Relief gels work only as a part to alleviate pain. While they may help reduce your pain for sometime they hardly work on the root cause. Being of 25 years and I am assuming that you dint have any direct injuries to the lower back, you can consult a physiotherapist for relief. The pain has been for more than 6 months as you have mentioned, so I would advice any x-ray which may helo to detect any other causes if present.

Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Stiffness might have developed due to weakness of the ligaments & inflammed cartilage. Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. Hello, Losing menopausal weight can be challenging at times and it needs lot of patience. The best thing you can do his first try and set your hormones right. Slurge in hormonal levels post pregnancy can make the weight loss sluggish. A good healthy diet with higher oestrogenic content will help you massively. Tips to improve balance/alignment/motion: lift your leg so your thigh is parallel to the ground while touching a wall. Hold it for five breaths. For alignment, move side to side while sitting on a balance ball. For motion, try moving forward and backward on the ball.

I age - 21, weight- 58 kg. I have started working out from ten days. In morning I walk and jog a distance of 2.75 km and in the evening I have a gym workout session, where I do cardio for ten minutes, where im able to now cover a distance of 1.5 km. My legs are paining from the day I started workout. But the day before it were aching a bit less, so yesterday I skipped my morning run and today when I went for the morning run, I could not jogg even 500 meters. I covered my daily schedule distance via walking. Please suggest me if this is normal or any special precautions I should take. thanks.

Dear Lybrateuser, - The basic principle of exercise is that you have to gradually increase the time & intensity of your workout - if pain is there you are harming the body by overdoing the exercises - take rest for 2-3 days or till pain subsides then again start gradually & change every 2-3 weeks - take a pain relief tablet if pain is more - apply pain relief gel three times a day - warm up by cardio & stretching for 5-10 min before starting a session & cool down after it - have a snack about half an hour before a workout like a fruit, a glass of milk with chocolate powder, nuts, a sandwich & also a protein snack after it - drink water before, during & after a workout - take advise of a physical trainer who will guide you properly for your workouts.

Sir, at your age it would be osteo-arthritis of knees. It is age related degenerative disease of bones so'generic vitamin' would be of no use. Rather than it please do regular massage over knees with any herbal pain reliever oil (lukewarm) at least two times a day followed by hot fomentation. This will increase the lubrication in the joint, your flexibilty will be improved and pain will also subside. Continue this for atleast 10 days. Avoid crossed leged sitting. Please update with your feedback.

While seating in indian style toilet I feel pain in my both legs and below knee muscles around. My leg mussels are also tight. My stomach is also get fatty and can seat only by bending front wise not straight. Sugest me proper solution?

Indian toilet is not recommended now a days because it will damage your cartilage & will cause early osteo artritis. You may be having arthritis of both knee joints so please use western toilet ,reduce weight & do regular quadriceps exercises.
