For Pain relief try: -cool your wrists with an ice pack wrapped in a thin towel. Leave it on for about 10 minutes. You can repeat the treatment every hour or so. -Heat can also ease pain by relaxing muscles. Soak your hands and wrists in warm to hot water for 12 to 15 minutes before you go to bed each night. -Wear a splint at night. While sleeping, you may be bending your hand and wrist under your pillow, and this puts pressure on your wrist. A splint will hold your fingers in a neutral position and relieve pressure on the median nerve. You can purchase the splint in a pharmacy, but be sure to check with your physical therapist to make sure it fits properly. -consult a Physiotherapist who can suggest specific exercises depending on your particular hand or wrist condition. Some help increase a joint’s range of motion or lengthen the muscle and tendons via stretching. Other exercises strengthen muscles around a joint to generate more power or to build greater endurance.

Numbness is a not a good sign. Do regular stretching exercises for a week else consult a physio in person.

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. I would like to examine & investigate you in detail. Rule out Diabetes. Any way it may be tried, --.Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS. X 5days. --.Caldikind plus (from Mankind)1 tab OD x 5 days. --. Fomentation with warm water. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. -- .Do mild exercises for back, (Take help of a physiotherapist or visit www.drncgupta.com). Kindly make sure, there is no allergy to any of these medicines. (Contact family doctor, if needed). For emergency treatment visit nearest hospital. Do not ignore, let it not become beginning of a major problem. Do ask for a detailed treatment plan. Check your chap pal or shoes which you r wearing. Is it hard or not. There r so many reasons like old age excessive walking long standing mineral deficiency and diabetes etc. 1. You can take hot and cold water therapy. 2. Heat pad and an ice pack. 3. While taking this therapy you can add vinegar in water also.

Go for ayurveda's panchkarma therapy - we have many option for you - kati basti, localised massgae with herbal oils, localised medicated steam, pottali massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. These procedures will relax your back muscles and give strength to your nerves and muscles of back. Also start some yogic exercises - tadasana, dhanurasan, halasana along with these therapies. This will greatly help. Please avoid pushing / pulling heavy objects, long sittings, long two-wheeler drives. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking. Please update with your valuable feedback after 15 days.\

I am 26 years old man use to do gym not regularly. Some days ago I faced a neck injury during solder workout, as per medical help from internet I have followed instructions and took rest for 2 weeks. Yesterday I have resumed workout but having same problem again. Now I can't move my neck around. Please help me by providing some tips. Is this end of my workout? Am I having a spine injury? I am a civil engineer and currently posted at a site far from the city. Can't get medical treatment by professionals.

First treatment is rest. Avoid lifting weights for few more days. You can use cervical collar at work and while travelling. If possible get an xray done. Take physiotherapy and analgesics. Spinal injury unlikely but to be ruled out. If pain is severe take analgesic injection. But main treatment is rest.

Calf stretches standing calf stretch stand away from a wall and put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day.

Dear lybrate-user, back pain at this age is not common. You got this may b bec of less intake of nutritious food and straining much eg. Running heavily, lifting heavy weights etc. Kindly update. Ayurveda has excellent remedy. Thank you.

Hi lakshmi, it may be muscle injury or tendon injury. Start eyes fomentation and start taking these medicines 1. Bellis per 200 2. Ruta 200 3. Arnica 200 all three medicines, 5 -5 drps from each in half cup of water, thrice a day.

Due to long sitting hours your back muscles are getting overloaded and fatigued. Firstly make some postural adjustments. Your desktop should be at your eye level, sit straight, keep a pillow behind your lower back take breaks every 2 hrs walk and stretch your back. Apart from this exercises for your low back are necessary. Learn these from a physiotherapist.

The knee is one of the principal weight bearing joints in the body and is subject to much wear and tear in an averagely active person. If your work involves a great deal of bending or squatting, the risk of damage to the knee through overuse and/or injury is increased. Is the knee painful most of the time? A damaged cartillage, as a result of a sudden twisting or turing of the knee, may cause such symptoms, This type of injury is particularly likely in athletes or those  whose work involves repeated twisting and staining of the knee. Is your knee hot, swollen and very painful to touch? Gout, in which excess uric acid accumulates in the bloodstream and crystals to form in the joints, is a possible cause of such symptoms. Another possibility is an acute infection of the knee. Has your knee been troubling you for several months or years? Oeteoarthritis, as a result of wear and tear on the knee is a possible cause of such pain, especialy if you are over 50, or if you have regularly overused the joint at work or playing sports. Homeopathic Medicines Arnica, Bryonia,Causticum, Colchicum,Dulcamara, Kali iod, Ledum,Merc Sol, Pulsatilla,Rhustox, Ruta are according to symptoms are very effective medicines.

Long sitting and muscle strain is your problem. Tk soft pillow for back support avoid long sitting and toward bending lifting weight. Do rest and swd tens and ultrasonic therapy for 10 days after relief do spine extension exercise and avoid strain.
