If something doesn't suit you then you have to avoid it to take precautions so that infection doesn't happen rather than treating it because repeated stomach infections can give you permanent stomach problems which nobody wants.

coffee is worst for diabetics

coffee is worst for diabetics
coffee is worst for diabetics:

Blended coffees

Blended coffees that are laced with syrup, sugar, whipped cream, and other toppings can have as many calories and fat grams as a milkshake, making them a poor choice for those with diabetes. A 16-ounce frappuccino at starbucks, for instance, can contain 500 calories, 98 grams of carbs, and 9 grams of fat. You may consider a treat such as this" just coffee" but the blended versions can send blood glucose soaring.

Have this instead: ask for the smaller, 12-oz light or non-fat versions, which range from 60 to 200 calories, making it a much lower-calorie, lower-sugar substitute" the lighter version won't drive blood sugars sky high, especially if you take a walk afterward" ideally, black coffee is best.

I am suffering from hepatitis-b. How will I recover from this.

MBBS, DGO (cal)
General Physician,
Hepatitis b virus infection may be either acute (self-limiting) or chronic (long-standing). Persons with self-limiting infection clear the infection spontaneously within weeks to months. Children are less likely than adults to clear the infection. More than 95% of people who become infected as adults or older children will stage a full recovery and develop protective immunity to the virus. However, this drops to 30% for younger children, and only 5% of newborns that acquire the infection from their mother at birth will clear the infection. This population has a 40% lifetime risk of death from cirrhosis or hepatocellular carcinoma. Of those infected between the age of one to six, 70% will clear the infection. Hepatitis d (hdv) can occur only with a concomitant hepatitis b infection, because hdv uses the hbv surface antigen to form a capsid. Co-infection with hepatitis d increases the risk of liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. Polyarteritis nodosa is more common in people with hepatitis b infection. Besides, some may develop cirrhosis and some may have reactivation. I don't know how and when you have acquired this disease? so gave you a generalised impression. Hope you shall find answer of your question. Better talk to your doctor who is treating you.

How can I quit the habit of masturbation? Masturbation krne se kya problem hoti hai ye bhi btae.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
How can I quit the habit of masturbation? Masturbation krne se kya problem hoti hai ye bhi btae.
Masturbation is regarded as a normal, healthy sexual activity. In general, the medical community considers masturbation to be a natural and harmless expression of sexuality for both men and women. It does not cause any physical injury or harm to the body, and can be performed in moderation throughout a person's lifetime as a part of normal sexual behavior. It will not affect you or your ability to have children in the future. If you wish to reduce the frequency of masturbation: It originates from brain, due to thinking about sex. Hence: · Do not watch adult material. · Concentrate more on your studies or work. · Exercise regularly.

I'm suffering from fever since 2 days what should I do?

AUTLS, CCEDM, MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
General Physician,
I'm suffering from fever since 2 days what should I do?
Fever is not considered medically significant until body temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C). Fever serves as one of the body's natural defences against bacteria and viruses which cannot live at a higher temperatures. Also, the body's defence mechanisms seem to work more efficiently at a higher temperature -Fevers of 104 F (40 C) or higher may be dangerous and demand immediate treatments like: -Acetaminophen (dolo-650 mg) twice or thrice can be used to lower a fever . Aspirin should not be used for fever in children/ adolescents or during a viral illness. -Wear loose fitting clothes and don’t overdress. Overdressing can cause temperature to rise further. -Tepid water (85 F [30 C]) bathsmay help bring down a fever. -The body should be cooled with a wet sponge. -A fever can cause severe dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids.. Have citrus fruits, particularly Vitamin C rich ones like mausami,Amla juice etc. -Take light and easily digestible home cooked meals .avoid outside food -Wash hands frequently with soap and water especially after returning from public places or public transport. -Further therapy depends on the cause of fever like urinary infection/typhoid or malaria/dengue infection and the accompanying symptoms that need to be investigated and treated accordingly
