After having oral sex without clothes and tried taking precautions as well. But cannot say with 100% that it was with full proof protection. That being said, we had sex on 1st of July then later after 15 days my cycle was due which got missed with severe pain in abdominal. Visited local Doctor, they gave normal medicine to start periods within 2 days, which works out and I got periods in next 2 days of taking medicine. Medicine name and Details, I am not aware about. But I didn't disclose local Doctor about having oral sex on 1st of july. After when period ends, got another cycle after just 7 days of last period. And now after 24 days of LMP, I got cycle which is Normal. So this is 3rd cycle after oral sex on 1st of july. My only question is that - Is there any chance of PREGNANCY as I am getting excessive blooding than Normal. I had also done UPT which was negative in last week. I don't want to go for further Tests. But this excessive blooding and irregular in cycles makes to think whether I am pregnant? Please help! I also get pain in abdominal on and off. Thanks.

Gynaecomastia

It is nothing to feel embarrassed and ashamed having gynecomastia. It is caused due to several reasons such as hormonal imbalance, prescription of illegal drugs or excess of fat in the body.
Gynaecomastia/ pseudogynaecomastia surgery by laser liposuction and laser gland removal without scar in the chest.

Affects an estimated 40 to 60 percent of indian men. For men who feel self-conscious about their appearance, male breast-reduction surgery can help. The procedure removes fat and or glandular tissue from the breasts, and in extreme cases removes excess skin, resulting in a chest that is flatter, firmer and better contoured.

Stop feeling embarrassed about male boobs.
Gynaecomastia/ pseudogynaecomastia surgery by laser liposuction and laser gland removal without scar in the chest.

The primary #symptoms_of_gynecomastia is enlargement of the male breasts. Gynecomastia is the enlargement of glandular tissue rather than fatty tissue.
It is typically symmetrical in location with regard to the nipple and may have a rubbery or firm feel.
Gynecomastia usually occurs on both sides but can be unilateral in some cases.
The enlargement may be greater on one side even if both sides are involved.
Tenderness and sensitivity may be present, although there is typically no severe pain

Periods - Reasons Why Tracking Them Is Important!

Periods - Reasons Why Tracking Them Is Important!

Keeping track of your cycle probably doesn't sound that interesting or important, but you can benefit a lot by doing that. There are changes that your body goes through and there are specific times when you are ovulating; knowing all these would make your life a lot easier, which is only possible by tracking your period.

  1. Know about your body: Getting your period every 28 days has always been considered normal but only 15% of women get their periods on the clock. Many factors such as stress, illness, exercise etc can cause your period to delay. This is where tracking your cycle can help you finding the pattern that is specific to your body condition. During your cycle there are lots of changes happening in your body. The hormones cause a change in the fluid produced from your cervix and also lead the basal temperature of your body to increase. Monitoring these changes through tracking your cycle is known as the sympto-thermal method. By this way know about how fascinatingly your body works.
  2. Desire to get pregnantTracking your cycle will help you get pregnant. During your cycle, there is a specific time which heightens the possibility of conceiving. The fluid production from the cervix due to hormonal change is the cause of such possibility. Knowing your cycle can take out the stress from trying to get pregnant and it can also determine any abnormalities that are preventing your pregnancy.
  3. Avoid pregnancyIf you know the time when you are most likely to get pregnant through tracking, you obviously know when not to have sex if you are trying to avoid pregnancy. Using sympto-thermal method for the purpose of birth control has proven to be 99.6% effective, which is higher than birth control medications.
  4. Health benefits: You can reap a lot of health benefits by tracking your cycle. Conditions like fibroids, polycystic ovarian syndrome and endometriosis are quite common in women, which can be detected by tracking your period. If anything is wrong in your reproductive system, the cycle will indicate it. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist.

Hi lybrate-user! The best way to know whether she is pregnant or not is to get tested for pregnancy either by a home kit or by blood test at lab. Doing a urine pregnancy test at home using the kits available in market Will be easiest way to find out. All the best.

I am getting less flow during periods since 3-4 months. What could be the reason?

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
I am getting less flow during periods since 3-4 months. What could be the reason?
Less flow for this short duration of months does not warrant any tests or treatment. If they come on time even with little irregularity, more than or equal to 2 days and > or equal to 1 pad in a day then menses are normal. Sometimes hormonal changes or stress can reduce the flow of menses but it will get cured automatically.

Risk Factors for Preterm Labor: Effects on Baby and Mother!

MBBS, MS-Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Risk Factors for Preterm Labor: Effects on Baby and Mother!

A preterm labour is referred to a condition when the cervix opens up within 37 weeks of pregnancy. An ideal pregnancy lasts for a span of 40 weeks. If preterm labour is caused due to preterm contractions, the baby is born earlier. This results in serious health risks for the baby. At times it requires long intensive care for the baby to ensure no mental or physical damage happens in the long term.

What are the symptoms of pre-term labour?
While some women show evident signs of pre-term labour, some women present symptoms that are more subtle. Some unmistakable symptoms of pre-term labour include regular contractions, sense of tightness in the lower abdomen, vaginal discharge, diarrhoea, constant backache, bleeding from the vagina, watery discharge from the vagina, pain in the abdomen and abdominal cramps. One or more of these symptoms should be immediately reported to the doctor to negate the chances of any miscarriages or serious complications.

What are the risk factors?
While there are no proven risk factors of preterm labour, lots of factors have been tagged with a pre-term labour. Some of the notable ones include:

  1. Little pre-natal care
  2. Premature birth in previous pregnancies
  3. Giving birth to more than one baby at a time. This is especially applicable while giving birth to a triplet.
  4. A stressful event such as a personal loss or events related to extreme emotions
  5. Bleeding from the vagina during pregnancy
  6. Any infection of the genital tract
  7. Any complications related to the placenta, uterus and cervix
  8. Any birth defect related to the vagina
  9. Chronic health conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure
  10. Putting on weight more than the recommended level
  11. An excess of amniotic fluid
  12. Consumption of illicit drugs or smoking at a heavy rate
  13. The shorter length of the cervix than the normal one

What are the complications involved?
Most common complication of preterm birth lungs is not well developed which can lead to respiratory distress in babies. Pre-term labour cannot be stopped with any medical procedures. If pre-term labour is caused due to smoking or an infection, the same can be addressed. Any pre-term labour that eventually leads to giving birth can confront with complications such as low weight, problems related to the vision of the baby, behavioural problems and learning disabilities.

Diagnosis and tests:
A doctor will closely monitor the symptoms a woman is facing. In the case of regular contraction, a close look at the cervix helps a doctor to decide the condition of a patient. To be assured a doctor might recommend a full pelvic exam, ultrasound test, uterine monitoring, and maturity of amniocentesis. A test of the vaginal secretion further gives the doctor enough evidence about the possibility of a pre-term labour.

I'm a diabetic patient I have miscarriage on 16 th feb and how much time to again conceive So please explain me can I trying to pregnant in 1 and a half month.

I'm a diabetic patient I have miscarriage on 16 th feb and how much time to again conceive So please explain me can I...
lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. It is better to give a sufficient gap between last episode and next conception. Usually after a miscarriage periods return after 6 weeks. So if one feels healthy enough, then can try for next conception. It is better to take tablet of folic acid daily even before the conception. Therefore, you may wait for 6 weeks or if you are feeling fit and healthy even earlier you can go for that. Thanks.
