Normal count of sperm is 60-150 million. 20 million can produce a baby but chances are less. So take medicine to improve count and quality for three months and repeat the test.

I just recently discovered cunnilingus, pls tell is it safe sex, what precautions do we take before doing it.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
Cunnilingus is safe kind of sex as compared to vaginal or anal sex. Chlamydia, human papillomavirus (hpv), gonorrhea, herpes, hepatitis (multiple strains), and other sexually transmitted infections (stis/stds), can be transmitted through oral sex if the partner is infected with any one of these. But carrying these kind of diseases in a known partner is extremely rare. Risk of sti infection, however, is generally considered significantly lower for oral sex than for vaginal or anal sex, with hiv transmission considered the lowest risk with regard to oral sex.

Why Is Eating Very Fast Bad For Your Health?

M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition (Delhi University)

Why Is Eating Very Fast Bad For Your Health?
Why is eating fast bad for your health?

Are you a fast-eater? as a child most of us are told to slow down, chew the food well and only then gulp it down. Most of us have been told time and again to slow down and chew while eating. Yet, some people continue with the habit of eating fast. This might change if they knew what their speed of eating can do to their body.

Evils of eating food very fast -

1. Slows digestion - eating and swallowing fast means that the food has not been chewed properly. This delays and complicates the process of digestion. For proper digestion, the food needs to be broken down. Also, when we do not chew properly, the food that goes down the throat, is accompanied by lesser saliva, the enzymes of which are needed for the digestion to begin.

2. Can make you bloated - while eating in a hurry, chances are also there that we swallow air along without food. This makes are bloated and also gives us stomach gas.

3. Makes you eat more - to feel full, the brain and the stomach need to be at the same page to emit the signal of fullness. However, if you don't chew and just swallow, the brain-stomach coordination will break and you will end up eating more than what you need to.

4. Leads to weight gain - overeating will lead to problems like weight gain, indigestion, etc.

5. May choke you - more than thirty different muscles are required to swallow and if eating in a hurry, you increase the chance of food going down the wrong pipe, which can choke you.

Abortion with tablets is possible only till 7wk of pregnancy. Since your wife is going to come back only after 1month, that time only surgical procedure is safe.

The TORCH screen is a group of blood tests that check for several different infections in a newborn. TORCH stands for toxoplasmosis, rubella, cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex, and HIV, but it can also include other newborn infections. Sometimes the test is spelled TORCHS, where the extra "S" stands for syphilis. HSV TEST: Tests used to diagnose or screen for genital herpes include: PCR blood test: The PCR blood test can tell if you have genital herpes even if you don't have symptoms. The PCR test looks for pieces of the virus's DNA. This is the most common test used to diagnose genital herpes and is very accurate. TIFFA SCAN: TIFFA Scanning is ultrasonic visualization fetus in detail. Ultrasound is the main diagnostic tool in the prenatal detection of congenital abnormalities. SO YOU NEED NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR FETUS. Amniocentesis test for: Amniocentesis detects chromosome abnormalities, neural tube defects, and genetic disorders. Down syndrome or Trisomy 21 is the most common chromosome abnormality. Genetic disorders include disorders such as cystic fibrosis. The most common neural tube defect is spina bifida. FOR THIS YOU NEED NOT BECOME PANIC, AND BETTER FOR YOUR CHILD HEALTH. F the results of your amniocentesis are normal, your baby most likely doesn’t have genetic or chromosomal abnormalities. In the case of maturity amniocentesis, normal test results will assure you that your baby is ready to be born with a high likelihood for survival. Abnormal results may mean that your baby has a genetic problem or serious birth defect. Discuss all test results with your doctor and your partner so that you can make an informed decision about whether or not to continue your pregnancy. This is a difficult time for parents, so seek support from your loved ones, your doctor, or a support group.

Dear user. FERTILE PHASE is the phase of a female's menstrual cycle when an egg (ovule) is released from the ovaries. In humans, ovulation occurs about midway through the menstrual cycle, after the follicular phase. The few days surrounding ovulation (from approximately days 10 to 18 of a 28 day cycle), constitute the most fertile phase. So if you have ejaculatory sexual inter course from day 10 from the first day of period and to day 20, the chances of pregnancy are much more. There are many determinants of pregnancy. You should be sexually matured. Your partner should be sexually matured. The period of your partner should be in the fertile stage. Her egg and your sperm cells should healthy enough. Then her uterus should be capable to get conceived. If all these were satisfied, the pregnancy could be a result. Take care.

Facts Every Woman Should Know About Heart Disease

Facts Every Woman Should Know About Heart Disease

Heart disease doesn't affect all women in the same way and neither does it have the same warning signs as heart diseases in men. For women, heart disease is a bigger threat than breast cancer. Cardiovascular diseases also kill more women than men as the disease progresses differently in men and women. Here are a few things you should know about heart diseases.

Women have more atypical symptoms of heart attacks: The classic symptoms of heart attacks are pain in the left arm, chest pain and heart palpitations. Though women may exhibit these symptoms, they are more likely to have atypical symptoms. These include nausea, stomach aches, pain in the shoulders and upper back and extreme fatigue.

Preeclampsia and gestational diabetes can increase risks of heart disease: Even though your blood pressure may go back to normal and conditions like preeclampsia or gestational diabetes may go away post pregnancy, their effects linger on. The risk of heart disease for a woman who suffered from preeclampsia doubles while gestational diabetes can cause glucose intolerance leading to obesity or other such conditions which are risk factors for heart diseases.

Hot flashes could be a sign of heart problems: Hot flashes are usually associated with menopause but may also be a symptom of underlying heart problems. Hot flashes that occur after a exerting a strenuous effort on something can be a sign of angina in women.

Men and women do not face equal risks: Traditional risks to heart diseases such as cholesterol, obesity and high blood pressure affect both men and women but some factors such as diabetes, stress, depression and smoking affect women more than they affect men. Since women tend to lead a more sedentary lifestyle than men, a lack of exercise also affects them more than it affects men. In addition, a low level of estrogen can also increase the risk of cardiovascular conditions. This is usually seen after menopause.

Metabolic syndrome increase your risk of getting a stroke:

There are five metabolic risk factors for heart disease. If you have 3 or more of them, it is termed as metabolic syndrome. These risk factors are:

  1. A waist circumference of more than 35". This is also called abdominal obesity
  2. A triglyceride level higher than 150 mg/dL
  3. A low level of good cholesterol i.e. HDL cholesterol that is less than 50mg/dL
  4. High blood pressure
  5. High blood sugar. This could also be a sign of diabetes.

While some factors like genetics are out of our control, most of these factors can be controlled by conscious lifestyle changes. Your doctor may also prescribe medication for the same. Heart disease can occur at any time so do not take your heart for granted.
