Hello Ideally you should be consuming 350 gms of carbs, 100 gm of proteins and around 100 gms of fats. But you should not worry too much about proportions of nutrients. Rather you should be looking at the quality of food from where the nutrients are coming. There is no food that contains pure carbs or pure fats. If there are, they all are synthetic, man made. Therefore instead of going for supplements, you should be consuming whole, natural foods, like for carbs eat fruits and starchy veggies, for proteins legumes and for fats nuts and seeds. As you see, none of these natural foods have only one nutrient, but have a nature-made right proportions of all macro and micro nutrients. That is how nutrients work, not in isolation. I guess your body's resting energy is very high that is why your body is burning all that you eat, without adding to your weight. Try eating something every 2-3 hours to avoid long periods of fasting. Eat proteins rich food to gain muscle mass. For customised diet, take consultation separately.

Hi, use honey and lemon in the morning which boosts your immunity and metabolism. Its better to have small and frequent meals and this type of diet keeps you fit. It generally includes a 6 meal pattern where you will have breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, evening snack, Dinner and bed time snack. Include high fibre foods like whole grains, legumes and pulses, vegetables, fruits and skimmed milk, lean meat, skin out chicken, fish, salads, beverages like green tea, lemon tea, buttermilk. Avoid refined carbohydrates, oily and fried foods, butter, ghee, red meat, junk food, carbonated beverages. Give a gap of 2 hours between dinner and sleep and start walking at least 20-30 minutes a day initially and you can extend it 1-2 km per week depending on your tolerance. Stay hydrated all the time and take stairs instead of lift, in a healthy way you can reduce 2 kg per month.

Hi incorporate more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into your diet while eliminating unhealthy foods. - if you are working or studying away from home, try to pack healthy lunch and snacks for yourself to avoid eating unhealthy food daily. - don't eat straight from the packet - use a plate or bowl to control how much you eat. - don't delay or skip meals. - cut down your consumption of aerated drinks and sodas. - drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. Drink water after waking up and before sleeping. Being dehydrated may make you feel like you're hungry, so it is important to stay hydrated. - have homemade fruit and vegetable juices - eat 5-6 small healthy meals every 2-3 hours, every day, instead of having a few big ones. This regulates your blood sugar level and your metabolism. - don't skip breakfast, instead, make it rich with complex carbohydrates and proteins, so it can provide you with energy to get through the day. Try to include the following as your morning breakfast, oats porridge, eggs on multigrain toast or daliya with sprouts. - avoid artificial sweeteners in processed foods. - eat slowly as it takes about 20 minutes for your brain to register if you're full or not. To gain weight one must eat a balanced diet. Do not skip any meals and eat small and frequent meal. Include wheat germ and take protein rich diet include milk and milk product, all pulses, take a cup of milk with pinch of turmeric powder, you will get proper sleep or you can take 1 banana with a cup of milk. You should do deep breathing thrice in a day.

कूटू का वैज्ञानिक नाम फैगोपाईरम एस्कुलेंटम है. त्रिभुज की आकृति जैसा दिखने वाला कूटू गेहूं के समान ही होता है. भारत में कूटू की उपज हिमालय क्षेत्रों में ही की जाती है. कूटू का इस्तेमाल व्रतों या त्योहारों में विशेषरूप से सबसे ज्यादा किया जाता है. भारत में ये हिमालय के तराई क्षेत्रों में ही उगाया जाता है. दुनिया के अन्य देशों में चीन, रूस, कजाकिस्तान, यूक्रेन आदि में भी कूटू की उपज होती है. व्रत में इस्तेमाल किए जाने का मुख्य कारण कूटू का ऊर्जा में निहित ऊर्जा का महत्वपूर्ण स्रोत है.

कूटू लस से मुक्त होता है जिसके कारण यह गेहूं और राई का सबसे बेहतर विकल्प माना जा सकता है. जिन लोगों को गेहूं से एलर्जी होती है उनके लिए तो यह एक बेहतर विकल्प होता है. कूटू में पाए जाने वाले खनिज पदार्थों और पोषक तत्वों में मैग्नीशियम फाइबर लोहा और प्रोटीन प्रमुख है. इसके अलावा इसमें 8 तरह के एमिनो एसिड पाया जाता है. आइए कूटू के फायदे और नुकसान के बारे में जानें.

