Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Dear lybrate user. A) take 30 ml of fresh lemon juice along with 30 ml of lukewarm water early in the morning and at evening before meal half an hour. B) take 2-2 tablets of sheetprabha vati along with lemon juice. C) take 30 ml of audumbaravleha and 30 ml of aloe vera juice at night before sleep. Do all these things for 15 days. It gives you good result. Consult to me for further suggestions. Thanks.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it doe s not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference?

Quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

I am 53 year old woman all my bones are paining & particularly I have low back ache I am not taking any pain killers, once in a while I take acyclophenic 200 mg but I am taking ostrocalcium tab (2 tab) every day along with calcirol ( vitd3) tab once a week kindly suggest me few exercises or some other safe medicine

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. It' s good to know that you are taking your calcium and vitamin d supplementation, you need intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a physiotherapist and then at home. Make a habit of long brisk walks of at least 30 in everyday, take proper care of your posture and it should be ok, if not we will have to get x rays and mri scans to actually see your pathology in detail. Hello, this may be due to following reasons- 1. Overweight, 2. Deficiency of vitamin d3 or calcium, 3. Postural stress, 4. Muscle strain, 5. Arthritis etc. You can follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. Perform deep breathing exercises or yoga for proper functioning of lungs. I can explain you stiffness and pain reducing techniques, if interested. Wish you a happy and pain free life thanks.

I am 26 year male & have spinal cord injury. Mera injury T6 & T7 vertebra me hua he. Mera chest se leg tak paralysed he. Kuch feel nehin hota. Mera leg me koi bhi chunese automatically upar niche hota hai or vibration hota hai. Koi leg me pinch karne se bhi auto khich leta he but mujhe feel nehin hota. 3 year ho geya he me bed pe hun. Spinal cord injury causes paralysis in the body. Ye show karta hai ki spine kitna important hai. Please aap achi jagah se Physiotherapy treatment le. Mene Apne career me spinal cord injury ke patients me ache results dekhe hai. Hope lose mat kijiye. Physiotherapy ache result deti hai. Koi medicine aap ki muscle me strength nhi la skti. Go for a proper rehabilitation treatment. Regards.

I feel restlessness in my calf muscles, particularly at bed time and during summer. It is not so in winter. Can you explain the possible cause of it and remedy for it. Thanks

when we sleep, our foot are in plantar flexion (downward) and calf muscle have shorten at that time, so you much work out for calf muscle like stretching exercise not so hardly and warm fomentation you need for thrice time a day (alternate days for 12 days). see the result
