Please send an iopa (xray ) of the tooth for detailed and correct diagnosis, yes the tooth can be re-root canal treated for optimal health of the tooth, if the tooth is badly broken and mobile, it can be extracted.

I have severe head pressure and have slightly wisdom tooth pain too. Is my head pressure due to this? Can some tooth pain n infection leads to this?

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
I have severe head pressure and have slightly wisdom tooth pain too. Is my head pressure due to this? Can some tooth ...
Wisdom teeth can erupt anywhere between the age of 17 years and the mid-20s. It is usually accompanied by pain, sensitivity, and discomfort in chewing food. The pain also may radiate to head, neck and ear. For transient relief, you can go for pain killers and any antibacterial mouthwash, to keep the area clean, which may be difficult to clean otherwise with a toothbrush. Permanent treatment usually involves either removal of the gum tissue covering the wisdom tooth (if it is present in your case), or extraction of the tooth. Extraction will not cause you any problem with eating food, and it doesn’t need to be replaced, unlike other teeth. I suggest that you consult me privately on Lybrate. In private/video consultation, looking at the exact condition, I will be in a better position to solve your query, and prescribe appropriate medication.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (full mouth x-ray) & clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Dirt on our teeth should be cleaned continuously or not, what is the period for cleaning teeth?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Dirt on our teeth should be cleaned continuously or not, what is the period for cleaning teeth?
All individuals requires scaling (cleaning) to be done atleast once in 6 months to maintain our oral hygiene clean. Our toothbrush is not much finely designed to clean all the plaque and calculi in the interdental areas of the teeth, which is the area where most of the calculus accumulate much and has to be removed regularly using scalers by the dentist.

Tooth ache should not be taken lightly. It might mimick some other condition also. So please tell the nature of pain and when does it start and when does it end. Does it linger, does cil food or hot food affect the type of pain or does any hard food precipitate it. Do inform us. If possible just upload the pic of the tooth.

Toothpastes wont help you too much. Ultrasonic teeth cleaning and polishing by dentist will remove all the yellow stains on your teeth. If you want dazzling right white teeth, then opt for dental bleaching procedure.

I've got bad breath. What should I do?

BDS
Dentist,
Bad breadth occurs due to many reasons. In most cases, it is due to plaque or calculus, tartar over your teeth and gum line, you should check if there is any yellowish or grayish layers around the teeth especially near gum area. For the proper diagnosis of the reason, you should consult a dentist near by and take a deep cleaning of your teeth, it should be done at least once per year. However there may be some other reasons for bad breath like lack of saliva, blood impurities, cavities or decayed teeth etc. Brush twice properly, use mouthwash, properly clean your tongue, gargling after eating especially after eating sticky or sugary food or drinks will help you reducing it, but to get it diagnosed the proper reason for bad breath is necessary and for that consult a nearby dentist.
