I am a diabetic since 3 months, sugar level is on higher side .now since I am on medication sugar level is controlled around 116-120 on average of last 16 random check I did. Also I have problem of less sperm motility as well ,suggest me foods that can improve my sperm quality and motility and same time is not bad for my sugar level. please suggest fruits like sweet potatoes, watermelon, avocado, sesame seeds (sesame seeds oil), and strawberries I may take or not? please guide.

Since you are worried about sperm I think you need to find cause for low motility. Get yourself checked by someone having experience in male infertility or urologist. Control your sugar and don't smoke. Rule out local cause by check. All fruits you have asked can be taken but not more than 200-250 grams. Seasame seeds in small amount can be taken. Sweet potato can be taken occasionally as it is rich in fibre so good for diabetes but take only one small helping.

Dear lybrate-user. When does fever start. And chills or rigor. Get mp_qbc and widal test done. And also cbc. If it's of viral origin it will resolve within a week. Get cold sponging and take bath. You will feel better.

Hye. No specific food causes weight loss. Even if you eat qinoa but dont pay attention to the overall diet and exercise you will not lose weight. In order to lose weight you must either eat sensibly and exercise to burn off calories. Eat as per the body's needs. Food that is not used to fuel the body is stored as fat. A major component of losing weight is to make smarter food choices. Here's how: Limit non-nutritious foods, such as: Sugar, honey, syrups and candy, pastries, donuts, pies, cakes and cookies, soft drinks, sweetened juices and alcoholic beverages Cut down on high-fat foods by: Choosing poultry, fish or lean red meat. Choosing low-fat cooking methods, such as baking, broiling, steaming, grilling and boiling. Avoiding high-fat snacks like chips and chocolate. Avoiding fried foods. Using less margarine and mayonnaise. Avoiding high-fat gravies, cream sauces and cream-based dishes. Eat a variety of foods, including: Fruit and vegetables, whole grains, breads, cereal, rice and pasta, dairy products, such as low-fat or non-fat milk or yogurt, low-fat cottage cheese and low-fat cheese, protein-rich foods like chicken, fish, dals and legumes, or beans should be included in your diet. Dear. Follow these best tips to get in shape and loose weight. * body become over weight due to deposition of fatty tissues. First you should follow diet plan for weight loss. * in morning, take 2-3 chapattis witha bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of without cream milk after 2 hour of breakfast. *in lunch you can take a bowl of soup or salad. *in evening, you can take a cup of teawith glucose biscuits. *in dinner, you can take a bowl of fruits or 2 chapattis with a bowl of vegetables. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. To reduce the tummy, * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily. * lie down on plain surface, put your hands on the back of head by folding your elbows, now move your head towads the knees try to touch your knees with forehead and then move back and lie down. Repeat it for 5-10 times daily for flat tummy. * do surya namaskar yoga everyday, as surya namaskar have 12 forms of yoga. Do it for in morning everyday to get in shape in short period. * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories.

1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity.

Hello Lybrate user May be the dosage he is taking is not sufficiant to control the post meal rise in sugars. There are specific drugs to control the postprandial rise in sugars. Consult your physician and get the dose adjusted. Take care.

Weight gain is muscle gain and not fat gain. In your condition your energy requirement is very high so whatever you eat is used as a source of energy and you do not make muscle. To gain muscles you will have to eat at least 6 meals (high calorie) in a day at a regular interval with a proper ratio of proteins and carbohydrates. Proteins will help you gain body mass while carbohydrates will help you give energy. Protein foods are eggs, fish, chicken, milk and milk products, meat and dals. Carbohydrate foods are roti and rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes. You have to eat vegetables and fruits and use healthy and good fats for cooking like ghee, cold pressed mustrad or til oil. You will also have to do some weight training exercise to help you build mass into the body. Also drink enough water to keep you hydrated. You can take weight gainers like serious mass.

It is advisable to keep sugars under control preferably between 100 to 140 mg% and hba1c values below 7% to avoid future diabetes related complications and less suffering from arthritis. Some time vit d and ca supplements also help in treating arthritis though you have not mentioned which type of arthritis.

Hi for reduced weight you should work out as per you consume calories and it will take time just continue work out. Take following remedies for loosing weight 1.arogya vardhini vati 2 tab before lunch and dinner 2. Abhayarishta 4 tsp before lunch nad dinner 3. Morning break fast=mung dal green soup 1 boul and if feel hunger have pomegranate or apple 4.lunch 2 chaati + fruit vegetable + if you like rice 1 bowl and dal + barley soup 5. Evening 4-5 pm have some milk with sunth or any fruit you like 6. Dinner barley soup 2 bowl and one fruit follow this diet you will get reduced weight.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. It is necessary to keep blood glucose levels in the recommended range for being free from long term complications of the disease. Ideally FBG should be <100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c <6.8. Therefore, your glucose level is very high. There needs to be a total re-look at the whole treatment, dietary pattern and extent of exercise. Fbs 200 mg/dl is just too high! its very improtant for you to immediately get this under control. It may lead to very critical near term and long term complications. You may feel nothing at this moment but frankly speaking your body organs especially your kidneys, eyes and nerves are undergoing daily damage which will become permanent disability very soon.

As you said you have breathing difficulty while running. So why not do a pulmonary function test to know the severity of asthma and take regular medicines if required. You might have exercise induced asthma. Kindly don't ignore your problems as weight loss will become much easier later. Eat healthy low carbs, high proteins for weight loss.
