It needs to be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Hi there are various causes for ankle pain like. Mechanical pain (improper foot wear), tendonitis or planter fascities. For pain. -apply ice, -do stretching of calf muscles, -wear proper footwear -do reply for detailed treatment plan. Best wishes.

It looks like you have sustained and acl tear in your knee, its a completely treatable problem. Yes it can only be corrected by surgery but after the surgery you will completely become normal and can play all kind of sports and do all your physical activity. I'm 17 years now and 11 weeks back I had arthroscopic acl reconstruction using arthrex tight rope and abs button. I've been jogging, cycling and a free more exercises. Could you give me a schedule for what exercises I am allowed to do now and what can I add as time passes. I also play football.

It's good that you're following your doctor's advise on exercises regimen as it is 11 weeks old to strengthen your knee muscles you can walk inside the water pool till your waist level to and fro and zig zag walking and free exercises of flexion and extension exercises on advice of your surgeon operated for about 20 min in alternative days best wishes.

Neck pain occurs due to wrong posture or due to strain on your neck muscle. Check your posture, do not bend your neck excessively and when you work on your laptop or computer after half hour of working move your neck slowly in clockwise and anticlockwise direction. * do neck massage with lukewarm mustard oil. * do not take pillow of high hight during sleeping or avoid to take pillow. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

These are related to the barometric pressure and other whether phenomenon. Changes in the barometric pressure results in the increase stiffness in the joints and muscles. Advice: Stretch calfx30 sec holdx3 times a day, hot fermentation over the calf regionx15 mins.

Tips to prevent joint degeneration:

Joint degeneration is progressive and signs and symptoms gradually worsen over time. Factors like age, gender, and sometimes heredity all play a role and, although there is no cure, there are ways to stave off more pain or compromised mobility later on in life:

1. Control your weight
Maintaining a healthy weight can go a long way toward protecting your joints. Obesity is a clear risk factor for developing some form of joint degeneration. Being overweight strains the joints, particularly those that bear a lot of weight, such as the knees and hips, causing the cartilage to wear away.

2. Stay Active
Although high intensity exercise, direct joint impact and injury from exercise can cause cartilage to break down faster, lack of any exercise may cause the muscles that run along the front of the thigh to remain weak, causing impact on the joints.

Exercise keeps joints healthy and is a key part of both joint degeneration prevention and symptom alleviation. Low impact options such as swimming, yoga, and walking push your heart rate up without putting further strain on joints. Strength training is also important as it increases muscle and bone health.

If fear of joint pain after exercise keeps you from exercising, try using heat and cold on painful joints, or take pain relievers, which may make it easier to exercise and stay active. The safest exercises are those that place the least body weight on the joints, such as bicycling, swimming, and other forms of water exercise.

3. Stand up
Are you guilty of slouching at your desk all day in front of a computer? Good posture alleviates stress on many important joints; it is therefore important to maintain the two natural curves of your spine, whether sitting or standing. The two natural curves are the concave curves between the base of your head and your shoulders, and the one from your upper back to the base of your spine.

4. Supplement with Daily Nutrients
Research indicates that glucosamine supplements help relieve pain and stiffness associated with joint degeneration, particularly when combined with appropriate lifestyle modifications, such as a balanced diet and exercise.

Glucosamine sulphate occurs naturally in the body, and seemingly plays a part in the repair and maintenance of joint cartilage. It is used by the body to produce a variety of other chemicals that are involved in building the connective tissue matrix (tendons, ligaments, cartilage) and the synovial fluid (thick fluid around the joints). Protection of this is critical to avoid suffering later in life.

5. Relax
Stress in general is bad for the body. It can lead to lack of sleep and depression, both of which take a toll on your body. Relaxation techniques such as meditation and yoga can help reduce levels of stress and improve your overall health.

Hi, I am 32 yrs old male, weight 95 kg, height- 5.8 ft. Having pain in my legs & hands & fingers & toes. Hlab27 - positive, crp 23 (6). Ca- 9.1, cr.- 1.0 & uric acid: 7.0 sgpt-16. Hg- 11.7. Taking the medicines: patocid 40 (1 tab), sazo- 1 gram (2 tab). Daily, mext 15 mg (once in a week), newbona active (1 tab) femonia xt (1 tab) & fol-5 (1 tab) 5 days in week. You have mentioned yourself as hla b27 positive which means that you are suffering from inflammatory arthritis most probably ankylosing spondylitis. It is a chronic inflammatory joint disease which has a genetic predisposition. Since this is a genetically linked disease hence as of now there is no permanent cure for it, but new intravenous medications are available which help in disease control. You need a very active lifestyle with intensive regular physical therapy, take adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation you also need to be in touch of a rheumatologist as it needs a long term supervised care. Will gout lead to any harmful effects on my body? I am a food lover and prefer mostly non veg but, I am not obese. Hi gout is a very severe disease, it affects joints, heart and kidneys. Most people forget that uric acid which deposits in joints can deposit in heart and kidneys too. So basically besides most painful joints it can kill also. Also as disease progresses the arthritis spreads and can have a devastating effect (google gouty arthritis, gouty top, gouty joint, gouty erosions images). The treatment is very simple, but to be taken continuously. Also it is a widespread misconception that you should stop dals. Dals are very healthy source of protein, and they need not be stopped in gout. Gout is a very severe form of arthritis. It has acute and chronic phase. In acute phase requires immediate management in the form of certain drugs. Chronic phase requires treatment to prevent attacks and later lower uric acid. Most doctors treat intermittently, which is why it spreads, you should treat it continuously like diabetes or hypertension. The concept is simple keep uric acid below 6 or in severe cases 5. It can be achieved in most patients by a single tablet. Bringing uric acid from 10 to 7 is of no use because uric acid will keep on depositing as long it is above 6 Attacks go gout can be treated with any form of therapy. But chronic gout requires a simple tablet in allopathy (like a single tablet in patients having high blood pressure), to prevent further attacks and prevent heart and kidney disease. No drug in ayurveda can do that.
