You can continue with omega-3 capsules. This problem is not related to diabetes. It could be OA knee which can be confirmed with X-ray of the knee joint.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi.
My guess is that you will require a clinical evaluation and ultrasound, you should consult a gynaecologist initially followed by a general surgeon if required.
You will probably have to visit a specialist doctor for this but this should not make you sad in any way because diagnosis and management can be done. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Health Query
Hi
Thanks for your query and welcome to Lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from Fortis hospital, New Delhi.
You are very young to actually have persistent back pains.
If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks:
- To maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping
- If pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you
- Physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home
- Adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body
- Ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home
- Analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available.
- Avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc
We will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol.
If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.
Thanks & Regards

Heel pain as in your situation is most likely due to plantar fascitis.
In Plantar fascitis there is inflammation of the fascia at undersurface of heel and sole.
Treatment mostly is conservative and lifestyle modifications to achieve maximum functionality with minimum pain.
Follow these lifestyle changes religiously to get benefit.
1. Reduce body weight if you are obese, as obesity will aggravate the stress on heel.
2. Avoid exercises like running / walking on hard surfaces. Stop such activities when you start developing pain.
3. Roll your feet on bottle of cold water for 20 mins 4 times a day or can apply ice pack.
4. Use shoes with silicone sole inserts.
5. Do calf muscle and heel stretches daily.
6. Avoid prolonged standing or sitting.
7. Use night splint to keep foot flexed at night. Stop using it once pain is relieved.
8. Use analgesics like Ibuprofen for decreasing pain and inflammation.
With above measures you will have relief, If problem persists you can get injection at plantar fascia.
With proper lifestyle changes as above
90 % patients have relief and functionality. Only 10% patients would require surgical intervention like plantar fascia release or gastrocnemius recession.

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket.
And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only.
This will definitely help you.
* gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief.
* surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do.
* in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

Your left vestibular apparatus which helps in maintaining equillibrium and posture when neck movements occur, seems to be at fault. There is misplacement of Calcium particles in the semi circular canals of this apparatus. You may need a special maneuver, called Epley maneuver to be done on your neck. This will need help of another person who understands this properly and then employs it exactly as directed. You may see this on YouTube by typing Epley maneuver in search and the follow the maneuver for Left side problem. See it many times, study the steps and then do it with assistance of another person.
