I am 42 years Male yesterday while bathing I got sprain around right shoulder blade. It was mild at that time but become unbearable when I woke up today morning. Sharp stinging pain between blades when I am even turning my head. Feel relief in sitting position without moving head. Took Voveran sr 100 but it helped very little. Its hurting badly when I move or bend my head and move right hand. Please advise what to do?

This is cervical pain (neck pain) and that's the reason the pain radiates until the shoulder blades. If you keep ice that would help and along side you can do hot water fermentation. You shall use cervical collar which would help you to reduce the radiating pain ie. Due to the nerve compression.

Hi doctor, my mother is suffering from severe knee pain for both legs. Is there some laser treatment available to cure the same. She does not wish to go for knee replacement surgery and we want to get this sorted asap. Revert awaited Rgds Vijay.

Laser treatment in physiotherapy works for deep seated pain, but if there is extreme degeneration of the cartilage and bones, knee replacement is inevitable as it is a non reversible condition.

Dear sir, I wnt to know about my back pain. When I wake up in the morning bahut jyada hai. Tell me something about it.. Thank you.

Dear sir,
I wnt to know about my back pain.
When I wake up in the morning bahut jyada hai. Tell me something about it...
Back pain may be due to strain, sprain, weather change etc. *Avoid bending forward while working on lap top or for any other work. *Don’t sit continuously working on laptop etc. Get up periodically and move around. *Restrict bike driving as far as possible. *Don’t carry laptop or any load on your shoulder. Carrying very light loads equally with both hands is better *Sit straight so that back bone gets proper support. A dining chair is better than a laid back sofa. *You can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good *Soft bed will not give proper support to your back bone. Hard bed with thin mattress and thin pillow is better. *Get yourself tested whether you have spondylitis problem. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take Calc fluor 200--once daily in the morning.

What can I do if have a regular leg pain. M not able to walk properly and even run.

MSc in Orhopedic Physiotherapy (UK), BPTh/BPT
Physiotherapist, Bangalore
What can I do if have a regular leg pain. M not able to walk properly and even run.
Most leg pain results from wear and tear, overuse, or injuries in joints or bones or in muscles, ligaments, tendons or other soft tissues. Leg pain can also be caused by blood clots, varicose veins or poor circulation. To relieve mild pain: stay off your leg as much as possible apply an ice pack or bag of frozen peas to the affected area for 15 to 20 minutes three times a day elevate your leg whenever you sit or lie down please go to a physiotherapist if: you have pain during or after walking you have swelling in both legs your pain gets worse your symptoms don't improve after a few days of home treatment you have painful varicose veins if you feel the pain is from muscle cramp then you need to drink a lot of water because poor fluid intake (dehydration) may predispose to cramps also low blood levels of either calcium or magnesium directly cause cramps. Best wishes.

Hello, 1. Firstly you should consult an spine physician/surgeon if the problem is present since a long time because back pain is one of the most neglected complaints. 2. In the meanwhile, you can have RUTA 30. 4 pills every 4 hours for 15 days. 3. Avoid lifting any kind of heavy weight. 4. Early morning stretches will be helpful. You may also resort to some yoga. Swimming is also one of the exercises which wont increase your back pain. Thank you. Do let me know if this was helpful.