1. हड्डियों के लिए
कूटू का उपयोग हम हड्डियों को स्वस्थ रखने के लिए कर सकते हैं. क्योंकि कूटू में मैग्नीशियम कैल्शियम और फास्फोरस आदि की प्रचुरता होती है. इसके अलावा कूटू हमारे शरीर में ऊतकों के विकास में भी काफी सहायक साबित होता है. इससे ऑस्टियोपोरोसिस और गठिया जैसी बीमारियों को दूर करने में भी काफी मदद मिलती है.
2. शुगर के उपचार में
कूटू में टैनिन नाम का एक एंजाइम पाया जाता है. यह शरीर से स्टार्च के अवशोषण को रोकता है. इसके अलावा इंसुलिन एवं ग्लूकोज के स्तर को भी नियंत्रित करता है. जिससे शुगर के मरीजों के ग्लूकोज के स्तर में निरंतरता बनी रहती है. यानी ग्लूकोज के स्तर का बढ़ना यह घटना रुक जाता है.
3. ह्रदय से संबंधित विकारों में
फाइबर से समृद्ध कूटू हमारे हृदय को स्वस्थ रखने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है. क्योंकि इसमें पाया जाने वाला फाइबर हमारे शरीर से खराब कोलेस्ट्रॉल को दूर करने में सहायक होता है. इससे हमारे हृदय को स्वस्थ बने रहने में मदद मिलती है. कूटू के सेवन से धमनियों को सख्त होने और दिल के दौरे एवं स्ट्रोक जैसी स्थितियों से भी निजात पा सकते हैं.
4. पाचन तंत्र के लिए
कूटू में पाई जाने वाली फाइबर की भरपूर मात्रा हमारे शरीर के पाचन तंत्र को भी दुरुस्त करने का काम करती है. दिन में एक बार कूटू के सेवन से हमें पूरे दिन का लगभग 48 प्रतिशत फाइबर प्राप्त हो जाता है. इससे हमारे पाचन तंत्र को तेजी से काम करने में मदद मिलती है. पेट से संबंधित तमाम बीमारियां जैसे सूजन, कब्ज, पेट में दर्द, गैस, दस्त आदि से छुटकारा मिलता है.
5. कैंसर के उपचार में
कूटू का चोकर एंटीऑक्सीडेंट्स का समृद्ध स्रोत है. इसमें पाए जाने वाले एंटीऑक्सीडेंट्स कैंसर होने की संभावना को काफी हद तक कम करते हैं. क्योंकि एंटीऑक्सीडेंट्स हमारे शरीर में फ्री रेडिकल्स के प्रभाव को खत्म करके कोशिकाओं को पुनर्जीवन देने का काम करते हैं.
6. गेहूं के विकल्प के रूप में

Weight gain requires increase in calorie intake. Calories can be increased by increasing the calorie intake. Calories can be increased by consuming more food than what you are already taking. Exercise spends calories or burns calories. Exercising increases the appetite also. Thus, I would suggest you to exercise and preferably join a gym and work out under the guidance of an instructor. At the same time, nutritious balanced diet has to be taken. The protein content should be high and carbohydrates and fats should be limited. Fluids in the form of water, soups, juices should be included in the diet. Protein are building blocks of the body and are required for repair and regeneration. Thus, protein content id diet should be high.

Hi, Its better to drink green tea on empty stomach, may be 30 minutes before breakfast. And in the evening around 4-5 p.m. When your stomach will be empty again after a long gap of meal. If you want a snack, eat it after 30 minutes of green tea consumption in evening.

According to Ayurvedic medicine, a natural system of healing that began in India 3,000 years ago and is still heavily utilized in that country, the body is not just flesh and bones, but a complex electrical system. While most people in the U.S. may not be familiar with it, thankfully we have people like Deepak Chopra, who bring us a wealth of information from every corner of the wellness world. Deepak tells us that the human body has over 70,000 circuits. Sounds unbelievable, right? But think about it: when a person's heart stops, the doctors apply electrodes to jumpstart it - that's because the heart is electrical, just like the rest of the body. In my own clinical practice, I have discovered a few circuits that can be activated to prevent disturbances.

