HI, I am a sugar patient what are precautions should be taken to reduce sugar and have a little chest pain some times.
Hello, Thanks for the query. Following are the precautions to be taken by a person with diabetes: 1) First and foremost is to take prescribed medications in the specific manner, without fail. 2) Take a planned restricted diet, that provides exact amount of calories as needed. In your case the total caloric intake has to be about 1120 calories, as your ideal body weight has to be about 55 kgs. With a BMI of 27.91 kgs/Sq meter, you have an excess of 12 kgs. 3) Avoid sweets, deep fried foods, foods made of maida, bakery items, pastries, junk foods and colas. 4) Increase the intake of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Also use whole grain flour for roti and chapati. 5) Exercise for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour every day. The more you do better it is. Brisk walking is one of the easiest exercise. 6) Refrain from alcohol and smoking. Thanks.

I have Diabetes. Fpg 250 ppg 400. I have been on homeopathy. How should I continue?

I have Diabetes. Fpg 250 ppg 400. I have been on homeopathy. How should I continue?
Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. In diabetes, homeopathy treatment does not help in controlling blood glucose. Continuing that treatment is a waste of time, money and effort. It is quite vible from your blood glucose levels. Fasting 250 mg & PP 400 mg levels are too high, suggesting totally uncontrolled diabetes. With this you are likely to get the long term complications of diabetes much earlier. Best is to start appropriate modern medicine drugs along with diet control and regular execise. So if you are interested, please come back with following details: Current fasting, Pp glucose levels, HbA1c%, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise being done, weight and height. It is better if you come in a private conversation (paid consultation) then I can give specific guidelines plus even prescriptions. In this communication we are supposed to give general guidelines and no drugs can be prescribed. Or else consult a good diabetologist locally, and start the treatment. Because achieving early control is a must. Thanks.

If a non diabetic tested for blood sugar fasting & the result shows 110.2. Now the person is diabetic?

Dear Lybrate User Fenugreek helps in Diabetes control but not that you eat food that are not good and then take Methi seed powder and it will reduce your sugar. That is not correct. You can have a very small sweet quarter of a brownie once in a month. But this should not be the trend followed.
