Hello lybrate-user sorry to hear regarding this problem. Im sure it's a put off and you need to motivate your husband. Don't worry here are the reasons for bad breath bad breath or called as" halitosis" there are various reasons for bad breath. First of all update your medical history as the problem could be elsewhere in your body but will be shown as bad breath through your mouth as mouth being the gateway for your complete system. Apart from that there might be local soft or hard deposits on your teeth which can cause bad breath. This might need professional cleaning by the dentist your teeth might be not well aligned, which we call as" crowded" teeth which makes its challenging for you to keep it clean. So consult an orthodontist (specialist for braces) to align your teeth. Your health of the gums might be compromised which also leads to bad breath. Consult a periodontist for gum problems. Your teeth might have cavities where the food can get lodged and might lead to bad breath. Consult your dentist for this. Inspite of regular cleaning and brushing it might be difficult for you to get a fresh breath. As I mentioned above your dentist will tell you exactly the problem areas. Make sure you do your part well. Regular brushing of your teeth twice daily regular flossing of your teeth (which means cleaning between your teeth by means of floss) clean your tongue gently as it can harbour bacteria causing bad breath stay away from tobacco related habits consume a lot of water and stay hydrated. As dry mouth also leads to bad breath. Please do not use mouth washes if not prescribed by your dentist as they have their own side effects which would be a negative to your oral health. Pay a visit to your dentist every 6 months or earlier for routine cleaning as suggested by your dentist.

Homoeopathic treatment is safe and effective way to provide permanent cure in fatty liver grade 2 disease. If you're willing to take a homoeopathic treatment just let me know through private conversation in Lybrate. Fatty Liver Grade 2 Unhealthy lifestyle habits along with poor health maintenance usually give rise to various health problems.  In such a situation it is normally the gastrointestinal tract that gets affected initially, with the liver taking a major brunt of it all.  Fatty liver disease has progressed to be the most common ailment of the liver suffered by most at the present time. Causes – In some, genetics may be the causative factor for this disease condition.  But most often it is either due to abnormal conditions of the body systems like diabetes, high blood cholesterol or triglyceride levels, or excess body weight.  Over use of certain medications are also known to interfere with the proper functions of the liver and cause fatty liver disease to set in.  Heavy alcohol drinking is also linked to this liver condition. Treatment – Effective treatment depends on identifying the exact cause behind this disease development.  Now, fatty liver is classified into two – alcoholic and non-alcoholic type.  Hence, if an individual is diagnosed with the alcoholic type, then refraining from drinking alcohol, even in moderate amounts, will help in reversing this liver disease. For the non-alcoholic fatty liver type sufferers though the treatment involves a change in diet and lifestyle habits. Foods to Be Avoided – Refined carbohydrates like white rice, white bread, noodles, and pasta to be removed from the person’s diet. Processed junk foods contain excess greasy fats and thus needs to be removed.  Breakfast cereals are also processed highly and should be avoided.  Likewise, baked goods like cakes, cookies, scones, puff pastry, etc. Require excess fats for baking purposes and needs to be eliminated by the sufferer. Deep fried sweet and savories also to be avoided by the person.  Meat, especially red meats like lamb, pork and beef, and meat products that contain animal fats needs to be avoided. Dairy rich products like cheese, butter, margarine, mayonnaise, ice-creams and fruit yogurt also to be avoided. Artificial sweeteners to be avoided for breakdown of these additives will exert the liver. Foods to Promote Healthy Liver – Whole grains like brown rice, whole wheat, rye, and oats to be made part of the person’s regular diet.  Organic fruits and vegetables that are rich in fiber will benefit a fatty liver sufferer. If meat cannot be avoided, the person will need to switch to fat-trimmed meats and chicken.  Seafood like prawn, mackerel, salmon, sardine, tuna, etc. Which are rich in essential fatty acids may also be consumed by the sufferer. For regular cooking, oils that contain omega-3 fatty acids are recommended for the sufferer.  The best choice would be cold-pressed olive oil. Exercise – Reduction ofugh abdominal fat with exercise is recommended for fatty liver sufferers.  A regular exercise routine will also keep overall body weight at desired levels, which is essential to keep all disease conditions at bay.

Dear Mr. Lybrate-user. I assume you have undergone routine tests and bp is normal. Neck pain can be due to bad posture. Lacked of exercise etc while working seeing computer. At home seeing tv try to sit straight and look at the screen perpendicularly. Not turning your neck slightly to see the screen. This true while travelling driving also. Try doing bending forward and backward and side way exercise slowly. Some 30 times per sitting do it 2 times a day. Please check your eye sight also. Slight difference powers between the eyes can also produce pain please also do vit d in blood and let me know the result.

For pimples it's important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin's surface, avoid touching your face or propping your cheek or chin on your hands. Not only can you spread bacteria, you can also irritate the already inflamed facial skin. Never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring. A dietary therapy for pimples can also help a lot. I am a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in your skin problems reply back for private consultation.

How safe is xenical for weight loss?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
Pediatrician,
Better to reduce weight by specific diet and exercise plans suited for you. Regarding online consultation there are certain points which all should know and follow the description of the diseases should be complete in all respects, including any tests done and any medicines already taking. Just saying I have diabetes since 10 years and taking metformin cannot help a discerning doctor a scientific advice. 2) your place and name and mail id and phone number should be in the question. It is necessary at times to know where you stay to give a good advice. (for example if there the climate is warm or cold and many other factors) 3) it is necessary to keep in regular touch for some diseases like diabetes and hypertension. So make it a point to be in touch by asking private questions. And repeat the essential point of the previous question to give a continuing answer. All these are said with intention to give a scientifically correct answer and talk as if in a regular consultation about which I am very keen to. 4) for personalised attention and follow up ask privately.

Most people avoid taking antibiotics and pain killers unless the problem is severe or because their stomach hurts as some dental treatments last long. Make sure that you complete the entire course of analgesics and antibiotics as prescribed because a MIC (minimal inhibitory concentration) is required for the bad bugs to be killed to control the infection and similarly SOS use of painkillers should not be restricted if pain persists; rather additional entire course for a day or two is advisable.

What treatment options are available to a patient with narrowed or blocked arteries?
Hi lybrate-user. 1. (eecp) enhanced external counterpulsation may stimulate the opening, or formation of, small branches of blood vessels (collaterals) to create natural bypass around narrowed or blocked arteries. Little expensive non invasive procedure. 2.(ptca) percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty is a minimally invasive procedure to open up blocked coronary arteries, allowing blood to circulate unobstructed to the heart muscle.
