For healthier teeth, flossing daily in a sawing motion is highly recommended. Take the floss to the point where the teeth meet the gums.

I am losing my gums, gums size is decreasing, what is the solution.

It is called as gum recession. There are a number of factors that can cause your gums to recede, including: - periodontal diseases. - aggressive tooth brushing - insufficient dental care. - tobacco products(if one consume) - grinding and clenching your teeth. - misaligned bite. Treatment of gum recession- - mild gum recession may be able to be treated by your dentist by deep cleaning the affected area. - if your gum recession cannot be treated with deep cleaning because of excess loss of bone and pockets that are too deep, gum surgery may be required to repair the damage caused by gum recession.

Dental Care during Summer

Dental Care during Summer

Ever increasing temperature during summers make it very essential to be hydrated with lots of fluids taken in a frequent interval. Proper hydration not only helps general health, it also helps the oral health by maintaining right moisture in the mouth. Natural juices like tender coconut, buttermilk, lassi etc make good choices while carbonated drinks should be avoided.

The malocclusion you are having is Class I Division 1, in which there is increased gap between upper and lower front teeth. Orthodontic/ Braces treatment is required to resolve this problem which may require 2-4 teeth removal. It will improve the functioning of the teeth and appearance of the face.

I had completed my root canal treatment for my right molar tooth before 2 months. After root canal also it is paining...
Sometimes pain after root canal treatment occurs due to extent of infection or it can be due to some part of infected tissue left behind so in both the cases consult dentist and you should get capping done after getting relieved from pain as this is also required for long term prognosis of your teeth as well as save tooth from fracturing as tooth becomes brittle after root canal treatment.

BDS
Dentist, Ahmedabad
6- Cavity Having cavities is not a serious problem at all. Cavities which are not too deep can be excavated and be restored by a dental cement. Cavities that are very deep can be cured by root canal treatment followed by crown ( cap ). For better prevention of cavities , 1- Follow proper brushing technique. 2- Brush twice a day 3-clean your teeth immediately every time after you eat food or liquids. 4- Undergo scaling ( cleaning of teeth) at the interval of every 5-6 months. 5- Visit dentist for regular oral cavity check up every 4 months for the early diagnosis and prevention of dental diseases. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need removable or fixed type of replacement. You may consult me in person too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.
