Dear user, You must be able to understand Concentration, attention span, recollection and distraction. If you are able to watch a movie for two hours continuously, if you are able to play a game for an hour, then you do not have any concentration problems. You can't be attentive towards your studies because you are not interested in it. You are able to watch movie and play game because you are interested in it. Human cannot be attentive towards anything for more than 10 minutes. Then you should study in such a way that your attention is continued and make the subjects are interesting to you. Effective learning techniques should help you. Recollection depends on anxiety, stress and other physical and circumstantial factors. Distractions while studying are plentiful. You should be able to overcome distractions or avoid distractions. Please understand the above. Change your study style and attitude accordingly. Please post a private question to me and I will help you with "effective learning" techniques. Avocados, Beetroots, Blueberries, Broccoli. Celery, Coconut Oil, Dark Chocolate etc are good for improving concentration. Take care.

Hello, Lybrate user, obaesity ,being common ,now a days due to irregular life style. - can be reduced, by opting-certain natural-norms in life & taking ,meal, judiciously. * Go for a brisk walk in d morning / evening at least 10 000, steps 45 mnts to restore blood circulation to nourish d whole body. * Tk, 3/4 litres of water, free from conteminents to eliminate toxins and to regulate metabolism to burn fats cell & prevent constipation. Hi. Fitness is a combination of cardio and strength training. Maybe you could add weight training or Pilates to your regime. Do not overdo cardio since it can lead to muscle breakdown and compromise on your immunity.

Hi, avoid stress, take one egg daily in morning breakfast. Dalia. Green veg. Whole grain foods, salaad, chicken 350 gm twice a week. Protein / minerals / vitamin rich meals daily. Take lassi, drink 8 glass water daily. Fruits juice once daily. Banana, apple etc once daily. Do exercise and yoga.

Dear user as per the mentioned symptoms it serms to be upper respiratory tract infection .As you have started the course of medicines already so you are requested to continue with medicines under the observation of your doctor, along with that .She can take Tulsi leaves 21 + turmeric powder 1/4th tea spoon + cinamonum 1/4th tea spoon + zinger boil it in one cup of water for 4-5 minute and take three to four times a day. Use boils water .Stop all sweets and fried stuff. Regards.

Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need Coronoplasty (smoothen teeth edges) along with morning after meals .hexigel ointment can be applied over the ulcer area. Advance procedures can be done with laser. First reason you already explained smoking, second main reason for this is iron deficiency which leads to dehydration by ceasing mucus production, smoking also causes dryness, so keep your throat hydrated with fresh fruits with pulp like banana, guava, mango chickoo, papaya, do not take cold drinks, junk food, start with iron rich diet, honey jaggery, raisins and most imprtant in your case do not do salt water gargling, this will further dehydrate your throat.

This is due to trauma, nose bones are small and delicate bones of the body, after injury if there is a fracture in nasal bone than bleeding is definite.

Severe Menstrual Cramps - How To Get Relief From It?

A menstrual cramp is something which every woman complains of for a day or two every month. Menstrual cramps are usually the pains felt in the lower abdomen, which can occur both before and during a woman's menstrual period. These cramps are caused by a hormone called prostaglandin that causes the uterine muscles to contract during menstruation. When the uterus contracts to shed its natural lining during your period it releases a hormone called prostaglandins which causes pain and inflammation. So higher the level of prostaglandins more severe the menstrual cramps.

It might be just a minor discomfort for some, but for others it can be severe. The symptoms of menstrual cramps include pain in the abdomen, pressure in the abdomen and pain in the hips, lower back, and inner thighs as well. However, if the cramps are severe you might have an upset stomach, loose stools and vomiting too.

