I am 24 year old female and I think I am in depression. I am preparing for IES since last three years and still mt goal is clear but now since last 2 month I used to do fake smiling. I do not feel like doing anything whether it is about food or whether it is about travelling or about studies or about talk to home. This is first time in my life I did not go to hometown in festival either I also dnt feel anything. It is like I am getting stone hearted. Well about health I always feels like tired, most of the time suffering from cold and shallow breathing, anxiety,headache. I am all alone I want to do study but why I am not doing. Can you help me out what is going on with me and how I can get rid of my condition. This time I am feeling that my biggest enemy is me.

My mood is change in moments. Some time I feel something like anger on somebody bt I forget and have no reaction front of him. And I can not express my anger and can not leave anybody away from me. I get hurted from their talks bt for sometime after than I forget about that nd behave same as before. I am feeling uncomfortable with my behaviour.

dear lybrate user, your personality is very sentive and learning coping skills is required to deal with ups n down of life . You can change the relationship by managing your own reactions, establishing firm limits, and improving communication within relationship.  Therapies like dialectic behavioral therapy and Cognitive behavioral therapy can help u which helps people learn how to manage conflict, and learn skills to help them cope with strong emotions. Mindfulness meditation is also often included

Hello Lybrate user. Try the following 1.Pay attention to your breathing—don't hold your breath 2. Challenge negative thinking and unrealistic expectations 3.Get moving—short bursts of movement, several times a day, can reduce anxiety 4. Use sensory input, such as relaxing and uplifting music, to calm yourself 5. Challenge your fear of others by making face-to-face contact with friendly people. 6.Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) has been shown to work the best for treating social anxiety disorder. 7.Medication is helpful with counselling. Consult a psychiatrist for the same.

Alzheimer's disease is a neurological disorder in which the death of brain cells causes memory loss and cognitive decline Alzheimer's is caused by brain cell death. 3 It is a neurodegenerative disease, which means there is progressive brain cell death that happens over a course of time. Risk factors for developing the condition include aging, a family history of Alzheimer's, and carrying certain genes. Symptoms are - Repetitive questions or conversations Misplacing personal belongings Forgetting events or appointments Getting lost on a familiar route. "Poor understanding of safety risks Inability to manage finances Poor decision-making ability inability to plan complex or sequential activities Inability to operate simple implements, or orient clothing to the body. "Out-of-character mood changes, including agitation; less interest, motivation or initiative; apathy; social withdrawal There is no known cure for Alzheimer's disease - the death of brain cells in the dementia cannot be halted or reversed. There is, however, much backing for therapeutic interventions to help people live with Alzheimer's disease more ably. Some options may reduce its symptoms and help improve quality of life. So if you are having any of these above symptoms do consult a neuropsychiatrist. Have a great day.

Stress is the body's reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response. The body reacts to these changes with physical, mental and emotional responses. Emotional symptoms Becoming easily agitated, frustrated and moody Feeling overwhelmed, and as if you are losing control or need to take control. Having difficulty relaxing and quieting your mind, Feeling bad about yourself (low self-esteem). Physical symptoms  Low energy Headaches Aches, pains, and tense muscles Chest pain and rapid heartbeat insomnia Loss of sexual desire and/or ability Nervousness and shaking, Cold or sweaty hands and feet excess sweating dry mouth and difficulty swallowing Clenched jaw and grinding teeth Cognitive symptoms Constant worrying Racing thought Forgetfulness and disorganisation Inability to focus Poor judgement Being pessimistic or seeing only the negative side. Behavioural symptoms  Changes in appetite - either not eating or eating too much Procrastinating and avoiding responsibilities Increased use of alcohol, drugs or cigrattes Exhibiting more nervous behaviour, such as nail biting, fidgeting and pacing. If you, or someone you know, is feeling overwhelmed by stress, take help from psychiatrist for counselling, therapy and medication.

Hello, just try to have a planned lifestyle like sleep on time and for atleast 7 to 8 hrs in a day, walk everyday, develop hobbies, eat healthy food. For difficulties in memorising, try to write down things, revision is must, and don't put a lot of pressure on urself. If you are feeling low, having sleep and appetite disturbance, negative thoughts about urself and future or similar issues. Please discuss in details whichever means suits u.

Hello lybrate-user, Parkinson's disease is a type of neuromovement disorder coz of less dopamine in body so it cause problems in movement of body. Persons starts having trouble in walking, stiffness of whole body, doing his daily activities, slow in all kinds of actions. It also associated with psychiatric complaints And your concern abt his bone pains, which can be unlikely due to Parkinson's disease. As you mentioned his age is 65 yr, he could be suffering from arthritis. Please do check his serum calcium. Vit. D levels. And do his xray of the bones he is having pains. And refer back. Dear Doctor, I am male aged 43 years working in the Central Government in New Delhi having anxiety problem since childhood. I started treatment since 1998 but in vain. I have gone through all therapies. Presently I am taking rivotril 2 mg. My problem is I am unable to laugh freely. When I laugh, I get pain in the jaws, stiffness and nervousness in the face and hotness in the face. This is creating embarrassing situation for me. None of the doctors treated my problem. Kindly help me out.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user as you mentioned you are having pain and stiffness while smiling, kindly refer to neurologist for same, which can be due to weakness of the nerves which supply muscles of face. I will advice to do MRI brain and detailed neurological examination. Have a nice day.
