lybrate-user, I have gone through the query and understand your concern. However, if a person is non diabetic, then even with so called heavy meal there will not an excessive rise in blood glucose as mentioned. Following are the criteria to decide if a person has diabetes or not: 1) Normal: Fasting Blood Glucose: 70 to 110 mg, PP: <140 mg & HbA1c%<5.9 2) Pre-diabetic: FBG: 108 to 125 mg, PP: 141 to 199 mg/100 ml, HbA1c%5.9 to 6.4 3) Diabetes: FBG: 126 mg and above, PP 200 mg above & HbA1c%6.5 % and above. In case of Random blood glucose level too any thing above 200 mg is confirmed diabetes. I suggest that please get a diabetic profile test done, which will confirm the situation. Plus have you noticed any change in weight (reduction) during last few months? Also is there any tiredness noticed? If you have any doubts please do come back. But please get the above test done early. Thanks.

great to know that you are exercising, running and cycling. I am also a running enthusiast, I participate in marathons. Well looking at your sugar readings, I would advise you to start tab k - met 500 mg twice a day, it will help you to control sugar levels. After taking the tablets for a week or ten days check the levels and continue the treatment. All the best.

How to reduce blood sugar fasting my blood sugar 108 & pp 117 but I m diat 2 month diabetes & no tablets.
Lybrate-user, if mentioned sugar levels are without any medication then you do not have diabetes at all. For diabetes to be diagnosed fasting sugar should be >126 mg and pp >200 mg and hba1c%>6.5. According to current criteria for diagnosis you do not have diabetes.

What kind of food suitable for maintain lower cholesterol and maintain lower sugar.

What kind of food suitable for maintain lower cholesterol and maintain lower sugar.
Mr. Lybrate-user, if you do not have diabetes then normal balanced diet like everyone else is fine for maintaining normal glucose and lipid levels. Precautions to be taken are: avoid too much of sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, bakery items, sweetened aerated drinks (colas), fructose corn syrup containing products and highly processed food products. Refrain from alcohol and smoking. Exercise regularly for over 1 hour a day. Consume more of green leafy vegetables and salads. These measures help in maintaining lipids and blood glucose at desired level. Thanks.

Normal level of testosterone is 300 to 1000h ng/dl. Your testosterone is low. Hba1c should be less than 6. Do a blood sugar test (fasting &pp), repeat hba1c and consult physician with report for advice and treatment.

I am 42 years old and I am suffering from uric acid increase our blood. What should I do?

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine
Internal Medicine Specialist, Faridabad
A high uric acid level can be caused when your body either produces too much uric acid or your kidneys don't eliminate uric acid rapidly enough. A high uric acid level may cause increasingly frequent attacks of gout, or it may never cause problems. A high uric acid level may also cause some people to develop kidney stones or kidney failure. And some people with a high uric acid level also develop high blood pressure, heart disease or chronic kidney disease, but it's often unclear whether this is a direct cause or merely an early warning sign of these conditions. Factors that may cause a high uric acid level in your blood include: Diuretic medications (water pills),Drinking too much alcohol,Genetics (inherited tendencies),hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid),Immune-suppressing drugs,Niacin, or vitamin B-3, obesity, psoriasis, Purine-rich diet — organ meat, game meat, anchovies, herring, gravy, dried beans, driedpeas, mushrooms and other foods Renal insufficiency — inability of the kidneys to filter waste Tumor lysis syndrome — a rapid release of cells into the blood caused by certain cancers or by chemotherapy for those cancers,Also, you may be monitored for high uric acid levels when undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer. Avoid protein diets, avoid more milk products. bad habits , fast food/fat/oily,salty foods. Coffee, smoking, alcohol intake. Non-veg., take whole grain, oats, green veg.,plenty of water in day time, 1 glass of water at night before bed. Take tab. Zyloric 100 mg once a day. Tab. Ulracet sos for pain in joints.

Ways In Which Homeopathy Gets Into Roots To Cure Diabetes

Ways In Which Homeopathy Gets Into Roots To Cure Diabetes

Diabetes is a lifestyle disease that usually occurs when the pancreas do not carry out their functions in a proper manner. This leads to excess absorption of glucose from the food consumed by the patient. There are several types and risk factors attached with this lifestyle disease, and it is known as a long-term condition that cannot be fully cured. With homeopathy, the doctors now have a way wherein the symptoms can be contained even as the sugar levels are well-modulated so that over time, the ailment does not become a particularly debilitating one. Here are the ways in which a homeopathic doctor can help you in doing so, by reaching your very root so as to find a way to manage and treat diabetes in a more effective manner.

Managing Blood Sugar Levels- Solutions like Uranium Nitricum, Phosphoric Acid and Cephalandra Indica can be prescribed by a homeopathic specialist so as to help you in managing the blood sugar levels. These are an excellent standalone source, when it comes to keeping the blood sugar level steady and preventing a sudden spike in the same.

Holistic Approach- While homeopathic medicines are usually based on creating a new lifestyle that may accommodate the changes in one’s body due to the advent of a disease like diabetes, it may also be seen that the approach is usually customized as per the body and system of the individual. Before studying the patient’s physiological symptoms or prescribing a medicine, every homeopathic doctor finds out the actual cause behind the advent of diabetes in that particular patient. In this way, these medicines try to maintain harmony in the body, as they usually promote better management of the symptoms.

Constitutional Treatment- In order to prescribe the right method of medication for you, most homeopathic medical practitioners try and understand how you have been built. These doctors move past symptoms and other signs of diabetes and find out if you have a family history of the condition, and how it may have affected those in your family who have previously suffered or have been suffering from the ailment. Based on this evaluation, they reach the very root of the problem and prescribe the right medication for the same.

Promotive Approach- Type 2 diabetes is a kind of diabetes that can be controlled with the help of some changes in one’s lifestyle. Through homeopathy, the doctor will tend to reach out with this kind of deep-rooted and long-term form of treatment so that the blood sugar levels may be contained in an appropriate way.

Thyroid should stay in control with regular treatment. Do not self medicate or suddenly stop hypothyroid treatment. Not treating thyroid can give rise to many effects eg. Obesity, lethargy. For the dry eyes which can be again observed in hypothyroidism please get screened for any other underlying auto immune disorder and start eye drops for dry eyes based on type of dry eyes .You will need an opthalmologist and an endocrinologist to help you out in this regard. Thanks.
