I am suffering from high cholesterol problem since three four years. Trygercide was 250 four years back and then I started medicines like z lip f and abana. After 6 month it was 135. I gave up medicine. After checking a few months, it was again crossed 300. And the ratio of bad and good cholesterol is also very bad. Now it is 365. I would like to ask the reason behind. Because I make walk and exercises regularly since my childhood. My age is 50, height is 5.6. Weight 70 kg male. Slim build. I take very less oily food. Likes fruits and uses saffola, olive oils in my meals. Pl suggest how can reduce it and why it is increasing.

high cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take green veg., whole grain. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

Voluntarily cough every minute so that blood supply continues to the brain during attack... Then give him sorbitrate and ecosprin tablets to be kept beneath the tongue..,. Then take him to nearestnearest hospital immediately for further treatment

Menopause brings about a lot of changes in a woman's body. Hello, don't give him oily , spicy food, fast food , junk food. Cut short his salt and sugar intake. drink water at frequent intervals. Along with the dietary changes give him Alpha Liv , 2 tsp , once daily after dinner.

Sir I have done a lipid profile test and my triglycerides level and vldl is high. Triglycerides is 184mg/dl and vldl is 36.8 mg/dl. Is it worrisome? What should I do. please advice on it. Rest of the report are at normals levels.

Build good fats in blood by taking a spoon of desi ghee or butter and a katori of assorted nuts everyday. Reduce bad fats by taking a spoon of honey added to juice of fresh lemon. Take it on empty stomach every morning. Besides reducing your bad fats through junk eating and fried food routine simple exercises do burn the bad fats. Remember to take good fats within limits. Vitamin B 12 deficiency causes neuralgia that is nerve pains. Moreover if you are not doing regular exercises, your muscles may also be painful on slightest stretch while getting up or lying down. Exercise regularly and replenish your Vitamin B12.

never acidity or gas can not increases cholesterol level. take low alkaline foods. take digestive enzymes more i.e. syp. aristozyme 10 ml thrice a day.

I think you are young, healthy adult. It is common to have pulse 100 if you get exerted. Any how if you still need to check your heart get one ecg, x- chest, etc.

Dear lybrateuser, -if you have heaviness in chest then exercise regularly walking, jogging, swimming, playing outdoor games as these will keep your mind & body fit -also do yoga, meditation & deep breathing exercises for 10-15 min daily -have well balanced meals with more of fruits & vegetables, wholegrains -sleep well for 7-8 hrs at night get your bp checked up.

when your total cholesterol measures in between 125 to 200 mg/dl. then you can stop your medicines. but keep up your healthy diet and lifestyle.You can control cholesterol / hdl / ldl/t.g. By using following flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take . green veg., whole grain foods, spicy foods, Use GARLIC in foods daily ,. Cod liver oil. Low sugar foods, low calories foods.
