self, looking for muscle imbalances and postural dysfunctions and then a well planned corrective exercise program can be established. Please understand that the term "back pain exercise" is a misnomer, let me explain, you would not want to exercise your back pain would you? NO, of course not, then you must have mean what exercises should you do to strengthen my back, well guess what that may not be what you need to do to get pain either. You see regardless of your condition and with in the limitations of your surgery your main focus need to be on getting your body back to a more neutral, more balanced and more stable state in order to insure that the surgery is a success. The best way to insure that is accomplished is to address your muscle imbalances and only do very specific stretches and exercises that are appropriate for you and your current condition and the only way to know what it is that you need to be doing is to assess your body as a whole looking at your posture. Pain in chest with cardiac origin is more severe aggravate with exertion and associated with sweat and anxiety. 70 -80 heart beat is normal but if you have family history of heart disease and you doubt some heart disease in you, you should do a through checkup of your heart.

6 Simple Exercises to Stop Neck Pain Fast

1.Neck Retraction – Bring the head straight back, keeping your eyes forward then return to a neutral position.

2.Head Drop – Tip your head back as far as it can comfortably go pointing your chin toward the ceiling. Return to a neutral position.

3.Side Bend – Reach over the top of your head with your left hand and gently pull your left ear to your left shoulder. Repeat for the right side.

4.Rotation – Turn your head to the left so that your nose is over your shoulder. Return to a neutral position. Repeat on the right side.

5.Flexion – Clasp your hands behind your head and guide the head down – bringing your chin toward your the chest.

6.Shoulder Blade Pull – Bend raised arms at 90 degree angles. Relax your shoulders and squeeze the muscles between the shoulder blades.

Hello, at her age bone complains in female patient are usually seen. You can start with calcium supplements which shall help restore the ca levels and increase bone strength. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

• : Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying • Quadriceps strengthening exercises- • Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. • Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. • Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.
