I want to improve my eyesight. Can you suggest some way. Is is possible to get rid of specs.

Fellowship in Comprehensive Ophthalmology, DOMS
Ophthalmologist, Sangrur
There is no medication or food for improving eyesight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is now 26 years so your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. As you are not comfortable with contact lens then go for lasik. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

Im saran kedhar I have been reading for last 6 hrs my eyes are paining alot and i cant concentrate forther.

Eye strain, or asthenopia, is when the eyes get tired from excessive or intense use. It can be annoying, but it tends to disappear with rest. Although it’s not often a serious condition, eye strain could be a symptom of an underlying problem. Eye strain is known to cause fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and headaches The first thing you can do is change your environment and work habits. By doing this you can relieve the pain without spending money on treatment. If you work on the computer, try taking more eye breaks by looking down the hall or out the window, or by closing your eyes for thirty seconds. You should get your eyes checked at least once a year, especially as you grow older. Routine eye exams give you the opportunity to discuss with your Eye Specialist any issues you may be having, and they may enable you to catch any problems in their early stages. Homoeopathic medicine CINELUBE EYEDROPS ( HAPDCO) 3 times daily.

Early in the morning when I woke up my eyes are red for just an hour. What might be the reason?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

Eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye (sclera) become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: • Eye dryness • Dust or other particles in the eye • Allergies Homoeopathic medicine EUPHRASIA 30 ( Dr Reckeweg) Drink 2 drops direct on tongue every 2-3 hrly EUPHRASIA EYEDROPS ( SBL ) pour into eyes 1-2 drops 3 times daily If no relief within 2 days, please cosult an Eye specialist for physical examination. •

There are charitable hospitals with experienced doctos who can do squint surgery for you. If you are willing for surgery then there are possible centres where you can get operated at minimal costs like bmc hospitals.

Hello. Get your eyes tested first and let me know the report, will guide you accordingly. Meantime, Include the following for getting better vision: Vitamins A, C, E, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic and onions. Blueberries, grapes as they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. DHA is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel. Exercises for eyes: Warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. Roll your eyes. Start by looking up and then slowly circle 10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise. Focus. Hold a pen at arm's length, focus your eyes on it, and slowly bring the pen closer until it's about 6 inches away from your nose. Then slowly move it back, keeping your eyes focused on the pen, 10 times in all. Massage your temples. Using your thumb knuckles, massage your temples in small circles, 20 times in one direction and 20 in the other. Repeat the same actions above the mid-point of the eyebrows at the forehead, then below the eyes on both sides of the bridge of the nose. Take a mini-nap. Put your head back, close your eyes, and relax for 3 minutes. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids.

Hello. Eye redness is most often due to swollen or dilated blood vessels. This makes the surface of the eye look red. There are many causes of a red eye or eyes like infection, allergy. Foreign body in eyes. Some are medical emergencies and some are a cause for concern, but not an emergency. Others are nothing to worry about. Consult your local eye specilist to see what is the cause.

Hi I am 30 year age person and I found lightly white layer around my cornea I show it to the eye specialist he diagnosed me as a case of arcus juvenile and he told me to go for a lipid profile. So what to do now and what type of dietary modification required. What should I do in next step.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi. Arcus juvelinis or senilis is a circular ring in the periphery of cornea. It is made up of cholesterol deposits. The prevalence of arcus increases with growing age both in men and women. The peripheral corneal opaque ring is also common finding in people who smoke or have high blood pressure since many years. As the ring is formed of crystals of lipid deposits, formation of arcus senilis in people under the age of 40 may be an indication of hyperlipidemia. Although the condition does not disrupt vision, the ring has medical significance if it is present in people below the age of 40. So, get the blood tests for Lipid Profile (cholesterol and triglyceride) to rule out hypercholesteremia. Treatment: As such no treatment is required as it doesn’t affect the vision, but treatment for increased serum cholesterol is needed like Cholesterinum 30/ thrice a day. In homoeopathy, there are few medicines like Cocculus, Mercurius, Kali bich. Pulsatilla, Sulpbur can be given.

While using smart phone eyes are getting some pain even within few minutes. What to do to control burning of eyes.

FPRS, DNB Ophtalmology
Ophthalmologist, Pune
Here are seven super quick and easy ways to give your eyes a break during your all those smartphone marathon sessions. 1. Blink, blink and blink again. Blinking often (and for more than a second) keeps your eyes moist and reduces dryness and irritation. We tend blink about a third less than we normally would when we stare at our smartphone screens, which starves our poor peepers of protective tears. Keep your eyes wet by blinking about 10 times every 20 minutes or so and you should be good to go. 2. Minimize glare. Unless you have a smartphone equipped with anti-glare Corning Gorilla Glass or use a matte screen protector film, you’re probably coping with a fair amount of annoying reflective glare. 3. Take breaks. Follow 20-20-20 rule. The concept is to take a break from looking at your screen every 20 minutes for 20 seconds while looking at something 20 feet away. Doing so relaxes your eye muscles 4. Adjust your brightness. Having your screen too bright or too dark stresses your eyes out and can cause problems maintaining focus. To eliminate either issue in about a matter of seconds, simply go into your smartphone settings and adjust your screen brightness so it’s about the same as the light level in the environment around you 5. Tweak your text size and contrast. Adjusting your smartphone text contrast and size also provides a little much-needed relief. 6. Keep a clean screen. Routinely wipe down your smartphone screen with a dry (not wet!) cleaning cloth to remove distracting dust, grime, smudges and fingerprints. 7. Hold your smartphone farther away. Try holding yours at least 16 to 18 inches away from your eyes to give your eyes a break.

I suffering from headache from 2 days I sometimes feel uncomfortable and am unable to breathe Its like my eyes are burning and I sometimes see light spots and have trouble seeing I took some antibiotics But the headache just won't go.

DNB Ophtalmology, MS - Ophthalmology, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Delhi
If your headache is not resolving. Its best to see a physician or a neurologist. Antibiotics should be used 9nly for infections when prescribed by a doctor- else you can later develop drug resistant infections which r really difficult to control. Antibiotics have no role in treatment of headache unless it is cause by an infection eg you have severe urti n fever associated with headache. Seeing light spots, bright lights or colorful lights are called visual phenomena n are sometimes part of migraine. Per se no treatment is required for them.

unfortunately there are no natural medications to remove spectacles permanently. you can either try contact lenses or plan for refractive lasik laser surgery.. but your number is also very less for lasik surgery, so just wear your glasses or contact lnes