Typically, natural healing is a slower process than the pharmaceutical approach of primarily controlling symptoms. While taking medication you may experience quick relief, yet the underlying cause is rarely addressed. Natural healing (including Ayurvedic medicine), focuses on balancing the mind, body and spirit, which can sometimes take longer; however, there are times in natural healing when instant relief does happen. I know because I treat four conditions - kidney stones, painful intercourse, jet lag, and natural flu protection - that regularly fall into that category. Occasionally, it may take two or three sessions to get results.

Kidney Stones

Anyone who has experienced kidney stones will tell you it is one of the most painful things imaginable. Most stones form due to a combination of genetic and environmental factors, including high calcium levels in the urine, obesity, certain foods, some medications, calcium supplements, gout and not drinking enough fluids. Once stones have formed they can be very difficult to get rid of - many people have to have lithotripsies, during which shock waves are used to "blast" the stones to bits, or even more invasive kidney surgery to remove them. I help them avoid all that with a natural energetic adjustment. Again, this may sound like hocus pocus, but I have several patients who after receiving this treatment did not experience kidney stones again, even after twenty years! I'm not treating kidney stones, but preventing it from occurring. It is also possible to prevent gallstones with a similar procedure.

Painful Intercourse

Every once in a while, a female patient confides in me that she experiences painful sex. My first question for her is, "Have you ruled out any medical problems?" The most common reasons that women have discomfort during sex include infections; trauma or tissue injury; anatomic variations; hormonal imbalance; bladder irritation or interstitial cystitis; vulvodynia (chronic pain with an unknown cause); cancer or pelvic mass; and vaginal dryness. However, painful sex can also be rooted in the emotions, such as fear of pain or injury, feelings of guilt or shame, and fear of pregnancy. If the patient's gynecologist has told her that there is no physiological reason for the discomfort, I offer my help. My approach is to release any underlying negative feeling associated with intercourse. There is "no talking it out" - just a pinpoint emotional adjustment. Usually it takes just one session to eliminate any unpleasant sexual memory or feeling.

The Drag of Jet Lag

Many people, after flying cross-country, to or from Europe, or anywhere where they cross time zones experience the unpleasantness known as jet lag. Symptoms include daytime sleepiness, irritability and digestive discomfort, and it can be enough to make someone dread their next vacation. Physicians say it's a disruption of the Circadian rhythm; I say it's a disruption in their electromagnetic energy field, and I do a polarity-based treatment that prevents it, usually in a single session.

I am suffering from piles and fissure problem from last month. Consulted ayurvedic doctor for that. I am having habit of consuming sugar with tablets and capsule as I chew them. I am gaining weight due to that whereas I am eating low spices food mainly dal with 2 roti & pomegranate/ Apple juice. For weight loss. It is important to take frequent meals at regular interval of time. Empty stomach try to include 2 tsp aleovera juice+ 2 tsp amla juice in equal amount of water. Take 1 cup jasmine tea, it will reduce water retention of your body. Avoid all kinds of fatty food, refienary, packkages product. Take high protein and high fiber diet and minimise your carbohydrate intake. Go for exercise and do deep breathing and don't take stress try to be happy.

Just go for thyroid test first and do revert back with reports You can make your body fit by proper diet and exercise as well. If I eat light dinner, I probably wake up midnight with an empty stomach. It again ruins my sleep. What should I do?
You should have protein rich dinner like eggs, poultry,pulses etc. This will keep you feel filled for longer time. You may have salad if feel hungry at night.

Hi lybrate-user. In Pcos. Weight shd be Reduced by taking less carb and more protein. You should avoid unhealthy eating outside. Evening meal should be before 7 pm ,then take a long speedy walk. Eat Almonds if feeling hunger in night. Take proper medicine s Which is prescribed or balance your harmone level. Balance thyroid functions. Proper 8 hrs sleep. Etc.
