I am suffering from anxiety from last 4 days. During evenings I cry for no reason and I get nervous a lot and my heart beat accelerates. I am not able to study as when I take my books I get nervous even more. It starts from afternoon and it is at peak in the evening. I am not going out from many days maybe thats a reason but when I started feeling this I go out for some time and feel better but now its not possible for me to go out all the time. I feel terrible at that time and many negative thoughts come in my mind. I have never experienced this and I want to get cured. Plzz suggest what should I do.

Tremors, feeling anxious or nervous, sense of panic, sweating, increased heartbeat, feeling of impending doom, stomach discomfort, dizziness etc are signs of anxiety. These can be debilitating. If the anxiety us overwhelming, consult a psychiatrist at the earliest. With the right medication and counseling, it is likely your symptoms will improve. Other than that, try yoga, deep breathing, meditation, moderate exercise, progressive muscular relaxation and guided meditation. You can consult me for further management if required.

I want to share an incident to know whether I need to consult any doctor or not. 2 days ago I was travelling in train but as my station arrived I got down but I forget that I have a bag .i left that in train. Similarly I forget many important things. My mind is always lost in random thoughts. I want piece of mind. My mind does not work nowadays. I currently work for a company .I used to be always in tension. I do not like anything. When someone is talking to me I used to avoid. I do not like to call anyone. I do not like to be in groups. It is natural to feel low and miss the person you have lost. However if it is interfering with your sleep, studies or general well being, or if you feel suicidal, you need to consult a psychiatrist. It is common to feel low, cry, feel like you are alone, or lose your self confidence. Usually time is the best healer. However if things are too difficult to handle you should talk to a psychiatrist or counselor. Confide in someone close to you, who will support you in this difficult time. Don't cut off from friends or family, even if you feel like you want to be alone.

The end of a relationship often feels like the end of the world. After all the time and energy you have invested in it, it is very painful when it gets over. Keep in mind that life is full of ups and downs; nothing is permanent. The pain you feel today will go away with time. Give yourself time to heal. Give time, time. In the meanwhile don't isolate yourself from your friends and family. Confide in someone you are comfortable with. Make a list of life goals, and plan how to achieve them. Relationships are an important part of your life, but they are not everything. Spend time with those close to you, indulge in some enjoyable activities. Keep yourself busy. Slowly you will see that there is a lot to life. However if you are feeling suicidal, consult a psychiatrist immediately. Don't wait to feel worse.

I am 26 year old man. I am suffering from psychological problem from last 1 year. My girl friend broke up with me (but I had not broke with her) 1 year back. Somehow I manage the situation and move on in life. But she keep on calling me 2-3 times month and some time 2-3 time a week also. Whenever I talked to her all past memories recollected in my mind & I goes into depression as it is impossible for me to talk to her as friend only. If I do not pick her call then I become anxious & restless & start thinking that may be she needed my help. Best thing is she never call me or text me but this is not happening. I had told her 3-4 times to not call me as I can not talk to you as friend only but she never listened to me. Please help me as I can't scold her or treat her badly. Thanks in advance.

As long as you keep talking to her, taking her calls and keeping contact with her, you will not be able to move on. If you want to get over her and move on with your life, a clean break is advised. Ending a relationship is difficult enough but staying in touch with your ex girlfriend will keep your focus on her constantly. Take a hard look at why you are maintaining contact with her. She doesn't seem to be interested in getting back with you but is just contacting you when she wants something. This situation is keeping you stuck in a vicious cycle. Take a decision and break the pattern.
