I am a 50 year old lady. Recently I fhave started to feel tired in my legs and feet randomly, my feet ache and I feel like stretching my legs and twisting feet. Also at times I feel pain in my thiighs and also sense i cold in my feet. I feel better with some oil massage. What is the reason for such and how it can be cured. I have got checked bone density and results were normal (as -2) please guide for a proper diagnosis and treatment,

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Consult after 5 days.

I am 23 years old I have backpain since last 3 year. I have take medicine but pain don't reduce please tell what shell I do?

. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily .Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. .Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana ? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi Can you tell me whether you have sustained any injury to the affected elbow? also apart from swelling, is there any skin redness, local warmth, fever etc also? please send me a clinical picture of the affected part and please get blood tests done empty stomach especially if there is no h/o and injury to the affected shoulder: cbc, esr, crp, serum uric acid.

My right foot was fractured beneath the ankle. Consulted a doctor and he plastered POP. It's been 25 days and I'm taking complete rest, pain is gradually decreasing. Question is I have a commitment to go for trekking in next month. Is this good idea to go for trekking with two months old fractured foot? I heard "a fractured bone takes 3 to 4 months to heal completely" is it true?

Hi... Body doesnt heal according to your commitments. Once fracture is radiologically healed, then you will have to undergo few rounds of physiotherapy to restore your strength and mobility. Only then you will be able to do all trecking and other activities. Please be patient till eveything sets.

I have pain in my knees and facing very much trouble in waking climbing stairs can you help me.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hi, since your taking us for 6 session and there is no relief I would like to tell u dat d origin of the pain can b something else. In any orthopedic conditions der can be problem in one part of your body and referred pain to some other part of your body which is very common in heel and wrist. I wud like to tell u to visit any McKenzie therapist in your area to find d root cause of the pain. Once d root cause is found out your prob can get solved completely.

I am 73. Suffering from knee pain for about one year. Do exercise regularly. No extreme pain. Feel pain mainly when climb stairs up and down. Do not use pain killer. Now on no medication for knee pain. Medicines I take for other reasons--Cilacar T, Deplatt75, Atorva5, Rabemac20, Eltroxin75.

you should avoid sitting on the floor and squatting. If there is pain then you can try simple analgesics after discussing with your family physician. walking aids like a cane helps too

Hi back pain usually occurs due to prolonged sitting in a bad posture hence the pressure on the back increases and you get back pain as your muscle don't support any undue pressure so for this now you can start with a hot packs for ten minutes twice a day and also start strengthening your core muscles.

Try few things for your back pain: - Apply Ice and Heat Heating pads and cold packs can comfort tender trunks. Most doctors recommend using ice for the first 48 hours after an injury -- particularly if there is swelling — and then switching to heat. You can use whichever you find comforting as long as your skin is protected. - Limit Bed Rest Studies show that people with short-term low-back pain who rest feel more pain and have a harder time with daily tasks than those who stay active. -Keep Exercising Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful. But remember to move in moderation, Stay away from strenuous activities like gardening and avoid whatever motion caused the pain in the first place. -Maintain Good Posture most people have poor posture when going about their daily activities, putting unnecessary strain on their backs. -Strengthen Your Core Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. If the abdominals are weak, other areas must pick up the slack. When we strengthen the abdominals, it often reduces the strain on the lower back. - Improve Flexibility Too much tension and tightness can cause back pain. By increasing flexibility you need to put an equal load throughout the body from the feet all the way up to the head. -Sleep the Right Way The amount of rest you get is important, and so is the position you get it in. Sleeping in a bad position or on a mattress without support can cause back pain. Back sleepers should put pillows under their knees. Side sleepers should place pillows between their knees to keep their spine in a neutral position. Stomach sleeping causes the neck and head to twist and can put undue stress on the back. -Use Relaxation Techniques Research shows that practices such as meditation, deep breathing and yoga, which help put the mind at rest, can do wonders for the back. -See a Specialist Developing an individualized exercise plan is essential to managing chronic back pain. Hi i'm 33 years guy n last 1 n half year i'm suffering from heavy pain in legs, knees, ankles, foot fingers and hand fingers. I visited rhematologist n did several blood tests. Found vit d is low upto 8. I took some medicine but no improvement than I took vit d injections. Around 10 injections I took but still no cure. My routine life getting collapsed n energy level dropped. All days just wish to sleep n rest. Along with this pain I already have lower back ache since few years. Please suggest.

My advise for you: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

I am 26 years old male and been suffering from lower back ache, whenever I get up in the morning I am not able to bend down and my lower back start to pain. That's not it this is happening since 3-4 months and the pain does stay till the time I am in bed. I cannot sit for a longer time on a normal chair too. Not able to bend down in the forward direction as the pain just hits me badly an nor can I sleep well. Hello backache can be due to incorrect posture. First try to correct your posture. If you need to go on long drives than try to take breaks in between. You can also do some stretching exercises and yoga to strengthen your back muscles. Alternate hot and cold fomentation can also be done. If the pain persist even after taking the above management, than go for back xray and consult me afterwards.