Three out of four women experience menstrual pains and every one out of 10 women experiences severe cramps. Here are few remedies that might help in relieving the pain:

  1. Exercise, brisk walking or any type of physical activity can help to ease your belly pain as by being physically active your body pumps more blood, which helps in releasing endorphins to counteract the prostaglandins and reduce your cramps.
  2. Apply heat on the lower abdomen or the area where you feel the pain as it helps to relax the contracting muscles in your uterus.
  3. Improve your diet by reducing fat and increasing vegetables. However, avoid foods that contain caffeine and salt.
  4. Take a warm bath as it may also provide some relief.
  5. Add ginger in your food as it helps in lowering the levels of the pain-causing prostaglandins.
  6. Drink chamomile tea at least three times a day.
  7. Take fish oil supplements, vitamin B1 or both.
  8. Make sure to get enough vitamin D.
  9. Have an orgasm as it releases endorphins which has a pain-relieving effect and helps in boosting your mood as well.
  10. Include more dietary magnesium such as dry almonds and boiled spinach as it helps to ease the pain of cramps.
  11. Acupuncture also has an anti-inflammatory effect.
  12. Take a safe painkiller to reduce pain.
  13. Birth control pills may help relieve painful cramps, but they do come with side effects which may include spotting, breast tenderness, nausea and low sex drive.
  14. Refrain yourself from smoking and drinking alcohol.
  15. Finally, have appropriate rest.

Note: If you still do not get any relief despite trying some of these options then you must visit your doctor to rule out more serious health issues as the menstrual cramps are sometimes caused or worsened by other conditions and any sort of medications for such cramps are to be taken after consulting a Gynaecologist.

Hello, the reason could be sweating in the area which causes itching (if there is no eruptions, redness), so can use homoeopathic bakson's boro calendula talcum powder over it as it is medicated and good for skin. After using the powder, give yourself feedback.

Candida Skin Infection - How It Can Be Managed?

Fungal infection of the skin and mucous membranes is very common. The most common species of fungus causing these infections is Candida albicans. They are present in abundance in the skin and mucous membranes and have a protective function. However, when immunity is compromised, these grow to a significant number and infection results. Some of the most common candida infections and ways to manage them are outlined below.

Athlete’s foot, nail fungal infections, diaper rash, jock itch, oral thrush, and vaginal yeast infections are the most common candida skin infections. Though they can occur anywhere, they are most common in the intertriginous areas, where two skins come in close contact, like the groin area, the armpits, the corners of the mouth, area between the toes and between the fingers. Sweat and mucous facilitate their growth further, as they provide a moist environment for their growth.

In addition, poor hygiene, hot/humid weather, and constricting clothing can lead to increased chances of developing candida infections. Patient conditions like obesity, infants, diabetics, hypothyroidism, inflammatory disorders, pregnancy, damp weather, and immunosuppressed conditions like AIDs are definite risk factors. Identifying the infection is the biggest step towards treatment. There could be rashes, patches, flaking, cracks, soreness, and erythema, white or red lesions in the mouth or genital area.

Management:

A little precaution can help in preventing infections and there are definitely ways to treat the condition also.
If someone is immunosuppressed or has other predisposing factors, it is advisable to take precautions as listed below to avoid candida infections.

  1. Keep the intertriginous areas clean, could be by bathing more frequently or using sponge baths
  2. Wear loose clothing so the skin in the areas like groynes and armpits are not irritated
  3. Diaper skin management
  4. Keep the toenails and feet area clean
  5. During pregnancy, wear loose clothing and dry thoroughly after showers to avoid infection
  6. Frequently change inner garments and socks
  7. During warm weather, wear open-toed footwear so there is adequate aeration
  8. Take supplements like multivitamins to maintain good immunity levels

Treatment:

While treatment of one-off candida infections is not uncommon, people who are prone to recurrent infections need more stringent management. In one off infections, topical anti fungal agents like lotions, powder, ointments or creams are sufficient. These could contain anti fungal agents like ketoconazole or fluconazole. It is important that these stay in touch with the skin surface for about 10 to 15 minutes.

In moderately severe infections, a course of oral anti fungal agent is used, sometimes for up to 2 weeks depending on the severity of the symptoms. IV anti fungal agents may be used in more severe and widespread cases like seen in AIDS patients. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Dermatologist.
