Heart muscles have lots of blood vessels lying low and they are called collaterals, they open up and start functioning to increase the blood flow to heart in case one or more of the vessels is blocked partially but there are no symptoms of angina/ heart attack. Natural ways are moderate exercise, no smoking, no exposure to pollution, fresh oxygen through plants, less stress and as I can read, you are taking a heart protective medicine called beta blocker, this too relaxes blood vessels of heart to increase blood supply. Continue all of the above but do get checked for blockages.

Dear Lybrateuser, -Your dad should not undergo stress, emotional disturbance & physical strain -get his bp, blood sugar, cholesterol, ecg, tmt, echo done to see if there is any heart problem -in the meantime he should have a well balanced diet with more of fruits & vegetables, beans, legumes, nuts, which provide fibre & other essential nutrients to the body -he should do walking for 20-30 min, yoga, meditation & deep breathing for good oxygen circulation in the body -also to reduce stress he can read, listen to music, follow a hobby, socialize with friends -should get good sleep for 6-7 hrs at night.

Initially, when you start any exercise program after a long gap, you will have aches and pains because those muscles that have remained passive for some time are suddenly being strained and therefore they will feel the pain for some time. But if you persist with a lower intensity until the pain eases up, you will find it better over time. Congratulations on your decision and keep it up under any circumstances.

Get an ECG and Trop i done. If any positive consult a cardiologist . If chest pain related to exersion then idealy you should go for CAG to know status of coronary artery. You can add monotrate 20 mg once/day and se response ,if not intersted in any intervention.

Only way to improve your hdl (good cholesterol) is by doing regular exercise & by following a stict low salt/fat diet. Avoid spicy, greasy, heavily salted preserved food. Tab niacin, antioxidants, grape seed extracts & resveratrol, omega 3 fatty acids have some value in increasing good cholesterol.

Hi, practice yoga and meditation. Although you could technically consider yoga your daily exercise, practicing the deep stretches and slow body movements will help you to clear your mind. Meditating - clearing your mind - while practicing gentle yoga will give double the relaxation effect to ease your stress. Use guided imagery to imagine a place that makes you feel at peace. Imagine somewhere that you feel happy; focus on the details to fully remove your mind from the present. Do yoga alone or in a group setting to help you learn new poses. As you advance in your yoga, you will be able to form complex stretches that force you to focus and take your mind off your stress. Practice deep relaxation by doing progressive muscle relaxation. This is when you work through your body by tensing your muscles, holding the tension for ten seconds, and then releasing it. This will soften and relieve all the muscles in your body. Exercise more. To help lower your blood pressure, you should incorporate more exercise into your daily routine. You can try both aerobic exercises such as walking, jogging, or swimming and resistance or strength training. The american heart association recommends that for overall cardiovascular health, adults get at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity activity at least 5 days per week for a total of 150 minutes. You can also get at least 25 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity at least 3 days per week for a total of 75 minutes and moderate- to high-intensity muscle-strengthening activity at least 2 days per week. If you feel that this is more than you can manage, the aha insist that you do as much as you can to start. Any activity is better than no activity. Do your best to get as much exercise as you can. High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress,take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. Garlic,. Cod liver oil. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

1.For your age pain chest could be due to anxiety, stress, Physical and mental strain,hyper acidity, muscular problem 2. Avoid stress and strain 3.Do regular exercise, reduce your weight if over weight. 4.Control your diet. Avoid oily/spicy/fried and junk food,high calorie and cholesterol rich diet.Take small frequent meals(5-6 meals/day instead of three heavy meals).If you have hyper acidity take one tablet of pan 40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days 5.Do Yoga, Meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama etc. It will calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress. 6.Have sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily. 7.Avoid smoking,alcohol, excess tea/coffee, if you are having 8. Drink plenty of water and take rest 9.
