First of all you have to check your pregnancy test by your urine. There are maximum chances of getting pregnant in the mid cycle days of menstrual cycle. If your cycle is of 28 days (1st day to be counted on the day menstrual flow starts) the 14 th day bears the maximum chances of getting pregnant. On the both sides of 14 th day chances of conceiving gradually decreases with minimum chance (not zero) near 1st & 28 th day of cycle. If you want more details then consult me. Have a nice day. Good luck.

Kidney D/s and Homoeopathy

MD - Homeopathy, BHMS
Homeopath, Palakkad

Kidney disease also known as renal disease, is a progressive loss of renal function due to which the ability of kidney to remove wastes, concentrate urine and conserve electrolytes is failed over a period of months or years. The symptoms of worsening kidney function are unspecific, and might include feeling generally unwell and experiencing a reduced appetite. Often, chronic kidney disease is diagnosed as a result of screening of people known to be at risk of kidney problems, such as those with high blood pressure or diabetes and those with a blood relative with chronic kidney disease. Chronic kidney disease may also be identified when it leads to one of its recognized complications, such as cardiovascular disease, anemia or pericarditis.

Lab investigation
Chronic kidney disease is identified by a blood test for creatinine. Higher levels of creatinine indicate a falling glomerular filtration rate (rate at which the kidneys filter blood) and as a result a decreased capability of the kidneys to excrete waste products. Creatinine levels may be normal in the early stages of ckd, and the condition is discovered if urinalysis (testing of a urine sample) shows that the kidney is allowing the loss of protein or red blood cells into the urine. To fully investigate the underlying cause of kidney damage, various forms of medical imaging, blood tests and often renal biopsy (removing a small sample of kidney tissue) are employed to find out if there is a reversible cause for the kidney malfunction.

Causes
The most common causes of ckd are diabetic nephropathy, hypertension, and glomerulonephritis.

Classification
Recent professional guidelines classify the severity of chronic kidney disease in five stages, with stage 1 being the mildest and usually causing few symptoms and stage 5 being a severe illness with poor life expectancy if untreated. Stage 5 ckd is also called established chronic kidney disease and is synonymous with the now outdated terms end-stage renal disease (esrd), chronic kidney failure (ckf) or chronic renal failure (crf)

Kidney disease also classified according to the part of the renal anatomy that is involved, as:

-vascular, includes large vessel disease such as bilateral renal artery stenosis and small vessel disease such as ischemic nephropathy, hemolytic-uremic syndrome and vasculitis
-glomerular, comprising a diverse group and subclassified into

1. Primary glomerular disease such as focal segmental glomerulosclerosis and iga nephritis
2. Secondary glomerular disease such as diabetic nephropathy and lupus nephritis

-tubulointerstitial including polycystic kidney disease, drug and toxin-induced chronic tubulointerstitial nephritis and reflux nephropathy.

Hello, a burning kind of pain is often related to nerves, but there are many other potential causes. Injuries, natural wear and tear, infections, and autoimmune disorders all have the potential to cause nerve damage and pain. So, better to visit a neurologist for further guidance. For irregular menses, take pulsatilla 30/ thrice daily for 4 weeks.

Its normal in pregnancy if you had previous normal deliveries or abortions in past or cervical erosion is present. Better get yourself examined by gynae n get usg done to rule out cervical incompetence which could cause mid term abortion or pre term labour.

Miracles of water therapy

Several chronic diseases for which no cure has been found, can be cured by a simple method called water therapy. The japanese sickness association confirms that several diseases such as headache, hypertension, obesity, diabetes, arthritis, rheumatism, sinusitis, rhinitis, bronchitis, bronchial asthma, hyperacidity, gastritis, dysentry, constipation, irregular mensuration, urogenital problems etc can be cured by water therapy.

Though it sounds incredible, it has been proved factual and is recommended by several doctors as well. Human health depends mainly on the digestive system.
Drinking ordinary potable water helps clean the gastrointestinal tract and the blood, thereby remove toxins from the body. Thus many of the ailments are cured by practising water therapy.

How to practise?
The method of water therapy is simple, easy and inexpensive. Early in the morning, before attending to any of the morning chores, 5 glasses of water should be taken at one stretch. You may give a short break. Do spot walking for a few minutes and then drink rest of the water. Take necessary precaution against impurities of water. Water should be boiled and cooled if purity is suspected.

For the next 45 minutes to one hour after drinking water, no other beverage or eatable should be taken. After supper one should not have any stimulating beverage or a soft drink.

During the first few days of therapy, one may pass urine 3-4 times within one hour after drinking water. Some may have even loose stools. But in a short period everything comes back to normalcy and symptoms of relief from the disease will be seen.

Person suffering from arthritis and rheumatism should take water therapy three times a day in the first week and thereafter may practise it once in a day. While practising water therapy, water should be taken two hours after meal and not before that.

Breastfeeding Your Child

Exclusive breastfeeding should be a rule for a baby till completed 6 months of age.
This means the child should be provided only breast milk for hunger and thirst till that age.

The only exception is medicines and supplements prescribed by child specialist.

If the mother feels child's requirement is not fulfilled, the opinion of doctors should be taken immediately.

Diabetes in Pregnant women

Diabetes in Pregnant women

The incidence of gestational diabetes is on the rise. At present 10 to 17 percent of pregnant women are developing diabetes during pregnancy. The chances of this are more if the woman is obese or if she had gestational diabetes in her previous pregnancy or a big baby earlier or if there is a family history mother father or siblings of diabetes.

This can be prevented to a great extent if a woman has a healthy lifestyle. Exercising regularly and maintaining body weight before and during pregnancy will minimise the risks of having diabetes in pregnancy.
